@TheBirdintheCave that looks like a frustrating chart, but it could just be a loopy cycle - I ovulated on CD24 on the cycle I conceived DD2!

Feeling a bit down today, it was exactly a year ago that I learned I was pregnant (and had 4 days to get used to the idea before I started bleeding, but then had the head fuck of positive tests for a further 3 weeks).

I went a bit crazy last week and used up all my pregnancy tests silly early, even though I'm only just 10dpo today! I've got some more tests coming tomorrow, even though I'm 99% certain I'm out...DTD 24 hours after the positive OPK just isn't going to cut it really, is it?! Maybe once I can get get past this next few days I'll start feeling a bit better....

TheBirdintheCave · 05/03/2023 14:19

@bringmearainbow @bunnykins123 It does seem to be EWCM, it's clear and stretches without breaking. There's nowhere near the amount I got at CD10 though.

Maybe Premom was right and I am in the second half of the luteal phase? 🤷🏻‍♀️ It reckons I'm 6dpo.

@TheBirdintheCave that's really confusing. When you say EWCM is it like the clear, actual egg white stuff or cloudy but has a bit of stretch? I sometimes found I had the latter in the 2nd stage and this (I read up on it before) is because there is a estrogen surge in the 2nd phase of your luteal phase.

bringmearainbow · 05/03/2023 09:19

@TheBirdintheCave I think you have sore boobs is a good sign and this would be quite late for you to ovulate wouldn't it? How are you sleeping? Last month at about 4dpo I got really watery but with a slight creamy twinge to it if it wasn't for the creamy bit I would have said it was fertile cm. I got that for a couple of days. Is it proper stretchy eggy stuff you're getting?

TheBirdintheCave · 05/03/2023 09:02

@bringmearainbow Just sore boobs which is normally a good indicator that I've ovulated. I am utterly baffled 🙄

@TheBirdintheCave 😂 oh bloody hell 🙈 though saying that I sometimes get random dips in my LP but not ewcm 🤔 it's very strange. Are you having normal LP symptoms?

TheBirdintheCave · 05/03/2023 08:38

I am 100% broken 😂 EWCM this morning and another temp drop.

@bunnykins123 he's staying firmly in there until it's no longer possible 😂

@TheBirdintheCave how's your temp today?

MrsJGrealish · 04/03/2023 22:40

@curliegirlie how are you holding up lovely ? Xx

bunnykins123 · 04/03/2023 20:34

@TheBirdintheCave you're lucky! Mine started climbing out of her cot at 2 years, she's now in with us every night. I don't know how people keep their kids in their own beds at night! She's just fallen asleep next to me in our bed 🤦‍♀️

@bringmearainbow keep him in the cage!!!

TheBirdintheCave · 04/03/2023 20:30

bringmearainbow · 04/03/2023 20:07

@TheBirdintheCave that's awesome I'm not letting mine out his cage anytime soon 😂

Mine is a giant (his dad is 6'5") and decided that he was going to just climb out of the cot if he wasn't sleepy so he kind of forced our hand 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

MrsJGrealish · 04/03/2023 20:07

@TheBirdintheCave DD was the worst tbf she loved the cot. DS2 I lay on the floor beside him till he fell asleep. DS1 (poor child) learned to settle himself early on.

bringmearainbow · 04/03/2023 20:06

My first mc was due 16th dec I'd take anything 😂 no way I'm skipping any cycles

MrsJGrealish · 04/03/2023 20:04

@TheBirdintheCave 🙌🙌 that's an achievement girl! Mine NEVER got into the toddler bed

TheBirdintheCave · 04/03/2023 20:03

You guys, I put my son down to sleep in his big boy toddler bed for the first time tonight. We were expecting a lot of up and down but he just... fell asleep 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I'm not sure what to do with myself now 🤔 What a super star 🥰

MrsJGrealish · 04/03/2023 20:01

😂😂 'shut up MrsGrealish' 😘 I've had a day of it if that's any excuse 🙈

bunnykins123 · 04/03/2023 19:34

With my first MMC, I was due on NYE. I always thought it would be super fun to have a baby then - the kid would have the best birthdays as everyone would be out celebrating with them! Never had any issues about a Dec baby myself, I'd take anything!

FfoxRedN · 04/03/2023 19:31

I did see that too, I don't know why people pick December in general, however for other personal reasons I want to avoid Jan/Feb. It does make it really hard TTC though, because on the one hand I think 'just keep going' and on the other if they were born that time I know my stress levels would soar and I'd be thinking 'I should have just avoided these two months'. Never got the Christmas thing though but each to their own. I just wouldn't post about it as if I was casting opinion that would influence my choice 😣 xx

Happinessandrainbows · 04/03/2023 19:30

@MrsJGrealish 😂😂😂😂😂
@LuckyMoonstone definitely

MrsJGrealish · 04/03/2023 19:28

@Happinessandrainbows 🤣🤣 there's me trying to be discreet..mortified 🙈 may have to delete mumsnet now

LuckyMoonstone · 04/03/2023 19:24

I saw that thread too! DS birthday is 16th December and it never bothered me that I would have a December baby. His birthdays will always be Christmassy and fun 😊 if some people realised how long it can actually take to fall pregnant, they wouldn’t be so fussy about skipping months!

Happinessandrainbows · 04/03/2023 19:22

MrsJGrealish · 04/03/2023 18:46

This is gonna seem like an odd thing to obsess about but why do people not want December babies? My first mc was due dec and I was ecstatic..literally best Christmas present ever (well until it wasn't) 🥲

You must've seen the same thread I did! I was wondering too. A baby is a baby, doesn't matter when they're born ❤️

MrsJGrealish · 04/03/2023 19:10

@TheBirdintheCave yea probably 🤔One of mine was born in a July heatwave and it was horrendous. Trying to keep him cool but he wanted held close. He was very unsettled 😕 but right enough if it was July or nothing it would be July again 😅. Well not now but July past. Apologies bit of a ramble there but I know what I mean 😂

I guess no one wants to be in labour on Christmas day? 🤔 It's something I think I thought about at the start of trying for G but I definitely do not care now. I just want a baby 😂
