kays she sounds a cow, i think thats where my natural bull-ishness would have kicked in, im naturally overprotective so my inner lioness would of kick in and i would of probably caused i scene, DP says im forever doing that!

Mind-you i dont think that will be a prob for me if i get to give birth in the midwife led unit where i want as they all seem lovely x

I had a fairly good experience until after I had ds. the nurse who looks after you after giving birth was a cow!!
Dh wasnt allowed any food or coffee he had to go and buy it so I just gave him mine. I wanted to breast feed but I didnt know what to do, she was no help at all. Was far too busy talking on the phone to someone about going out that night. then she didnt want me to go home as I hadnt breast fed him I told her she should've helped me then and I was going home as I'd ok'd it with the Paed and the head nurse.

If I see her again I might cry, she took most of the vouchers I was meant to get in the pack they give you so DH complained and we got £150 from the hospital!!

Kay, will def be stealing my Mums TENS machine, have used it before when I was ill to numb the pain and it is great.

I spose I just hate hospitals and the idea of giving birth in one feels me with panic right now. Have only ever had bad hospital experiences (obviously not pg related).

OO share LL (if you want to of course) I am looking for nad experiences as well as good. I know I have about 18 months to make a decision but I want to do it with as much info as possible as of course all the site with info about home birth are from that point of view and even the ladies how have had to be rushed into hospital (one lady lost 4 pints of blood post birth) have still said it was a positive experience and the doctors have said it was nothing to do with being a home birth.

Get a Tens machine it is a real help, but not in a pool!!
Gas and air made me feel sick, I was awful on it but it did help

My friend had her baby there I think. She went on holiday at 37 weeks there as her dp was going surfing nearby.
She had her second up here and hated it and wants to go back down there for her 3rd

The pain is bad but it isn't constant and gas and air is very good so dont worry about that. I had real problems with dd?s birth, we very nearly lost her. I am so worried the same will happen again and this is the only reason I would not elect for a home birth.

Well at least its nice to hear positive QM birth stories, that does help. Its such an unknown for me dont know anyone around here who has kids or has recently had kids to talk to about all these things.

Thats another problem for me Playing, I'm around 40 minutes from a hospital, so I would be terrified

Playing it is indeed QM where people have babies, im planning to use there midwife unit if poss,my friend gave birth there and had a really positive experience, its really lovely, but defo no home birth for me

The pain is the only thing that does concern me over a home birth, cos I have never done it so I dont know what it will be like. I am used to dealing with pain and I know water helps me but still, its such a big unknown. I was concerned about the babies health as well but on reading that most emergency c-sections take 30-45 mins from consultant ordering it to getting into theatre and realising that it wouldnt take as long as that to get from my house in an ambulance to QM in Pompey (think its QM not QA?) and the hosiptal would be prepared and waiting for me it has elivated many concerns that I would be putting baby at risk. In fact the midwife would probably realise there was a problem long before they would in hospital cos you get 1 on 1 care so I could be in theatre quicker and of course statistically you are a lot less likely to have a problem. Plus thinking about it the birth centre in our local hospital is only for low risk births so if there was a problem there I would still have to be transfered to Pompey. Not trying to decide now just trying to find out as much information as I can.

I loved them as a kid and saw some from the 'Bee Movie' and thought I had to have one!!
I also would like 4 kids.

Property wise we are sticking in rented for DC1,then when im back at wrk part-time and DP had a payrse we will hve a better idea of what we can afford and go from there

in terms of age im 20, 21 on the 25th of this month so will prob still be 21-22 when i have LO...

I am aiming for at least two and DP agrees and maybe a third... We have picked names already..

Glad I'm not the only only wanting 4! Don't worry too much about fitting them ion - I started at 31 and have done 3, so hopefully will fit another in before I'm 39!

Kay! I rememeber Pez's! (first time and second time around). First time round Mickeys and disney characters, second time with dds in Topshop, where they spotted Bratz ones at check-out - v.bizarre! In fact 'You Pez-head' was a popular insult at school .

I think I have the worst willpower of everyone on here put together. Dh and I agreed to talk about ttc #2 when ds was 2, he isn't even 1 yet!!

I always wanted 4 children but chances are i will have to stop at 2 but never mind at least i am lucky to have had any.

Hey LL, u are not too old. I really didn't mean 30's is too old (beginning to regret bringing up anythign about age) just that yes, I want at least 3 kids and am paranoid delaying it would make it impossible, plus not sure I have the will power to wait too long, been waiting years already!
