@Ivory88 we started trying as soon as bleeding stopped but I still had faint positives until my next period arrived 4 weeks later! I started doing ovulation tests but there was no point really because they were all just mega high! I don’t think I ovulated before my period xx

Hey ladies, sorry to hear about your recent miscarriage’s. You don’t have to wait to have a period to TTC but they recommend it for a dating point of view. After my first I tried as soon as I stopped bleeding, still got my period but conceived the next cycle, after my last one I left it 2 cycles to begin again as I couldn’t really cope.
the need to get pregnant straight away I totally understand!
Would recommend waiting to you have a negative test tho and then begin, just so there’s no confusion if you were to get pregnant quickly x

@Dinosaur39 thank you. That’s good to know. I thought most people ovulated 2 weeks after the miscarriage but my pregnancy test is still showing a strong positive! Silly que - but whilst I’m showing as pregnant will I not ovulate?

Just take some time to process what’s happened there’s no rush for anything.

@Ivory88 There’s no point doing the ovulation sticks until you have a negative pregnancy test as you will be false positives on the OPK test.
I think just try and wait until you have your negative result on the pregnancy and ‘apparently’ it’s two weeks from then and first period is 4/6 weeks.
I would just do one every other day and see if it starts rising that’s where I’m at now but not had any rise as of yet.

When did everyone start TTC again? We both want to start as soon as we can but don’t want to risk infection. I have pretty much stopped bleeding, but still spotting. I am also still testing positive.

I also want to do the ovulation tests to see when I start ovulating, but not sure when to start. I know a lot of people say wait till your first period comes, but we are keen to start asap.

Hope it is OK for me to join. I had a miscarriage last week, still bleeding and obviously not ttc quite yet but I'm also obsessively thinking about when I can get pregnant again. I'll follow my doctor's advice and wait for a period to happen then start trying after that.
So not much to say at the moment, just processing my grief and sadness. But seeing other people's stories of trying and falling pregnant after miscarriage is really helpful. Good luck to all of you and sorry for your losses.

Ah well I’m hoping for the best for you ☺️ and at a minimum hopefully the results will give you some answers and reassurance about what your body is doing.

Yes definitely, you can easily get swept away with everyone else’s stories but ultimately it’s just time. I didn’t have one of those MC then clear and negative 2 weeks later so I just need to be accepting of the fact it will take a little longer.

It's the first time I've taken a FRER test but the line was really dark. I'm still waiting for my results to come through today but I'm not holding out much hope. Even if the HCG level has gone up the bleed I had less than 2 weeks ago was so big I can't imagine it will be good news overall.

I know what you mean about realisation of needing time to heal. The stories of people becoming pregnant straight after MC didn't help me either.

I hope you get your BFP soon but do make sure you take care of yourself so your body and mind are in the best position to grow a baby.

No I don’t think any more blood tests nurse just said do another pregnancy test next week and I’ve done a few since that are negative just strange how a couple of them was picking up that 6 HCG for some reason.

If you’ve had a period I’d assume your HCG would have been lower than 12 before now. Have you had negative tests since your MC?

I’m doing good thank you I think the disappointment made me realise that I do need to give things some time to heal.

@Dinosaur39 are you having another blood test after 48 or taking the 6 as it’s low?
mine was 12 on Wednesday and waiting for my friday results
my mc was in January so almost 9 weeks ago and I think I’ve had atleast one period. I think my second one was a very early mc as it was super early and horrendously heavy.
my body has not felt back to normal at all post mc so if I did manage to get pregnant again it explains it a little bit

I’m ok thank you, if anything it’s make me realise that I need to take a breathe and stop trying to rush things. My body needs to get back in sync before we can start trying again so I just need to allow the time.

I had bloods done on Thursday that morning I got a couple of faint positives!
But got my results and they were only 6 so she said she highly doesn’t think it’s a new pregnancy and I’ve done a test this morning which was negative so unfortunately was just a few small factors allowing me to get my hopes up! Anyway I know better for next time!
Have you had the results of your bloods?
When was your MC? And have you had a period since?
