I don't know why we do this to ourselves and test so early (absolutely me included here so no judgement! šŸ˜…šŸ™ˆ) But statistically the average time for implantation isn't until 8/9 dpo... I know it can be earlier for some, and later for others, buttt... Going off that, of course we are going to get bfns at this early stage as we might not even be pregnant yet... I wish I could take my own advice on this, but, it's true, anything before your missed period is technically early to test! x

cavebaby · 17/02/2023 08:10

@Mummy1502 8dpo is still incredibly early and only a small percentage of pregnant women will test positive at that point. And positive tests even earlier than that at 6/7dpo are pretty much impossible. I definitely don't think you can rule anything out at this early point.

I'm only 3dpo so still a long wait ahead!

SnookyPook · 17/02/2023 08:10

Ignorance continues to be bliss here! 11dpo and not tested yet. Compared with my first pregnancy I'm not feeling the same so doubting it a bit, although I know every pregnancy can be different and I did have a day of cramping 8dpo. We'll see if AF shows or not.

@Mummy1502 @Lav1n not everyone gets early positives. I wouldn't rule yourselves out until AF appears šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Lav1n · 17/02/2023 07:49

I’m due on Monday, took a test this morning BFN. I have sore boobs, headaches and all last week incredibly sensitive nipples (apologies for the TMI). I wake up every morning feeling rubbish and I haven’t had any alcohol since new year. I really thought the test this morning would be positive.

Mummy1502 · 17/02/2023 07:43

Done another this morning with fmu, still white, I think I’m out, due on in 4 days, if my ovulation test was right then I ovulated 8 days ago x

@HannahLouD its so frustrating isn’t it, I just feel like can I really do this, lol we have 4 beautiful healthy children already but it doesn’t stop the heartbreak x

I feel your pain... I don't wanna see another stark white test 😩 (so maybe I should just stop being such a poas addict and wait for AF to arrive...
I have a DD (nearly 5) from a long-term "friends with benefits" situation šŸ™„ but me and my now partner would love a child together and my DD would love a sibling! I know it's extremely lucky to have her and she is absolutely amazing, but doesn't stop the want of another!

SnookyPook · 17/02/2023 00:18

@greeny506 oh bless you! Hope you're not too disappointed. Hugs!

greeny506 · 16/02/2023 22:16

I’m so silly- OH moved stuff aorund in the bathroom draw and this was an ovulation stick 🤣 oh well!

greeny506 · 16/02/2023 18:16

Just took an cheap PT - super surprised as it’s positive šŸ™ˆ I literally had no idea about my cycle length so this is so odd!

Stupidly did a frer when I got home knowing I’d drank lots of water all day, not even a smidge of a line so thinking the clearblue was yet again a false positive, so disheartened, hats off to those of you who have been trying for years I just don’t think I can mentally put myself through it, I know there’s still time I’m due on in 5 days so thought a frer would at least show a faint line by now x

I know everyone says it and it never makes me feel any better (and I should absolutely take my own advice right now and know full well I won't šŸ˜…šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø) but... It is still early and there is defo still time for you to get your bfp!
Got my fingers crossed for you and everyone!! šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤ž
Only 7dpo here and driving myself mad... I already know when I test in a few days it'll be stark white again. I just can't imagine it actually ever being a bfp šŸ™„ x

@VictoriaBlossom sounds positive! Congratulations, we’ve been away for our daughters birthday but I have a frer at home, will test in the morning x

also only 10dpo not due on until Sunday and never get a positive result properly until 6 weeks pregnant with previous pregnancies. I think it’s because my cycles so short so that when I miss my period it doesn’t show on a test for a while after

Holly03 · 16/02/2023 11:29

Has anyone used those cheap tests as I made the mistake of using them and it was showing two lines whilst loads. A faint white line whilst it was loading but you can’t see it when it’s dried out fully. Apologise for the dusty windows currently tackling a bad damp problem in rented accommodation and it’s bringing half of the paint down too

Only 7dpo and itching to test šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚
No symptoms since very sore nipples between 1-3 dpo and some on and off creamy cm.

Does anyone have any experience with testing with the cheapie easy@home strips? I use them for opk and they seem to be really good but not sure about the pregnancy test strips? I've got 20 that came with my opks and wondering when to start testing with them/when they would be likely to show a bfp if it were to be my month... I know frers are much more reliable and you can test earlier with them, but with my poas addiction, I can't afford to use them all the time šŸ˜‚

Thanks everyone and good luck to all still waiting and congrats again to those who have got their bfps! 😊x

SnookyPook · 16/02/2023 09:53

@VictoriaBlossom ah lovely! So nice to hear! 🄰

VictoriaBlossom · 16/02/2023 09:42

My lines are getting darker šŸ˜ but zero symptoms. Sleeping well, no mental dreams, little bit peaky now and then but that's literally it.
Sending baby dust to all you lovely girls who have held out and not peed on a stick!!! Xxx

SnookyPook · 16/02/2023 08:46

@flightless55 exactly same here! Due on Sun/Mon so just trying to keep busy! However, also on hyper alert to any possible symptoms. šŸ˜¬šŸ™„

flightless55 · 16/02/2023 07:41

Still symptom spotting like crazy!
I'm not taking a test till Monday morning so just a waiting game

Mummy1502 · 16/02/2023 06:16

Hi šŸ‘‹šŸ¼ I hope no one minds me jumping on.
I currently 2dpo TTC #1 for 3 years. I have pcos and was talking letrozole but took a couple of months break from it recently. Had a CP last month and now trying to stay sane in this TWW hoping for a sticky bean this time.
congrats to those with BFPs and hoping this thread will be full soon!
Baby dust to all xx

SnookyPook · 15/02/2023 18:46

@greeny506 hi and welcome! Super positive opk sounds positive! Did you manage to DTD around then? How many dpo would you be if it was right?

we did that Friday night but by the time I took one Saturday lunchtime it had faded and then I was working a long day Sunday so it didn’t really happen again šŸ™ˆ not very hopeful this month! I have been on the pill since my 2nd baby was 8m so no idea really about cycle length tho when I conceived my 2nd, I remember I ovulated late around day 19/20!

Lav1n · 15/02/2023 19:02

Second month TTC with baby number one. Struggling with the waiting time and being hyper aware of every twinge in my body.
My sense of taste seems different, even tea has a strange taste, has this happened to anyone else?
