TWW - Testing Around 1st March

Creating a thread for anyone close to ovulation or already in the TWW! I find this journey easier speaking to people going through the same and on the same timeline. We are trying for baby #1 after a MC end of June/July, we was going with the flow but after nothing happening we decided to start tracking ovulation last month and this month i started tracking BBT as well. This month is also our first month using Preseed after I saw so many people say it helped!

I am currently 3DPO - Ovulation was on cycle day 15 confirmed by BBT.

@Babydustthisyear love that so much that’s such a good thing to do in the TWW 🙌🏼 Ive been avoiding my phone so I’m not googling or watching YouTube 😂 been cleaning loads, dog walks and spending time with family to keep my mind off it.

@Cegbee congratulations 🥺👶🏼✨

@Sb86 no testing for me yet, I’m 8DPO today so avoiding until at least 10DPO so I’ve got 2 days to go! Still absolutely no symptoms at all, yesterday I did feel like I had a bit of backache and strange ache I’m my tummy but I’m pretty sure it’s my body/mind playing tricks on me!

hope everyone else is doing ok 🫶🏼Still sending baby dust and love to everyone. we’ve got this BFP or not out time is coming ❤️✨

Congrats @Cegbee and @UnwieldyRhombus so exciting for you both! I’m 11 dpo today, so far 3 days of bfn’s, when will I learn? My temp went down yesterday, hoping it was a blip for implantation, we will see in the morning… I usually wake with insomnia and was just heading back to sleep when my 4 year old came in moaning of earache so now I’m wide awake again!

Cegbee · 25/02/2023 23:08

@UnwieldyRhombus thank you! I have had cramps too- 7/8DPO, sharper on 8DPO and on and off since but not severe. Also had weird thigh pain a few days ago that I thought was my hips but maybe was also cramps. After a year of negatives I'm hyper-aware of all symptoms.

Babydustthisyear · 25/02/2023 20:28

Your welcome ladies, it's a good distraction who doesn't love all of these things baby dust to us all of these things 🥰🥰🥰

UnwieldyRhombus · 25/02/2023 18:57

@Cegbee 🥳 Congratulations!

Really hoping the rest of you get your positives. Are you waiting until around the 1st still? I admire your patience! I'm not even sure what happened to my patience, it was there one minute and then just disintegrated 😂

I'm still getting faint positives so I think that's good. Super, super crampy though, sometimes it's more of a stabbing pain. I think that could really go either way. I don't remember (and didn't record!) much cramping in the early weeks of my last pregnancy, but every pregnancy is different so🤞for a sticky baby

SC0205 · 25/02/2023 18:25

@Sb86 I totally get this! I'm looking at when to test so that I haven't got a full day of work ahead. Love a London trip- come on for celebrations! Sending positive vibes your way x

SC0205 · 25/02/2023 18:23

@UnwieldyRhombus and @NWnature , very kind of you both-thank you! Assuming I've ovulated, it hit LH 1.52 and logged on premom. So 1DPO. @Babydustthisyear that's really lovely and I'm definitely going to use some of these to distract myself.

@Cegbee congrats! Well done for lasting until 13DPO what great news. Hopefully many of us follow suit 😊. When I thought I was in my TWW 2 weeks ago, I caved at 10DPO. Hard when you see others testing positive early on.

Cegbee · 25/02/2023 18:01

Well I lasted until 13DPO and realised I only have digital frers but it's a YES!

Sb86 · 25/02/2023 11:47

@Babydustthisyear that's a lovely idea, lord knows we could probably all do without obsessing couldn't we!

I'm 4dpo now so I'm going to have a go at it. Think I might test next Friday as me and my oh are going to London for the weekend so we can either celebrate down there or drown our sorrows!

How's everyone getting on? Anybody tested this morning?

Winniechess · 25/02/2023 09:51

This is so cute, I will definitely be trying this next month.

I am my own worst enemy and rather than watching a nice film at 8dpo I caved and tested and to no surprise BFN. I do have a feeling it’s just not going to be this month as I’m feeling very PMS rather than anything else.

Hope you’re all holding out okay!

Babydustthisyear · 25/02/2023 06:43

Hey everyone I came across this on the flo app what a great idea for the TWW. I find everyday it's something small to focus on. I have had to work backwards as only just found it.

Cegbee · 24/02/2023 21:39

Hi all, do you mind if I join?
I'm TTC a second child, I had a MC in March 2022 and have failed to conceive since, eventually sought fertility treatment and was found to have uterine adhesion which was surgically removed in Jan and this month we did IUI with letrozole in order for them to monitor my ovarian response to meds and also to check my lining thickness. My hcg blood test is on the 1st March but my period is due on Sunday, I'm currently 12DPO. Anyone waiting to test? I feel my resolved slipping by the day!

Babydustthisyear · 24/02/2023 18:03

@Amadeaa just one of the Colleen Hoover books, everyone is saying they are very good...something to get me through next few weeks...starting to symptom spot 🙈🙈

NWnature · 24/02/2023 15:46

Thanks @UnwieldyRhombus sending so many good vibes your way for a sticky one! I don’t remember having any symptoms with my first at all whatsoever. I didn’t even have any all first trimester really apart from feeling a bit hungover. But I also was so blasé about the whole thing whereas this time I am
obsessed!

@SC0205 sorry to hear about your MC. It is so confusing the impact on cycle but all sounds v positive that you are getting ovulation signs x

UnwieldyRhombus · 24/02/2023 15:12

@NWnature if it helps with regard to symptoms, I didn't have any concrete symptoms at 7DPO and even now at 10DPO and with positive tests I only have slightly sore boobs, a bit of nausea at times, cramps and EWCM (hoping it's a stick baby!). In my last pregnancy I only had sore boobs at 10DPO.

It's very, very early still - implantation might not even have occured at 7DPO. Assume that your period is coming by all means to avoid disappointment, but don't lose hope until it shows up either!

@SC0205 Sorry to hear about your miscarriage but great news that you're back to ovulating.

Good luck everyone. How are you feeling? xx

SC0205 · 24/02/2023 14:12

Hi Everyone,
Glad I've come across this group! Love Reading everyone's stories and nice to know others in similar situations.

Had a MC start of Feb 2023 at 6 weeks. During this pregnancy I had verrry sore boobs.
TTC and its my first cycle tracking ovulation, had an initial peak CD9, really struggled with the TTW, purchased some 6 day early first response tests. But took some of the trip hCG tests at what I thought was DPO10.
However i've peaked (higher) again today (CD23) In the same cycle- 2 weeks later than the 1st peak. So I'm feeling like I'm approaching my 2nd TWW this cycle! Trying my best to remain 'chilled', but grateful that it looks like i'm ovulating.
I'm usually a 28ish day cycle kinda gal but know this might take some time to adjust.

Anyone had any experience or know someone who managed to conceive 1st cycle after MC?

Sb86 · 24/02/2023 13:16

@TTCRainbow I'm feeling alright, I'm only 3dpo according to natural cycles so don't expect anything anyway although that never stops me reading up on things haha. Tww is the longest time ever isn't it!

NWnature · 24/02/2023 12:53

It will be nice to test with him there. At least Feb is a short month 😂 not long til the 1st- you got this!!!!

I am really really going to try and hold out til Friday next week unless I suddenly have mega symptoms next week. My husband is actually going skiing that day so won’t be around the whole weekend but I don’t want to disappoint him before he heads off so that’s why i am going to be ultra strict with myself to try and hold off!

TTCRainbow · 24/02/2023 11:35

@NWnature We are our own worst enemy aren't we! Thank you so much for your messages though, i feel better about this morning already.. not going to let it stress me out and just only come on here for any chats or advice. I'm going to try hold out and test 1st March with my OH. Every month so far I've started by 7/8DPO and been doing them secretly but i feel like i should be doing them with OH as he is so invested too. How about you, when are you thinking you might start? If only we had the will power to just wait for AF/missed AF.. i really wish i could xx

NWnature · 24/02/2023 11:11

Aw I’m not surprised that comment knocked you. These boards are a catch22 to be honest, so helpful and reassuring in some respects but also can totally knock you for six in others. I honestly think that whilst it is a science in some respects, there is still a massive amount of “luck”/ probability that feeds into conceiving so whilst it’s good to be informed about all the things that can increase your probability just remember there is nothing that is 100% successful so it’s not a failing if it doesn’t happen immediately. But like I say, I know all this too and it’s still so hard to actually take the emotion out of it (even more so after a MC)and think rationally. Sounds like you have definitely maximised your chances this month.
Do you think you’ll test sometime next week?

TTCRainbow · 24/02/2023 11:03

@NWnature We are in the same boat and overthinking and overanalysing everything! It's my first month ever temping so think that's why i keep comparing to others and asking for advice but a reply of i haven't even ovulated completely knocked me this morning.

I feel same as you, day behind on 6DPO but nothing other than how i would feel anyway. Thinking back to when i found out i was pregnant before MC i didn't know i was pregnant until i took test on the day my AF was due (i did have extremely sore big boobs and backache) but it was more a few days before AF and i thought it was just that coming. So i think its really normal for us to feel nothing yet.

Me and OH was both poorly last month over our window and i think we completely missed it too. This is why this month tracking better with BBT and using preseed and making sure we was DTD every other day even before positive OPK if it doesn't happen i feel like i will start to think something isn't right :( I know there is so much more to it than that though but meeeeh! xxx

OP posts:
NWnature · 24/02/2023 10:54

@TTCRainbow i don’t know anything about temping but it’s such a fine line between the positive side of taking control and doing things to inform yourself (like temping / OPK) and then the negative of becoming obsessed and focusing in on things which are a science in a sense but also are so prone to fluctuations and interpretations. I feel for you though, it’s an emotional rollercoaster honestly and there is no right or wrong way to get through the TWW. I personally am really trying not to overthink it too much, easier said than done!! I will keep everything crossed for you!

NWnature · 24/02/2023 10:50

Morning all. I’m 7DPO today and starting to feel the pressure. Have no symptoms whatsoever. Really would rather hold on to test not this weekend but next when AF is due because I don’t want to get my hopes up with any thing after CP. I don’t think it’s going to happen this month as I was really ill throughout my fertile window and I still don’t feel like I am 100% accurate with my OPK testing on my first month with the CB advanced sticks. I’m worried because I think I did the first one not in the morning so diluted wee and that is what it sets your LH base from and I had so long of flashing from then , like 7 or 8 days I think before smiley face static on CD17. I dunno, I am overthinking and overanalysing it all.

How is everyone feeling? Has anyone got any symptoms?
