thanks ladies I’m glad it’s not just us this has happened to! Tried again this evening with the sort yourself out then come to me at the last moment….no success. So trying to cling to hope that Thursday night and Friday morning might have been enough. If it isn’t then ivf and this problem can be avoided. Trying to stay as positive as I can with it!

@Alexis7890 hun, you're not alone. We had the exact same issue. He would be fine and it was like he knew my peak and then nothing. I knew it wasn't me but it was the pressure for sure. I started in the summer combining dtd and syringe. Worked for us. Got syringe off Amazon. I thought DH would be so anti this method but I honestly felt him breathe a sigh of relief when I asked him if he was ok with it!

@FfoxRedN @bringmearainbow @LuckyMoonstone i don’t think I’d know where to get a syringe from?! He’s in such a mood about it we’ve barely spoken all day so I assume we’re done this cycle now anyway…..ivf here we come in the summer!

@emmatcc1 if you usually O around CD14 you could just be gearing up for it with the EWCM I had quite a few days of it last cycle before ovulation happened helps gets those swimmers in place

@FfoxRedN My cycles are usually the perfect cd14 ovulation and cd 29 af. I'm confused as I got ewcm and open cervix yesterday which I get before ovulation. I don't test and there wasn't an ovulation dip in my bbt chart. I hope it's nothing and my ovulation will be at a usual time.

Hi, I imagine it all depends on the length of your cycles. If they're around 21-22 days long it's entirely possible you could be ovulating. You'd need to test and temp to know for sure 🙂. Your period arrives about 14 days after ovulation.

Hi I was wondering when you usually ovulate and if any were successful with an early ovulation. I'm currently cd 8 and might be ovulating already.

@Alexis7890 I was going to say cup & syringe too! We did it but also mixed with normal DTD so I can’t say if it would work alone

@Alexis7890 yeah I know how you feel and totally empathise. They have one job...a job which is all too easy every other time they need to do it 😣.
It's hard to not let it get to you, just know you're not alone and it's perfectly normal to feel the way you are feeling.
There's also been talk here of a cup and syringe method 😬. Could be Plan C?!

@FfoxRedN we tried the porn thing this morning as it worked back in December, but this time he came back good to go then basically as soon as he approached me….flop. Trying to not take it personally and trying to stay calm but it’s tricky! December and now are basically the only chances we’ve had to try, and this is it before ivf so I know it’s pressure but it’s so hard to have sympathy and patience

@Alexis7890 I feel for you hun, my DH has the same issue, and somehow always on the most important day despite not mentioning it. I flipped when he said 'it's easy for you' 😤. I haven't been through what you have either with the injections etc. I don't know if this will help, but we have resorted to him going and watching porn in a different room and then coming back at the pivotal moment. I know it's not me, it's the pressure that it matters so he has to really concentrate 🫣. I hope you manage to get some more in but if not you've at least covered -1 and -2 xxx

Patience being tested to the max now….triggered yesterday morning so ovulation at 9pm this evening. Dtd Thursday evening and Friday morning….tried a couple of times since and his performance anxiety is back….things get going then and he’s all good then as soon as it comes to actually doing it….it all fades away. He’s beating himself up which won’t help, but I’m really struggling to not let my emotions show!! This is our final ovulation attempt before ivf and I’ve gone through so many failed cycles and injections etc this happened the one other time we were able to trigger in December and thought he was over it. ahhh sorry I just needed to get it out

@TheBirdintheCave I've had many an indent believe me and the 2nd test was only 12 hours later.. maybe wishful thinking maybe not 🤞❤️

My levels have taken a few extra days to disappear but back to nothing now xx

@FfoxRedN tbf when we conceived DS we only Dtd on -5, -2 and -1 so I know it can work not doing all the time you just totally get in your head don't you 🙄 I'll be happy as long as we get a few days in before which will be fine

@bringmearainbow i triggered this morning so I know I will ovulate Saturday around 9pm, I’m already panicking that we aren’t dtd enough, should have been dtd more in the run up to the trigger but we didn’t start until yesterday. Every time we have dtd in the run up to seeing the consultant to see if we can trigger it’s failed and not been able to trigger and so I got in my head if we didn’t then I’d be able to trigger and we did but now I’m like ahhh should have dtd Wednesday! So on consultant advice once yesterday, once or twice today, once or twice tomorrow and maybe sunday morning

@bringmearainbow to be fair so long as you start by Monday then you'll be fine! Better when there's not so much pressure to start though. I know what you mean though mine came so early and we totally hadn't done enough in the build up, or so I thought anyway! Xx

@TheBirdintheCave 🤣🤣 I know I shocked myself I was super busy last night it just slipped my mind prob helped that I knew it isn't really time yet! Tbh if that's when you have to pay for it it's always going to be a gamble no matter what cycle

@FfoxRedN I think it will be sat CD20. It would be nice if it was earlier but only if it ties in with when we've DTD 😂
