TTC12023 · 09/04/2023 07:20

Hi ladies! I was just wondering anyone wanted to join me in the TWW? According to my apps I was due to O tomorrow (10th, CD23) but have ended up O'ing on Thursday (06th, CD19 Hmm) so currently 3DPO. Thankfully had been BD but it's not going to be enough we don't think as only caught -3, -2, +1. This is our third month trying so not too long but I would love some company to stop me going mad, I only have a 10-12 day LP which is stressing me out as it doesn't feel long enough but apparently it is!! Grin. Baby dust to you all!

Congratulations @Ttcmumma ❤️ have you told your Partner now?

Ttcmumma · 21/08/2023 10:41

Had my scan this morning, baby seen measuring 6 weeks (expected 6+2 or 6+4) so seems ok. Measuring 4mm crl

Ttcmumma · 20/08/2023 21:31

Hey ladies! Been nervously getting through today as I have my early scan tomorrow and also reminding myself I'm still early so it may not go well but may be fine anyway! I still havent told my partner 😅 maybe tomorrow if the scan goes well. My mum thinks I'm taking the cat to the vet hence dropping my son off so he doesn't come lol.

So glad your scan went well @TTC12023 fingers crossed that's the first of many good signs and scans

Aww @BB2818 honestly I think you're at a point now where the chances of things going wrong are so so slim! I know ill be worried the whole way through so don't blame you but trust in your body after getting you and baby this far ❤️

My scan tomorrow won't even reassure me 😅 as last pregnancy I had a scan at 10+5 perfectly healthy only to find out at 13+2 that baby died at 10+6, the day after my scan 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I'll find out atleast if things are in the right place and progressing so far! Reminding myself today I am pregnant and grateful!

TTC12023 · 20/08/2023 19:06

@BB2818 a bit odd - I know I should be relieved (and I do) but there's still a niggly 'thing' in the back of my head.

I honestly cannot believe how long between scans it is on NHS! I'm in another group on an app which is predominantly US mummas and they have soooo many more scans than we do!

I completely understand your anxiousness, I'm already tee'ing DH up for another private scan at 16 weeks!

It's great you've not put any weight on, although I bet it's because you've been so sick? I've already put 4lb on 🙈🙈 hoping it'll calm down once my cravings for carbs go!

@TTC12023 so pleased for you. How are you feeling?

I have been feeling a little anxious. 17 weeks now. It seems like so long ago since my 12 week scan.

I had a midwife appointment the other day - just burst into tears as soon as we started speaking. She managed to find babies heart beat on the doppler even though she wouldn’t normally at that appointment. It’s just so long between scans etc. Then I haven’t put on any weight, not felt baby yet and occasional (rare) days of no sickness. Not that long until 20 week scan now 😬

TTC12023 · 20/08/2023 17:47

@Ttcmumma @BB2818 had my early scan; measuring 8+5 with a strong heartbeat 🥰❤️
How are you both doing?

BB2818 · 16/08/2023 15:27

@Ttcmumma I was working until 2 days before the sweep. On my feet all day. So quite active. I wasn’t suppose to finish until the following week but they suspected preeclampsia had to finish earlier than planned 🙈

BB2818 · 16/08/2023 15:26

@Ttcmumma well I think DC was bang on time. I had estimated a due date. They then scanned me put me two weeks behind. DC then arrived the day before I had estimated 🙈.

I had a sweep 2 days before my waters went. Also did a long walk the day before and had a hot curry for tea 🤣. Not sure which worked. I had also been living off pineapple for about 2 months. I didn’t realise it can induce labour until midwife said!

Ttcmumma · 16/08/2023 08:27

@BB2818 haha what's with these first children coming 2 weeks early and surprising us when everyone says theyll likely be late! Was you very active in your pregnancy? I run a dog walking business and I was running around the park about 10 minutes before my waters broke at 37+5 haha so I always assumed that's why he came early. Took him until 38 weeks to actually get out tho, thought he had changed his mind🤣

BB2818 · 15/08/2023 19:40

@TTC12023 however horrendous symptoms are alway a good sign. Every time I’m sick I tell myself this is a good thing 🤣

@Ttcmumma my first and only DC was 38 weeks. My EDD is 27th Jan but I just have this feeling baby will arrive on 12th Jan 😬. Knowing my luck I will go over 🙈

TTC12023 · 15/08/2023 13:18

@Ttcmumma this would be my first so no doubt I'll be late 😆

Ttcmumma · 15/08/2023 12:41

@TTC12023 haha it's reassuring atleast! Yes chewing gum is my absolute saviour at the moment.

I know! And my first born came at 38 weeks so we could well end up in labour at the same time it all goes well haha

TTC12023 · 15/08/2023 11:40

@Ttcmumma I wouldn't go that far 😂I can deal with most thing but feeling sick is the worst! I do know people have much stronger symptoms ad I shouldn't be complaining! Mints keep it at bay for now!

Glad you got you 3+, we're so close in dates which is lovely!

OP posts:
Ttcmumma · 15/08/2023 10:12

Ohh I bet that's relieving to have some symptoms now!

Im ok, I got my 3+ yesterday so that felt good after a weekend of my symptoms disappearing, tho they're definitely back. Feel quite sick and had to have a 2 hour nap yesterday I just couldn't keep going. Actually thought I was coming down with something but felt better with rest so guess it was pregnancy! My scan is Monday, very close to yours!

TTC12023 · 15/08/2023 09:02

@BB2818 symptoms have kicked in, still not horrendous like some people experience but the nauseous feelings have started morning and night (I tend to be OK in the day) oh and the gagging has started today - perfect 😆
We're going for an early scan on Sunday which is a bit nerve racking and booking in on Thursday next week - how are you getting on?

@Ttcmumma - how are you doing?

@BB2818 thanks for the reply!

I came off contraception in April last year.. I only started tracking my cycles the past few months so I'm not sure if it's just something I've started noticing because I'm paying more attention if that makes sense!

My last cycle and this cycle I have only had 1 day of spotting before my period properly starts.. I'm thinking this is just my new norm tbh!

BB2818 · 14/08/2023 21:01

How are you all?

@rosecbrm have you been on contraception? It can take your body up to 18 months to adjust when stopping. If you use an app to track cycles the spotting before AF doesn’t count as starting AF. CD1 will start when you put in light, medium or heavy flow.

I averagely had 2 days of spotting before AF but could be more or less than that.

rosecbrm · 11/08/2023 15:32

Hello all,

Hoping to join? I have been lurking on this thread for a while just being nosey and just want to say a huge congrats to those who are pregnant!

I have just started cycle 1 of TTC #1 (currently on CD2).

I have noticed that the past few cycles my luteal phase has only been 10/11 days, which I know is quite short (I have been OPK testing for a few months in preparation for TTC).. my cycles have only been 26/27 days when normally they are around 28/29 with O usually between CD15-17.

The previous months before that though I was getting very light spotting in the couple of days leading up to my period, which I didn't actually count as a period as I didn't even need to use any sanitary products it was that light! But then my luteal phase was around 12/13 days if I didn't count those spotting days (when I say spotting it was literally nothing, just a tinge of pink when I wiped).

I am starting pregnacare pre conception this month which I have read can alter cycles, is this going to work in my favour and extend my luteal phase?

Basically I am just panicking that there I something wrong and is there anything else I can do to lengthen my luteal phase, or am I just worrying for no reason? Also worries me that I get spotting a few days before my period.. some websites say this is completely normal and others don't.

I am a huge worrier and look into everything which does me no favours! I just want to be as prepared as I can be going in to this journey!

Sorry for the long post, sending lots of baby dust to those trying! TIA! X

BB2818 · 11/08/2023 11:23

@Ttcmumma try not to worry. Pregnancy and AF symptoms are so similar. Hopefully your Dr and midwife were just trying to get you checked out quicker as a precaution. I have had on and off mild cramps and back ache. Let us know how you get on 🥰

TTC12023 · 11/08/2023 11:23

@Ttcmumma it sounds like someone got the wrong end of the stick and wrote the wrong information down and have now panicked you!
So many people change their hospitals I think once they do some more research, I'm lucky in that my local is very good for maternity although part of me is trying to convince DH to go private 😂

OP posts:
Ttcmumma · 11/08/2023 11:11

@TTC12023 thank you! Yes I'd say it's similar to AF cramps and sometimes like I've ate something funny but it's all a mixture anyway as constipation etc doesn't help! And I always get very gassy when I'm pregnant. Yes I did tell her if happily come today to be sure but then she decided to not book me in. I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow so they really wouldn't see anything I don't think, was just a very confusing 10 minute convo with them! I may actually change hospital after my 12 week scan anyway as I've heard my local hospitals rating is quite bad 🤦🏼‍♀️

TTC12023 · 11/08/2023 11:09

@Ttcmumma try not to worry, mild cramping is normal I mistake mine for the tummy ache you get if you've eaten something off. If they're willing to see you'd I'd go to be honest, I'd love to be checked over to make sure everything is OK ❤

Ladies, mild AF type cramps are fine right? Epu have scared me... When my doctor referred me for an early scan she asked if I had pain or bleeding and I said no, just mild cramps which I assume are normal I just want to be referred because that's what epu advised when I had a mmc in January. Anyway she wrote on my notes that I have pain, maybe as an excuse to get me in easier? Tho she didn't actually clarify that mild cramping is normal I just assumed. Anyway yesterday epu gave me an appointment for 21st when I'm 6 weeks but today a lady is calling me telling me I have to come in today because the doctor said I have pain and any pain is pain, so I should be seen. after going back and forth for a while explaining that I didn't call the GP because of pain, but because of the MMC advise, i just answered mild cramping when the doctor asked if I had pain... She decided to let me just keep my appointment for the 21st. Now I'm panicking 😅. I do have a very high pain threshold, I'm not just overlooking these mild pains am I? Google says they're normal and usually Google says your dying if anything 😅

TTC12023 · 11/08/2023 10:12

@BB2818 I keep wishing for symptoms and then when I get slightly nauseous change my mind! I think they're there but super mild. I didn't feel 100% this morning, almost like I was hungover and I do feel sick if I'm hungry but honestly I just though that was me - the more I think about it maybe they've always been there but so mild I just ignored it!

OP posts:
BB2818 · 10/08/2023 17:36

@Ttcmumma don’t know how you are managing to keep it a secret from DH. Mine would ask me all the time if I was pregnant yet 🙈. Mainly when I was in a strop 🤣

@TTC12023 not going to lie. I am going to be super jealous if you don’t get any symptoms.

I had my first day yesterday where I wasn’t sick once 🙌🏻🤣. In fairness it has eased a bit. But I’m not at work at the minute and I think getting a good nights sleep and no urgency in the mornings helps with the self control as very nauseous still. Despite not being sick yesterday I did hug the toilet for 30 minutes heaving. DC was just be sick already and get it done 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣
