Out... AF Arrived today. Looking for next cycle buddy

Hi all, AF graced me with her presence this morning... after what I thought were some promising cramps/light bleeding over the weekend. (It was just my mind playing tricks on me but so glad I waited it out, I think a negative test might have upset me a little) Made a note of all my symptoms, so I know what to expect next month, in case it's a no again.

We will be going again for cycle 2 in around 2 weeks time if anyone is in the same boat and is looking for support?

We haven't told many people we've started trying for our 1st baby, so I'm desperate to chat with someone else going through it.

Also; the name I had in mind all throughout the pregnancy, even right up to the minute before they came out - we called them a different name! We took a few days after the birth to decide, but the minute that came out screaming, I just thought they didn’t suit it!! Can’t imagine them being called the name I originally had planned now!!

I know how difficult it is, I’ve had 4 miscarriages, an ectopic, but thankfully 1 healthy baby (so far, only 18m!!). My 4 miscarriages were before the child, and had so many friends who got pregnant, had their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd whilst I was still trying. It’s so tough. If your name is your birth year you have loads of time!! And also, in the grand scheme of things, the name is irrelevant. They’ll be your child and whatever name you decide will be perfect, even if it wasn’t the one you wanted. They’ll probably get a crap nickname at school and will be know by this forever (half of my friends have had this - including me!!).

Thanks @Kranke this is great advice and I'm definitely swaying towards not saying anything, I'm not the kind of person to confront stuff like that really. There were a few names in the mix and also agree there's possibly more that she didn't let on to... praying that's the case anyway. Thank you again x

How are the rest of you doing? I went to a baby shower this weekend for one of my best friends... was such a lovely day! But need some advice... she told me some name ideas for their baby and one of them is the (and only) name on our list 🥲 I know it sounds silly... but would you guys tell your friend (even though she is due soon and I don't even know if I'm pregnant yet this cycle) I don't want to be difficult at all...but it broke my heart a bit! X

I wouldn’t tell her. It would put her in an awkward position. I know it’s difficult for you, but she’s happy and let her stay in the moment. I always ask myself what would I do if I was in the other person’s position? If she asked you not to name your child a name because she wanted it for her unborn child, would you concede? And I know she’s given a few names, but that’s what I did when people asked me and pretended I didn’t know which I preferred as didn’t want to be swayed - but I only had one in mind!! Also, it sounds quite a popular name if it can be used for girls and boys, so probably wouldn’t matter if it was the same.

@flowerlover1990 hmm that is a tricky one, as we too have some names we love and would be so sad if someone else used them first. How many names were on her list and did it seem like your name was a favourite?

I am feeling okay just bored of the TWW, just feel like it's not my month but probs testing on Tuesday at 12dpo xx

I got a bfn this morn at 9dpo :( dunno why I did a test just got tempted! Going to wait until Monday or Tues to try again. Hope everyone having a good weekend xx

@Lexie365 yep I can definitely see a shadow of a line too 😬😍 Crossing everything for you!! Keep us updated. I'm 4dpo today so still a way to go for me yet - hate the exhaustion that comes after ovulation, I could sleep for days!!

@Lexie365 ooh yeah I can definitely see a shadow of a line, has it got colour to it or grey? As you say hard to see through a picture but looks like a potential, definitely try another in a day or two :) x

Hi everyone, sorry i h been on here since the start of the thread. So according to my app I'm 9dpo today, I took a frer last night and thought I could see the faintest shadow.. took another one this morning and can definitely see a vvfl, can anyone else see it??

Hello - can I join? Cycle 7 ttc1 here, just got my positive ovulation test on cb digi and we’ve sushied for 6 days in a row! 12 dpo is Mother’s Day 🥴 so hoping for no dreaded spotting! (Me and DH call sex sushi between us lol) how is everyone feeling? The tww draaaags

@flowerlover1990 mine vary depending on when I ovulate. I ovulate CD14-17 but always have a 14 day luteal phase, so this month mine should be 28! I think some peoples BBTs are a bit crazy as there are so many things that can influence it. Yess will keep you updated, hope yours doesn't go to slow either! X

I'm on 5dpo so nothing to report really. Just waiting to see if my dreaded spotting turns up usually around 8dpo as that will make me think I'm out :/

Wooo 🥳 My cycles are normally between 30-32 days. What about you? Definitely ovulated later than I thought I did... but just relieved it happened eventually. Been tracking bbt as well, but my temps seem to be a bit all over the place!
Eeeek so you're 4 days ahead of me now... keep me posted please! Wishing you so much luck this cycle 🤞🏻

Finally got my peak day (yesterday CD20 for me) ovulation today 💃🏼 Feeling hopeful. How's everyone else getting on?

@flowerlover1990 Tests only after 3 miscarriages in a row. So I am basically treated as if last year was my first pregnancy/loss.
