Hi everyone, welcome to those joining and hello again to my soul sisters from the December thread. I saddened to see you still, but happy to have company.
May this thread bring us all luck xxx

Sounds like you have a good plan then and glad to hear all of the other tests are normal.
Its so hard to not think there is something wrong when even if you time everything right there is only a 20/25% chance!
It really is a game of luck and I think as long as we are doing what we can and controlling what we can, It’s the best we can do.
Hang in there and try and stay as positive as you can! Sending lots of love and luck x

lottieb92 · 14/04/2023 14:27

@jessie92 interested to know how you get on because i called about hycosy yesterday after some research - but the company I called with only wanted my money if I was signed up to IUI with them or IVF of course to which they said no point 🙈
I said I’m not quite there yet, I just want to know my tubes are okay…
took all my courage to call and then felt deflated after! Maybe I’ll travel further afield to see if somewhere else will book me one!!

jessie92 · 14/04/2023 11:54

Thanks @Caroline1989 . Yep am 11dpo today 💭 have a call to discuss hycosy which will probably be the next test to happen next cycle. It checks if the tubes are clear but have read ina couple of places that it can help fertility too, so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 all other tests have come back normal so far!

Caroline1989 · 14/04/2023 10:45

Sorry to hear that @jessie92 how many dpo are you? May still be early?

I know you said you had started your tests, will you be going back to doc?

jessie92 · 14/04/2023 08:35

Guys I caved and took a test this morning- bfn as I suspected. Looks like things are about to get expensive 💭 almost at the one year mark and really want it to happen this year 🥺

@Floralsandsmiles oh it's great! So relaxing, it's a foot massage basically but all the different areas in your feet relate to different area of your body they can tell so much about you! Honestly try it sometime,
There is a lot of ones who specialise in fertility etc! X

Aww thank you @Daniki , I will look into a local one, to give it a go! Xxx

@Floralsandsmiles what about reflexology? Even for the relaxation benefits alone be worthwhile, a girl in work does it for me and it's amazing! Xx

Ooo what's this?? I need to find something @Daniki lol xxx

I got my AF today, fingers crossed for next cycle.

Big hug for you. Keeping everything crossed for next month x

buckingmad · 13/04/2023 12:37

I did pilates during my pregnancy with my first and I'm convinced it is what helped me bounce back so quickly. Your body changes so much when pregnant and all the muscles relax, it's a great way of keeping everything moving as it should.

@lottieb92 pilates does sound fun! Might give it a try 😊 I’m definitely not a fitness pro haha. Go for the odd run in the gym (which is not too fun but does make me feel good after). Taking up a new sport is probably a good idea 💭

Did anyone you try acupuncture? I tried it after my first miscarriage and kept going til jan this year and I really believe it helped me, I fell pregnant the first cycle after my first loss and I'm wondering now if I had of went back would I be pregnant again now! My lady only works Saturdays tho and I work most wknds so it's tough to get to see her x

I did a couple of sessions @Daniki , but I honestly felt no different at all and thought it was a waste of money for me. Maybe I'm not susceptible to it? Glad to hear it works for others though! 😊 I need to find something that will work for me maybe xxx

I'm officially in the TWW, 1dpo today. We dtd three times in the window but didn't manage on ovulation day yesterday as DH wasn't feeling well.
This is the first cycle post mc (mc at 8 weeks happened 4 weeks ago, haven't had a period yet) so although I'm hopeful I'm also feeling more relaxed than usual about whether it works this cycle. I'm still just happy and relieved that my cycles have resumed and feel like it would be too good to be true to fall again straight away. Let's see if I'm still feeling relaxed in a week's time...

Kiwiburgh · 13/04/2023 02:27

Hey, jumping across from the December thread. 10dpo and negative on FRER. I feel like I'd at least have a very faint line if it was my month especially on a FRER.😞 not feeling hopefull.

I'm 31 trying for baby #2, this is currently my 4th cycle trying after a 6 week misscariageon cycle #1. It happened first time with DS who is now 14 months and I naively expected that to happen again 🙈

Good luck to everyone and baby dust to you all!

@jessie92 ive thrown myself into a fair few new challenges / distractions since TTC
but more recently started a Pilates class at my local village hall! And it’s been SO nice to have an hour to get my mind off of it, try something new and I think it’ll be beneficial in pregnancy and after ☺️

even trying it at home on YouTube. You might already be a fitness pro though. So sorry if that’s not your thing 🙈

TTCing · 12/04/2023 21:06

@Angelselevenx sorry to hear about your loss, sending my love! And thank you for your kindness xx

@Daniki thank you for your support and I’m sorry to hear you’ve also had a difficult time. I totally resonate worrying all throughout pregnancy. My daughter’s pregnancy was so hard for my anxiety.

@jessie92 thank you ❤️ good luck for this cycle!

@Aquarius93 it’s hard when each month it doesn’t happen and the close age hopes begin to dwindle. I was hoping for an 18 month to 2 year age gap, but it will be over a 2 year age gap now.

sending love to you @Floralsandsmiles xxx

jessie92 · 12/04/2023 21:02

Sad to hear everyone’s struggling so much 😞 I was wondering if anyone has any tips for how to stay positive about it/ not let it overwhelm too much? Sounds a bit silly but interested to know peoples coping strategies!

For example, I am genuinely happy for friends who fall pregnant easily (even if they weren’t intending to!) and so in the moment am bubbly and excited with them. But it’s usually later on that it’s easy to get down about it taking so long/ being difficult. The Easter weekend seemed a good distraction / keeping busy but any tips would be good to hear.

💕

@Floralsandsmiles yep such a tough journey but glad to have these threads it’s not so lonely. There’s only so much I can talk to my husband about as he’s so positive all the time but there’s times I need to rant somewhere 🙈 x

Agreed @Daniki ! My DH is the same! Lol he is super supportive, but doesn't get it! 😅 xxx

@TTCing sorry for your loss and just to know your feelings are completely normal and totally understandable. I also get like jealous of people who fall pregnant easily and have never experienced a loss as they can enjoy their pregnancy without much worries, I know if I get pregnant again and it's successful I will worry until the day that baby is born 😩 very tough to be pregnant after a loss!
Wishing you all the best, I'm also trying for baby number 2 since July last year had 2 miscarriages and started trying again in feb this year after a 2 month break and getting frustrated it's not happening quick enough 🤪

Feel you both on this! @Daniki @TTCing ! I get super jealous of people being able to fall so easily, it physically hurts me and causes me so.much stress!
This whole journey is so upsetting and heartbreaking xxxx
