Missed period, not pregnant

Feeling a bit gutted. We aren't TTC but I’d have loved a second DC.

I’m on CD38, the latest I have ever been except when pregnant (usual cycle is 27-29 days). My boobs hurt, but that’s all really. I’m 38 years old. Could be peri, but I’m young for it. 5 negative tests, the latest this morning.

Hand holds would be appreciated, and also any suggestions/ideas?

I’ve finally started bleeding today. 54 day cycle and 3 weeks after chemical. It’s such a shit experience ladies but it will come. I think the stress of waiting for mine made it worse and take longer to arrive. Hope you all get yours soon x

Joining this thread. Slightly different for me as I haven’t had a period for years as I was pregnant then went on a mini pill with no breaks after. Came off the pill to TTC 10 weeks ago and no sign of a period yet but also negative pregnancy tests. No idea what to do!

@beingwithbella03 Oh no 😭 I had a rubbish nights sleep I kept waking up and feeling really restless and I came on properly this morning so that’s probs why. I was 5 days late which is unusual for me but I’m putting it down to just one of those things 🤞🏼 Feeling for you that yours is still M.I.A though!! Hopefully it shows for you soon if you’re still getting the negative tests. X

@katie416 I've gotten to the point where I'm so bored of the whole thing. I'm on day 36 of this cycle now and not even had a spot of blood. Think I'm broken 🤣

@beingwithbella03 It’s just the worst feeling :( I had a bit of brown cm around lunch time and I thought finally af has arrived but nothing since, so a bit strange. I have a cervical ectropion so do sometimes spot / have brown cm but it’s usually after sex or exercise a long walk etc and I haven’t done anything of those so not sure. Even if I’m not pregnant I’d rather my period just come than be in limbo as I’m worried it’s something underlying that will stop me conceiving in the future…

@Legoladyp that is interesting and it's something I considered myself, I've come on about 3 weeks late. I am going to track my cycle more clearly to hopefully be more in tune with my body.

Thank you @beingwithbella03 appreciate that. I stopped testing after multiple BFNs it just felt a waste of money. I hope you get a resolution soon

@katie416 I'm unfortunately still in the same position as you. 7 days late today, bfn every single morning. I think i'm gonna stop testing and just go with the flow.

I believe these are chemical pregnancies. I am super sensitive to pregnancy and have been in the same boat but started puking then came on my period. I don’t think the pregnancy is progressing hence the negative tests but your body isn’t letting go of the pregnancy yet.

Hi ladies. Can I join? Feeling so down. Me & my other half have just decided that we’d start trying for baby no 2, our DD is 20 months old and we ideally want to have another before she’s 3. I should have come on my period Thursday but no show and I’m now 4 days late which has never ever happened in the whole time I’ve been having periods apart from when I was pregnant with DD. I was totally in denial I was pregnant with her and didn’t test until at least a week after my missed period but the line was a definite dye stealer. I’ve taken a cheapy strip test every day since I was due on and all BFNs. My boobs are sore but that’s probably the only symptom I have. Just have this really horrible feeling. X

well there must be something in the air because AF arrived for me this morning too!! was shocked as had no cramping or sign she was on her way, but feeling relieved

As I suspected, my period arrived this evening. It has been a horrible time of suspense but I’m glad it's over for me, at least.

@tobi21 I also struggle with MH and sympathise. Call the GP, the worst that can happen is they tell you to come back in a week or so, but it is worth investigating if there could be another cause. My mind keeps going to ectopic pregnancies and MMCs.

I’m managing to distract myself with planning a vicarage garden party for the coronation - how did I end up as a vicar's wife ffs 🤦‍♀️😆 it's like a fucking Agatha Christie novel (minus the murders)!

Hey @vicaragechristmas so sorry you're having a hard time Sad it really is shit being in this limbo. Still no sign of AF here. Trying my best to not think about it but struggling, doesn't help when you chat to someone irl and they are "convinced" you are pregnant. I am seriously considering asking the GP for a blood test now, I have a mixed anxiety disorder which I take medication for and would like answers before my mental health suffers

Thank you all for keeping me company, but I’m sorry you’re all struggling with this too. I ended up crying over it yesterday, but I’m starting to feel pre menstrual so hopefully my period will show up over the next day or two.

How's everyone else doing?

No covid here, nothing out of the ordinary, in fact. I’m on CD39 now, still have breast pain and a bit of nausea and I’m pretty tired (but I did have a broken night so 🤷‍♀️)

@tobi21 I’ve just seen the NHS advice about waiting for 3 missed periods before seeking advice - but what about potential ectopic pregnancies, missed miscarriages etc?? Now I’m not sure whether I should ring on Monday or not sigh

Same here. Day 47 of cycle now. Normally very regular 28-32 days. Had a positive test in day 33 with sore boobs but negative by day 35 and still no period. GP isn’t worried but I’m completely stuck in limbo it’s horrible

tested again this morning and looks pretty negative, still no period and stuck in limbo
