New thread for those of us now trying for the first babies of 2024, may we all be lucky this month!

I'm CD1 today of cycle 6 ttc my second.
Had a chemical at the end of February and lots of illness in March so revved up to give this month all I've got!

AF came this morning so officially CD1 of cycle 1 after miscarriage. Trying for baby #1

Annie1295 · 20/06/2023 23:18

@LetsGo36 not strange at all to feel a bit emotional I think. I'm still waiting for mine and am simultaneously dreading it and wishing for it to come so that we can move forward. Doesn't help that the nurse said it could be 4-8 weeks after medical management so no idea when it'll come. I've been feeling like I've got PMS for days now but nothing yet and it's slowly driving me insane

lottieb92 · 20/06/2023 21:17

For whomever needed it/ asked! Buckle up

HyCoSy update:
firstly, the gynaecologist was shocked I was there - totally for individual reasons, age, previous birth/pregnancy 7 years ago etc I wasn’t expecting that really I thought they’d just take my money and crack on but she seemed to genuinely care

I explained, I haven’t had any input from NHS for months, I’m just waiting for Laparoscopy surgery…
This made her even more confused πŸ˜‚ off to a great start. But the crux of it was, she wasn’t convinced I needed the invasive scan/ assessment if I ovulate normally, bloods all okay, I’m 30 yada yada I wanted to say β€œyeah no shit”

i nearly cried, I just said. I want answers, it’s beeen nearly 2 years and no luck whatsoever. They told me I have PCOS at the nhs scan

Then she held my hand and said let’s get some answers… You’re paying for it and if you want to know I’ll let you know.

The actual test, yes it hurt. It was bearable, but imagine it’s like a coil going in, smear like awkwardness. Didn’t last long I did deep breathing! It was SUCH a relief to know tubes okay, and I immediately followed her advice and booked in for follicle scans to check I am ovulating this cycle.
now I know I got lucky with good news, I could have heard the opposite but I felt a weight lifted knowing either way. Anyone else wanted to know more and just some reassurance. It was worth every penny!

also she thinks I just have ONE Polycystic ovary, not two… and probably PCO not PCOS. Mind blown.
I asked if I would qualify for Clomid or Letrozole as the NHS said no to me and shrugged that off due to ovulation bloods being ok. The answer was: there is potential, but a few more tests need to come back before they say yes!

Hello, my first month TTC with first baby. Started tracking LH levels yesterday but AF is irregular so Flo says I'm fertile now although I don't think I am as LH levels are 0.8 according to premom. It's a whole new world TTC!

bringmearainbow · 20/06/2023 19:49

@Angelselevenx lol I'm def she devil today got some good pms rage going on so AF is def on her way πŸ˜‚ it's really hard to be relaxed about it every time I think oh well just dtd this this and this day I get to O and think omg did we do enough πŸ™„

@L0uise35 I would say that's a faulty test. I think if you contact clear blue they will give you a replacement test

@SummerOak sometimes chemicals can throw your cycle off a little. Keep testing it will likely show just a bit late

@LetsGo36 im due AF after my last MC tomorrow or Thursday and it's def an emotional time. I remember the first AF after my first MC and it was a bit of a welcome relief that we could start again I knew where I was and what was happening with my body

LetsGo36 · 20/06/2023 16:06

Sorry that last meant to say MC

LetsGo36 · 20/06/2023 16:05

hi all LOise35 it won’t let me tag you. I had a clear blue a few months ago diagonal and was a faulty test I’m afraid prob best to try another

I’m CD1 got my first AF since my MF. Found it quite emotional (sorry if that sounds strange) but at least we can move forward now

SummerOak · 20/06/2023 15:26

Hi, I'm new to ovulation tracking and everything. I just started it last month after trying 4 months without it. I got my first ever positive test last month and a week later I had a chemical pregnancy. GP said that after it you're even more fertile, but I'm on CD17 (last time it was on the 14) and I still haven't got a positive. I feel like either I've missed it or I'm not going to ovulate this month.

L0uise35 · 20/06/2023 12:51

Hey all so I have no patience. I done a clearbue early detection and instead of a vertical line for a positive I got a horizontal. Does this just mean faulty test

Angelselevenx · 20/06/2023 09:27

@bringmearainbow I think we all turn into the she devil so don't worry 🀣. Glad you've got answers though and hope you're feeling okay.

Yeah it is! I also feel like I'm trying to take a relaxed approach but how can I be relaxed when there's only so many days a month it'll actually make a difference on DTD πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ bloody stressful xxx

bringmearainbow · 19/06/2023 15:52

@Angelselevenx so looking at the symptoms after I found out about them a lot of things really resonate with me so probably I've had them for a while but just chalked it up to having a busy family life πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ doh! I don't think I've had any symptoms for the blood clotting one not that I know of anyway. Hoping I don't turn into the she devil once I start taking everything at next positive πŸ˜¬πŸ™ˆ

Lol bbt is helpful and so unhelpful isn't it πŸ˜… I've kind of learnt to ignore it and just look for my temp rise so I know it's happened then leave it alone. it will happen you will get there lovely and while you wait you can tell us how shitty waiting is we all get it and we don't mind if you need to complain ❀️ xxx

Angelselevenx · 19/06/2023 15:32

@bringmearainbow I know exactly what you mean, does the auto immune & blood clotting issue have any side effects? I'm guessing you didn't know about them at all until recently? Rubbish but I'm glad you're getting treatment, fingers crossed for a BFP for you in the next couple of months.

I feel like as the months go on I'm getting less and less positive and more deflated to be honest, 5 cycles I know isn't long in the scheme of things πŸ˜”. I am yeah, OPK are still low although I didn't use it today as didn't see the point, still early into FW but will maybe start again tomorrow. Still doing bbt as well although that's a bloody mindf**k in itself πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ xxx

bringmearainbow · 19/06/2023 14:09

@Angelselevenx the steroids will help with the auto immune issues in a pregnancy capacity but going forward I need a follow up with my endocrinologist for my thyroid and a consultation with a rheumatologist for my positive rheumatoid factor which is part of rheumatoid arthritis so I'm not sure how they get managed separate from TTC. I'm happy that I have some answers for the MCs but a bit gutted that I have these issues that I'll just have them for the rest of my life and will need to be managed 😒

Oooh coming into FW fun though it's maybe not the weather for sweaty DTD πŸ˜… gosh 5 cycles that must feel like a long time for you lovely I hope your not feeling too deflated in know how frustrating it is ❀️ let's hope this is the one 🀞🏼 you using opks alongside bbt? I can't remember if you used them or not xxx

Angelselevenx · 19/06/2023 13:55

@bringmearainbow oh no hun what a nightmare, glad you've been checked out though and got a way forward. Are what you've been prescribed going to help with the auto immune side as well? Hope you're feeling okay!

I'm on CD15 today, O will be CD20 I think DTD this morning and then going to try for Wednesday/Thursday and then Friday/Saturday and that should cover me hopefully. I'm on cycle 5 now though and the CP was cycle 2 which feels crazy xxx

bringmearainbow · 19/06/2023 13:52

@Angelselevenx you haven't lovely I haven't updated it's all been a bit crazy πŸ™ˆ I had my private ultrasound they've left some tissue in there πŸ™„ and got my blood test results which all in all amount to I have two separate auto immune issues and blood clotting issue which could all contribute to the MC's. So going forward I'm just waiting for AF which hopefully should be weds/Thurs after that I have to go back for a scan to check the tissue has gone 🀞🏼 and then we can get on TTC. She's prescribed me steroids, blood thinners and progesterone so they are ready to start taking at next positive. My Vit D is on the lower end of ok so I've upped that and I'm on a higher dose of folic acid too.

Where are you in your cycle now? Xxx

lottieb92 · 19/06/2023 13:33

Updating I had 2 faint line cheap tests
then period 2 days late. Frustrating.

think this might have been chemical but not dwelling on it as HyCoSy tomorrow and I am SO nervous
I can’t remember whose asked if I can keep informed sorry! Been a hectic week…
but I’ll let you know how it goes 🀭

Angelselevenx · 19/06/2023 13:11

@bringmearainbow how are you doing? Sorry if I've missed any updates from you on here x

LetsGo36 · 15/06/2023 15:25

@Annie1295 yes, indeed. Sending love x

Annie1295 · 15/06/2023 15:16

@LetsGo36 sorry to hear you also had a MMC. It's really hard but hopefully it's just a one off and everything will be fine going forward

LetsGo36 · 15/06/2023 14:04

@Annie1295 welcome, I had a MMC the end of may too. I’m so sorry you’ve just gone through this too. Such a hard time. I’ve been struggling a lot. Let’s hope all goes well in the future. Xx

lottieb92 · 15/06/2023 08:25

Officially late. I am gutted all tests BFN
i just want her to come so I can go ahead with the hycosy :(

if it doesn’t come today or tomorrow I will have to call the clinic and see what I can do.

haven’t been late in almost 2 years of trying and the time I need these dates to be spot on she plays me.
I took a ovulation test as well so I am shocked it hasn’t turned up! I would be 14DPO now!?

Annie1295 · 14/06/2023 15:31

Can I join this thread? Currently waiting for my first period after MMC at the end of May and both DH and I are keen to start trying again. I took us 8 months the first time but hopeful that it will happen sooner and we'll have a 2024 baby!

lottieb92 · 14/06/2023 14:59

@jessie92 thanks again! That’s helpful.
I went today for infection/sti clearance haha with view to continue next week
but my period is now officially … late! Because I never usually come on this time of day!

Technically only 8 hrs so i won’t start flapping
But how typical when I want her to show so my HyCoSy can go ahead πŸ˜–

boobs huge and on fire cannot Read this cheap test and if it’s not here by this evening
i will be going to buy more 😨

jessie92 · 13/06/2023 21:31

Sorry to hear that @lottieb92 . They do always say you don’t know until period comes, will keep fingers crossed for you!

id say there is a lot of talk about it being so painful, and while I would say it was uncomfortable it really wasn’t that bad. Had a nap after when got home, a bit of a weird cycle after with spotting and such. But if it does increase fertility then 100% worth it and would do it again if needed. You’ll be totally fine 😊

lottieb92 · 13/06/2023 15:00

@jessie92 no period today
and negative test - due tomorrow… kind of knew it and the pain in boobs must be period 😣

Wow fingers all crossed for you love I have heard the same or similar!!
ive just booked my HyCoSy! Was it painful?! I’ve heard Mixed reviews
mine is next week 20th! πŸ˜–
