@allgoodthings84 awwww congratulations 🎉🩷 such fabulous news. Glad you’re both doing well. What did you end up calling her, what was her weight. How exciting ….

@NatGee glad you’re doing well too, im
so happy things are resolving with baby that’s such a relief. How many weeks are you now?

@allgoodthings84 oh my massive congratulations!! how are you feeling? Are you still in hospital? crazy how we were all chatting away, trying to get pregnant and now the first of our babies has arrived :D I am so glad for you, that its all gone almost to plan @NSx what great timing huh, checking in on us just as one of us is having their baby !
I am doing fine ladies, baby's bowel has cleared up of echogenicity which im thrilled about but im not loving the care ive been receiving: I was told to have extra scans but I haven't got any consultant appointments booked? its something i need to write to the department and "highlight" that im falling through the cracks. I have a little swelling on my feet and my tummy is really big but other than that, all good

@HoneyPea have you had more scans? hows baby measuring? to be honest, the bigger baby grows the less accurate the scans become. i had a private one at 22 weeks and they put + or - 600 g next to the weight 😮thats like loads.
@NSx how are your cats? and the nursery, hows that coming along?

allgoodthings84 · 21/08/2023 21:18

@NSx WAS last in line that meant

allgoodthings84 · 21/08/2023 21:17

@NSx she’s here! Planned c section turned to emergency c section! I was here this morning at 7am for my planned c section and wasn’t last in line but she had other ideas and I started contracting at around 8.30am and it was straight to 5 mins apart and strong so I got bumped to first and went straight in as she wasn’t moving and turns out she was stuck. I won’t go into details here as it could be triggering but we are both doing great 😊

NSx · 21/08/2023 10:57

@HoneyPea I’m so sorry I didn’t see this message. Sorry for the late reply. How are you doing ?

@NatGee @allgoodthings84 how are you both? x

@NSx How are you doing?
Not feeling ready at all. Cleaned out my sons old room and changed the toddler bed back to a cot today. Got lots of things out of the loft so now need to clean and wash things like the highchair, play mats etc. Oh and probably need to think about packing the hospital bag soon!

Been having growth scans every 4 weeks as DS was below 10th percentile when he was born. Had a big wobble at the last scan as babies head was measuring less than 1percentile so they have referred us to the same consultant we had when we had our TFMR for baby girl last year. But then they looked at DS birth info and apparently his head was on the same percentile and he's fine.

NSx · 04/08/2023 09:14

@HoneyPea good morning 🤍 …

ahhh that’s so exciting that it’s so soon but also so nerve wracking I bet, how are u feeling?
have you been having lots of growth scans then? Hopefully all is ok 🤞💙 …

Yes Oscar is a cutie, I have another girl cat Gigi, and I don’t know how they will take to a baby 😂😂 let’s see ….

Also finding it soooooooo hard to get comfy at night and once I wake up am really struggling to get back to sleep. Been awake since 4 hence the early post 🙈

HoneyPea · 04/08/2023 05:51

Hi all 😊
Things are starting to feel real here at nearly 35wks. Unfortunately little man isn't putting on enough weight so have another growth scan in 10days and if he still hasn't put on enough weight again he will be coming out at 37weeks 😳 Only just starting to get things sorted so not feeling ready at all but still have everything from DS so hopefully won't need too much!
@allgoodthings84 We could end up around the same time.
@NSx How cute is Oscar 😍
@NatGee Im sure a few days babymoon in Sept would be lovely.

NSx · 03/08/2023 19:05

@NatGee hi 🤍 oh I’m 28w now so just ahead of you … it is starting to feel real isn’t it 😄
Nooooo 😂😂😂😂 nursery is still under way…. Will be hopefully all up and sorted in the next few weeks; but furniture is still in my garage as I’m having some panelling put onto the walls. Also having a neutral palette due to not knowing the sex 😂 …. I would love to see yours if it’s ready 🤍
yes I got my EGG the other week and my cat Oscar was very curious.. see attached photo.

I can’t wait to go on holiday but a bit like your husband I’m dreading leaving my 2 fur babies so I can totally relate 😂😂😂
@allgoodthings84 not long now 🥰🩷 are you nervous/excited to meet your girl? I can’t believe how fast that has come.

OP posts:
allgoodthings84 · 03/08/2023 17:11

Hi all. I’m all good. Nearing the end now. I have 2 weeks 4 days until my c section date 😮 just got to put the next to me bed put together then everything is ready apart from my head 😂

how is everyone feeling?

NatGee · 03/08/2023 16:54

@NSx hey! nice to hear from you. how are you doing? All OK here, 26 weeks on Saturday, where's time going
Starting to get excited now about baby's arrival - we chose not to find out the gender so are decorating the nursery in a very neutral palette. Sorting out through baby clothes too and just getting organised for their arrival generally
Have you got your egg pram yet? Is your nursery all done now, since you got your bits a while back now? Would love to see it :) Looking forward to your babymoon? We may go somewhere in September just for a couple of days. I want it to be just my DH and I but he dreads to part with the dog.... so we'll see how that goes !

NSx · 03/08/2023 15:35

Hi ladies 🤍 how are u all? @HoneyPea @NatGee @allgoodthings84

OP posts:
NSx · 28/06/2023 18:18

@NatGee my pram doesn’t come until end of July start of August ✨🤎 so need to wait but I guess I’m in no rush. My babies bedroom furniture comes on Wednesday next week which I’m excited about. We have our chico next to me, so ideally I just want to get a Moses basket and that’s all the big things bought. We have painted the nursery but want to add some panelling and decorate it a bit once we have the furniture up. We went and bought some neutral baby clothes out of next today which was nice ❣️… it’s all starting to feel a bit more real now.
All those extra scans will be lovely, I’m done with my scans now unless I get a private one 😂which we haven’t decided about yet.
Yes we’re going on holiday to Marrakech for a week end of August, I’ve already booked in with my midwife a few days before to get a fit2fly cert as I will be 31weeks by then. I can’t wait 😜 …
Are you still thinking of going ?

OP posts:
allgoodthings84 · 28/06/2023 14:57

@NatGee I hope everything will be fine 💕

I’m bloody exhausted as can’t sleep at night and get horrendous heartburn and baby is still up high so get breathless and uncomfortable all the time. The bump just feels so heavy as I’m only 5ft with a small frame and when I get too hot I feel like I’m going to faint if I don’t sit down right away. Am I selling third trimester? 😂. Second trimester was amazing I miss how I felt then. I really wish I had got everything sorted back then.

I don’t have a nursery for baby until we move next year so everything needs to fit into my bedroom which is the issue 🤦🏻‍♀️. I know how it will work now though just need to get it all sorted. I’m only in a 2 bedroom house at the moment and my 8 year old daughter is in the second bedroom and there’s not enough room in there for a cot as well as everything that’s already in there.

No holiday here. My daughter is at school and when she finishes for summer (in just over 2 weeks!) I’ll be 34 weeks and wanting to mostly sit down 😂. Would love a holiday abroad before baby comes but that definitely won’t happen.

NatGee · 28/06/2023 14:22

@NSx yeah we got it already, itll be one of two pricey purchases. that and a 7-in-1 cot which should grow with the baby so a good investment. The rest I am looking to get cheaply, either second hand or free.
Thanks for the support @NSx @HoneyPea I booked a private scan for next Thursday as id like to actually get a measure of blood flow into the placenta before we go on holiday. I will be having scans on the NHS every month from now on too, the next one will be in august.

I suppose you are all now ready to get buying and decorating your nurseries now that we're all past the 20 week mark. This is where it begins getting exciting. I am so full of energy, just want to clean the house and get things ready. Also really wanted to have gone on a holiday abroad now in June but it didnt happen. Is any of you planning a holiday before baby comes?
@allgoodthings84 how are you feeling since youre way ahead of me. Any tiredness yet?

HoneyPea · 27/06/2023 13:48

@NatGee Think I'm leaning towards the end of 38wks if possible. No idea why DS was small but I'm way under 5foot so it's not surprising really!!! Scans every 4wks on growth restriction pathway because of DS.
Don't know much about the echogenicity in the bowel but hoping everything turns out well for you 😘

A

NSx · 27/06/2023 08:12

@NatGee well thats it, I liked the feather but it was too light and unpractical and not really ideal for a boy. The mink by far was my favourite choice and thank goodness my OH was happy to go with whatever I chose 😂🤎 … the quartz is lovely 😍 I saw some good deals online for it, if you haven’t purchased already.
Honestly I know it’s easier said than done, as human beings we tend to worry a lot, but just wait and see how it all pans out, it may be something absolutely minimal in the end & you don’t want to get yourself all stressed and worked up 🤍 … when’s your next appt?

OP posts:
NatGee · 26/06/2023 23:50

@NSx mink is a lovely colour, great choice. And will go with either a boy or girl but im sure you gave that very careful thought! Im v vanilla so went with the quartz :). Lots of lovely colours but my husband wouldnt go for anything else sadly! Had to be that or black.... why are men so boring?

Thanks for the stats, v reassuring 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

NSx · 26/06/2023 15:26

@allgoodthings84 😂😂😂 yes I have a feeling it’s a stubborn little girl but could be wrong - time will tell 🩷🩵

OP posts:
NSx · 26/06/2023 15:20

@NatGee Lovely to hear from you 🤍✨ glad things are going well. With regards to The echogenic bowel I had to read up to see what it was. I know it can be worrying but I’ve read good outcomes of upto 90% of babies being absolutely fine so stay hopeful & I hope it all resolves itself!
I also didn’t know about uterine arterial resistance 😅 feel like every day is a school day!
I am glad you’re feeling better ❣️ I too am feeling much better, I’m almost 23 weeks, so just a couple weeks before you 🩵
I agree that it’s one of life’s little surprises that are left, do you have an inkling if it’s a girl or boy ??
what colour did u go for in the Egg? I think I mentioned I went for the Mink one, love them! X

OP posts:
NatGee · 26/06/2023 14:56

Hello hello ladies sorry ive been quiet on here so many updates from you all how great!

@NSx how exciting to now want to find out the gender. in an age where nothing is left as a surprise, its nice to keep a shroud of mystery on something !

@allgoodthings84 hope you have a nice pregnancy pillow keeping you less uncomfortable than you would be otherwise. Fingers crossed baby doesnt come before your csection, i hate it when things dont go to plan. Have your urine results come back yet?

@HoneyPea have you decided when you want your csection ? its nice to know when your baby will be here, really lets you plan. Did you ever find out why your ds was on the 6th percentile? do you have to have extra scans now?

So I am 21 weeks now with a baby whose sex we decided not to find out. Theyre a wriggly little thing and even saw them sucking their thumb!
I have been told I need to have a GD glucose test because my mother had diabetes, albeit type 2 (they don't care) and i'm not looking forward to that at all. Had a uti early in the pregnancy and had to take antibiotics for five days. Also caught a couple of colds in my first trimester which were not fun either but thank god I had no temperature, i just felt poorly

In my 20 week scan last week the sonographer picked up echogenicity in the bowel of the baby so I was referred to a consultant and had a follow up scan two days later. The baby's tummy didn't look as bad as in the first scan but they want to monitor me and placed me under consultant care. They are doing further screening and bloods were submitted for for TORC, cystic fibrosis and the NHS' NIPT (combined test at 12 weeks showed low probability of anomalies)

All other markers and measurements are normal, but they got worried about this echogenic bowel in the baby. I am feeling positive but also have it in mind that things may not go to plan and accepting that in my heart.

The consultant I saw also measured my uterine arterial resistance with a doppler and said there was high resistance and told me to take aspirin for it. I didnt even know this was something they did and was surprised (so was she) because I dont have high blood pressure so again, another thing to worry about !

Apart from that all is going well, bump is growing and I feel great, no swelling, nausea, tiredness, or excessive hunger/thirst. Not started on the nursery yet but ive been getting a few free/cheap things online. Ah @NSx I was inspired by your choice of a pram and went and got an Egg system too, they look great dont they?

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2023 18:29

@NSx if baby doesn’t play ball now trust me it gets worse later on in pregnancy 😂. I agree if your baby is being a diva then probably a girl 😂 you’ve done well not to find out! I had to know with both mine.

NSx · 24/06/2023 12:37

@allgoodthings84 8 weeks is not long at all. That will fly in 🥰 …
yea I agree it’s not a solid theory at all, but it’s fun to guess 😂. I’m leaning towards a girl, my partner thinks boy. We shall see come October.
Don’t worry, my baby is stubborn too and never wants to play ball at any of my scans 😂😅 …

@HoneyPea so you are also not too far behind @allgoodthings84 then. How exciting!! you still have a while to make the last decisions; so don’t worry 🤍
