Ovulation tracking help I'm going mad!

Hi everyone

Please help!

My oh is going on tour with the army for 4 months and I really want to conceive before then. Today we say good bye Hmm
The last week we dtd every day including Easter Sunday but yesterday he said he can't do it again! I have been getting flashing smileys on my clear blue advanced for 8 days now, including today. On opk cheapies it looks like the line is fading and peaked a few days ago. I had ewcm a few days ago and it's died up/ gone a bit creamy now. But bbt is totally
Confusing! It dipped and peaked a few days ago but then this morning it's dipped! I have attached the picture-top line is bbt
Please can someone help? I'm going out of my mind testing ! I can't believe this may have been missed... or have I not ovulated? We had a mmc a few months ago and chemical last month

Hello, hope you don't mind me jumping on I have read your post and didn't want to just run without replying as you seem stressed.

I don't understand ovulation tests well so unable to comment on this.
If your OH is now away and you are unable to see each other, there is really nothing more you can do. I really do mean this nicely but obessesing over ovulation when you aren't able to see each other is only just going to cause you stress and may make you unwell. What's done is done and unfortunately all you can do now is wait. It sounds like youve covered yourself well before he went away but unfortunately this is out of your control.

I really hope you have good news this cycle and understand completely the time pressure, but please try not to obsess, what will be will be. Xx

This is the chart, obviously based on the opk being positive earlier than I think it was- as you guys noted the peak was actually a few days ago

I can't. He is 10 hours away and would have had to leave last night. I thought we were ok and I had ovulated yesterday at worst, so meeting would have been pointless and expensive... my cheap opks weee darkest yesterday but I had positive clear blue 2 days ago.

Do you have the full chart with most recent opks and bbt on it? Its a little tricky to try and visualise it with the numbers youve said
I think to know you've covered all basis just meet with your other half

This is the chard, but obviously just the chart with the cheapies and. It the digital clear blue which said I peaked 2 days ago

So I got a positive digital peak fertility 2 days ago
And then a peak opk yesterday...
But then my bbt dropped again today
Do you think I haven't ovulated yet?

My cm is misleading. Was most ewcm on the day of the peak clear blue 2 days ago, but now it's sticky and cloudy

If it looks +++ today then usually you will ovulate within 48 hours. Id try and meet him if you can.

Also the OPKs are better later on in the day and not woth fmu. Fmu is better for pregnancy tests.

If you had a loss last month that may explain why youre hormones arent quite settled this month xx

sorry to be crazy... i wanted to ask your thoughts! I did a mid morning OPK and (as above, CM stringy/creamy) BUT the cheapie is positive. The most positive ive seen: totally equal lines. Also 2 other CB digitals are solid smiley today (i got a solid smiely yesterday tho at 8 am).
There is an option for my OH to meet met omorrow at around 2 pm. Do you think if we DTD tomorrow around that time we are in the window?! or more in the window now with 5 day old sperm from around 11.30 this morning? x

I'm really up again st the 5 days window as we dtd on Sunday around 11 am!!! Do you think I missed it? My cm is stringy and creamy though

What are your opks saying this afternoon? I'm not great at explaining the science behind it but the more accurate readings are meant to be in the pm

How long have you being ttc and have you been on any birth control prior to this? Just if it's all relatively new and coming off birth control, it could take a while for your body to level its self out

sorry to badger on this again. Another question... so yesterday my bbt jumped up to a highest point so far, (although how reliable is my bbt if i was testing on hols and at different times...)then today it was elevated but lower. Today i finally got solid smiley at 8 am. But my CM is now not clear, a little stringy at times but otherwise sticky (sorry tmi). WHAT does this mean?! the cheapie OPK looked a lot stronger today with the same urine at 8 am. i just dont know really what to expect now. Would you say i have ovulated? or i havent yet?

thanks everyone... so I hadd to get up at 4 am to wee and again at 6 am, so i tested both urine and both were flashing smiely. then went for a walk and at 8 am i tested again with dehydrated urine after my walk and: SOLID SMILEY!
i dont know whether this means that i had the LH Surge earlier, and my pee was too diluted? or i just had the surge this morning? its.an incredibly tight window we are playing in now, we last DTD on sunday morning around 11 am UK time... so im guessing we may have missed it? unless i ovulate in the next 12 hours? im SO ANNOYED we didnt dtd on monday!

Does the flashing smiley mean that levels are a little higher and maybe ovulation is imminent?
The fact that your bbt is about your cover line probably means that ovulation did happen? Has it been high for a few days now?
But yes if you haven't ovulated yet then yes sperm can only live in the correct conditions for up to 5 days

So bbt is 38.77 today so still above the average but flashing smiley!!!! So I'm thinking as we dtd on Sunday mid morning... I'm out the window if i ovulate tomorrow/ Saturday?

Thanks. It's a gamble as he can't meet me until Saturday and even then it would be expensive to be together and I may miss the window! If i ovulate on Friday which would be 10 if the ovulation sticks being flashing smiley!kicking myself for us not doing it on Monday /tues morning!!!!

It is confusing about the flashing smiley. I don't use those type so I can't help you there. Definitely keep testing if you're able to and if there's another chance to visit OH this weekend then I'd take it! Ties in with previous cycles for around your ovulation dates and then you can be totally happy that you've covered all basis.

thank you @TTC53 its so distracting isnt it! i swear there is an entire market for OPK interpretors!
I am just confused by the clear blue digital never goign to solid smiley - it always has before. i am nearly 40 so worrying ive left it too late!
i can try and get to my OH on friday night or saturday in case i ovulate then but what are the chances?!?!
ive been having flashing smileys since the 4th!
i did check my other opk cheapies and they were a faint line (actualy fainter than this month) when i "conceived" although it was a chemical.
my cycles are usually 32-40 days
last month i had a heavier and longer period and later because i had actually conceived
im on day 14 now (so still early for me, last month i ovulateda round day 18 i think). perhaps its just too early.

It's so difficult to be able to confirm or help you with you answers @chilternchica. And I know its not the answer you want but waiting it out will give you the answers you need

Typically before af your temp will drop so a rise won't indicate this is coming imminently. How long is your lutual phase usually?

Testing for bbt at different times because of your holiday will have most certainly have had an impact so maybe you haven't seen the 'typical' rise after ovulation as a result of that.

Like I mentioned before, try not to worry if you don't see your opks as dark as others on here or other sites. I drove myself mad thinking I wasn't ovulating because of that. Scans and charting my temps have confirmed I do indeed ovulate each cycle but i must have a short peak as I rarely seem to catch a reading over 1 on pre mom app.

If you've got opks left I'd keep checking them daily with your pm urine and keep checking your bbt to get a better overall look at your cycle

Either way, there's not much you can do now so try your very best to not over think it - easier said than done I know!!! (Coming from a serial googler here!)

The previous high bbt was 36.63 on 6 April... and today 36.82.. last month when I had the chemical I had a solid smiley on clear blue dig but the opk was not actually as dark as mine above on 8 April!

So this morning my bbt did rise to 36.8 which I think is the highest. But both digital clear blues are flashing smileys! And the opk is not as dark as before!!! Have I missed it do you think? And the bbt is because af is coming?

With OPKs the line on the left needs to be as dark as or darker than the line on the right. That indicates you will ovulate soon. Could be the same day, could take 3 days. Its such an annoying waiting game, i really feel for you.

Annoyingly I am getting these cramps as well -maybe my body is trying to ovulate but can't!?!? Come on egg!

Thanks everyone!!! I just retested with clear blue digital and it's flashing smiley still !
With bbt testing it's been a bit different as I was on holiday (3 hour time difference) and I was testing different times give it take 2 hours but always in the morning before getting up
I don't have any ewcm any mor though
And the test line on the cheapie opk seems to be getting lighter so I'm very confused

I have Been testing with fmu for both clear blue digital and cheapies

Oh I'm feeling really fed up! We last dtd on Sunday mid morning... it's looking unlikely I will conceive this cycle isn't it!? It used to be so straightforward to pin point ovulation before
