Tracking BBT - TTC

Hi everyone! It's our second cycle TTC and first cycle tracking my BBT and I find it all so interesting, I'm learning so much about my body that I didn't even think of before. I'd like to see others graphs that are TTC and how their graph reflected a BFN or BFP. I'm 5DPO and temperature dipped yesterday but back up again today.

Feel free to share your graph so we can discuss all things TTC and BBT 😊

@Ttcsecond what CD are you? I'd keep testing throughout the day just incase it peaks later on! Xx

Ttcsecond · 19/04/2023 07:49

@Angelselevenx
No peak today! So annoyed. My tests are super light. Xx

Angelselevenx · 18/04/2023 12:09

@Ttcsecond I hope it's soon for you to! Got my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

Good idea on not putting pressure on it, definitely the best way.

Me neither, and my OH has hidden the tests for me so I can't test early. Although we have a wedding to go to the weekend I'd be 14dpo so I'd need to test on 11dpo which I guess is better than 9! Xx

@Angelselevenx oooo it’s getting close. Really hoping it’s soon for you.
Managed to DTD twice so far and will attempt at least twice more. Not told my OH that it’s fertile week as didn’t want to put any pressure on it.

that’s great about your doctor. I haven’t made an appointment yet but going to ring for an appointment this week and just get everything on my record so that if it happens again this month can get the ball rolling.

I’ve not bought any FRERs for testing. Want to try and resist as long as possible and just live my life inbetween. But how long that lasts I don’t know 🤣

xx

Angelselevenx · 18/04/2023 11:32

@Ttcsecond I spoke to my doctors yesterday as well and she said that if it happens a second time she will get me in for testing my levels etc and to not wait for it to happen 3 times like the nhs website says xx

@Ttcsecond how funny! I've been thinking ooh I wonder if ttcsecond has ovulated yet 🤣 well done for making healthier habits!!

No peak for me yet either, expecting it Thursday if the CP hasn't messed it all up which means I should O Friday or Saturday!

SMEP is going well, mixed up a couple of days but as I'm entering the FW I'll just take it whenever we can 🤣. Have you started DTD? Xx

OP posts:
Ttcsecond · 18/04/2023 11:30

@Angelselevenx you must be a mind reader as I was going to message you today 🤣

No peak yet but expecting it tomorrow hopefully. Even if I don’t fall pregnant this month the positive is that I’m definitely at lot healthier with the exercise, vitamins and good food.

how are you doing? How’s SMEP going? Xx

Angelselevenx · 18/04/2023 10:55

@Ttcsecond how you doing ? Xx

Angelselevenx · 13/04/2023 13:02

@Ttcsecond ah well done!! Definitely worth doing incase they can offer any help or even just to have it on file. I've got a telephone appointment next Monday to get some advice/see if I can just get my progesterone tested, unlikely they will as it's my first loss but worth asking.

Aww I'm good your being positive, I'm also feeling exactly the same but also keep reminding myself it doesn't always happen straight away after a loss to save myself the heartache. OPK same as me too, low but started SMEP, eeeek 🤞🏼 I really hope it happens for us this month xx

Ttcsecond · 13/04/2023 12:19

@Angelselevenx

Doing ok thanks. You have spurred me on to ring the doctors just now. Either have to ring them at 8.30am tomorrow to get an appointment or write a note that they can scan into my file and the doctor can ring me if they want to discuss. Not sure which option I am going to do yet.

How are you?

My OPKs are still low but that’s expected at CD10. Temp also low but I’m started getting a little excited at the prospect of being pregnant by then end of the month xx

@Angelselevenx I’m sure you’ll crack a good formula for your juice.

Not really doing much different. Maybe trying to relax a little more but will see if that stays the case gearing up to ovulation.

I know what you mean about going to the toilet after, it’s meant to help prevent UTIs isn’t it. But I think I’ll do the same and just lie there for a bit.

One other thing I read that’s good for Ttc is dark chocolate, that’s definitely something I can get onboard with 🤣.

Got everything crossed for you too! Xx

Angelselevenx · 11/04/2023 21:47

@Ttcsecond oh that's good!

The green juice wasn't the greatest 🤣 trial and error but will get a good recipe soon to get the greens in I'm sure! That's good going, I do bloody love a Pepsi Max 😋

Multivits are good to take, I feel like I need to add more into my tablets but I really think I take everything I can. Are you tracking bbt this month?

Nothing different really to be honest, taking my OPK each morning and BBT, vitamins each day, SMEP and gross - I used to go for a wee after DTD but now I don't so I can leave as much in there possible (tmi). Are you doing much different?

I've really got my fingers crossed for you, I've said it before but I see so so many positive stories of people falling after a CP so I really hope this month is ours 🤞🏼🤍. Xxx

Ttcsecond · 11/04/2023 21:41

@Angelselevenx my omega 3 tablets are made from flax seeds so hoping I’m getting enough of the flax seeds through that. And then after ovulation adding in sunflower seeds too.

How was the green juice? I don’t drink tea of coffee but I do drink Coke Zero/pepsi max so having less of them or having a zero caffeine one. Not going too bad so far.

Haven’t made it to town to get my other half any conception vitamins but have been making him take a multivitamin that we have in the house.

Are you doing anything else different? Every month I’ve been trying someone close to me has gotten pregnant so I’m telling myself that was their month, this is going to be mine. Xx

Angelselevenx · 11/04/2023 21:19

@Ttcsecond I feel like this too 🤣 wishing the bloody month away, I'm on CD 11/5 depending on when I class as CD1 so still ages to go until O day! I read about Brazil nuts too and flax seeds! I started my green juices this morning to help boost progesterone naturally 🤞🏼

Well done on running, how are you finding reduced caffeine? I only drink one coffee in the morning and don't think I could cut that one out 🤣.

I'm okay thank you, the bleeding stopped yesterday finally so we're doing SMEP this month xxx

Hello @Angelselevenx
Feeling very impatient today 🤣. I’m only CD8. Keep reading what else helps fertility and adding them in (pomegranate juice, Brazil nuts, pumpkin seeds, blueberries). So it appears I have swapped spending lots of money on pregnancy tests to spending lots of money on seeds and fruit. Plus started running more and drinking less caffeine.
How are you doing? Xx

Angelselevenx · 11/04/2023 19:12

@Ttcsecond how are you doing? Xxx

Angelselevenx · 07/04/2023 20:40

@Ttcsecond definitely give them a call! I think they check your progesterone levels for you so it might be that you don't need to use the Superdrug one, I also seen that though but thought I'd try again this month and if no luck then get my progesterone levels checked.

Exactly, every little helps and little changes could make a big difference!

I've made my OH hide all the tests and I refuse to test until AF is due, we have a family wedding a couple of days after AF is due so I would need to check anyway incase I can't drink 🤞🏼 xx

OP posts:
Ttcsecond · 07/04/2023 20:35

@Angelselevenx I’ve not called the doctors but feeling a bit silly now that I haven’t. I might give them a call next week and see what they say. Also found you can get progesterone tests done with Superdrug so maybe I’ll order that and check.

That’s good to know about leafy greens. I’ll definitely add more of them in. My partner currently doesn’t take any vitamins but thanks for the heads up, will get him some as can only help.

Going to try and not spend a small fortune on tests this month 🤣xx

Angelselevenx · 07/04/2023 19:25

@Ttcsecond oh bless you going through that on your own, that's quite a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. That's 3 CPs, have you been to the doctors for tests? I made sure I called the doctors about my CP and was adamant it was on my record for future reference should it be a recurring issue.

Well done, it's a big step and you will get there!! Could there be something with progesterone which is preventing a sticky bean? I've been looking at ways to increase progesterone naturally and it seems to be lots of leafy greens. Decided I'm going to have a leafy green and cucumber/mango smoothie each morning to really try and get it boosted incase that played a part in mine.

Holland and Barrett have wellman conception tablets on BOGOF if your OH is taking those or wanting to start taking them.

For sure!! I've got my fingers tightly crossed for you too, we will get there 🤍 I'm on CD2 (that's what I'm classing it as) and usually ovulate around CD21 so I have a little while too xxx

Ttcsecond · 07/04/2023 19:03

@Angelselevenx
Yes. January got a faint positive around 11dpo and but by 16dpo AF arrived. Then February my ovulation was delayed by a couple of days but again I got faint positives but 14dpo AF arrived. This month felt different, my tests were so much stronger and I was so hopeful. Praying ovulation is on time/early this month. I usually ovulation around cd17 and on cd4 today so got some time yet. Finally threw away the tests today. Ready for a new chapter.

Same goes to you, ever need to chat or rant then you can message me 😊.

I think you’re right to stick with doing what you’re doing. 🤞🏻 For a baby this month. Would give us something to look forward to after Christmas! Xx

Angelselevenx · 06/04/2023 13:39

@Ttcsecond oh I'm sorry, have you had a couple of chemicals? If you ever need to rant or whatever then please just message.

I'd be healthy if I didn't eat chocolate 🤣 I try to be, but goes to show even regular exercise doesn't stop something like this happening 😔 but like you said there are so many positive stories about falling again after a CP so I've got our fingers crossed. What CD are you now?

Yeah I agree, I'm trying to get as much information about things as I can but there's so much information and so much conflicting info that it just gets confusing. I think I'll stick to how I am at the minute and take the pre natal vitamins, track bbt and OPK and just keep my fingers crossed. I do think my vitamins played a part this month as I didn't fall in February and it was after that cycle I started taking them, I only came off contraception in December so maybe my hormones are still all over the place xx

OP posts:
Ttcsecond · 06/04/2023 12:33

@Angelselevenx no I’ve not told him about the chemicals I’ve had. He doesn’t do well with bad news (starts to think the worse) so easier to just deal with it myself. I hope you’ve found some support in your partner.

Wow you sound super healthy. I do a lots of walking but starting running about this past week now that the nights are lighter.

it’s really easy to overthink things isn’t it. Just got to take each day as it comes and hope for the best. Xx

Angelselevenx · 06/04/2023 09:26

@Ttcsecond glad you're okay, did your OH half know about your CP?

I might look into more Vit C, I exercise 4-5 times a week at the gym plus an hour dog walk everyday so I feel like that's enough for me, although I am taking a few days off gymming just to allow my body some rest.

Tbh I don't think the doctors would even help at this stage as it's my first loss but might try asking anyway. I'm alright thank you, just overthinking everything xx

OP posts:
Ttcsecond · 06/04/2023 09:24

@Angelselevenx I’m doing ok thanks. The only things I’m doing differently is adding in coq-10, higher strength vitamin c and doing some more light exercise. I think my luteal phase is 14 days. I also read a bit about seed cycling so making a half arsed attempt at that.

There’s no harm in getting your hormones checked but I don’t think 11 days is too short. Vitamin C is meant to be very good at supporting luteal phase so that’s why I’ve upped mine this month.

How are you doing? Xx
