@Bubblesandballoons I used the Cyclogest last cycle and it made no diff just took an extra 5 days after stopping for period to come 🙄. Using them this cycle, but 10dpo and negative, so guessing this isn’t my issue or not ant this stage anyway. I prob have dud eggs too 🙈. Just frustrating going from easily conceiving but miscarrying to now nothing for ages 😩.
that’s positive it was high. Are you in the tww then?

MrsJGrealish · 15/06/2023 18:41

@Bubblesandballoons Hi missus, em that seems weird? But good you're getting more testing. Will you use the suppositories then? I've been wrestling with this and no one can give me a straight answer but i finally got a 21 day blood test got the results yesterday. The progesterone level came back high so unless it drops suddenly or more likely eggs are dudes 🙈? Where u at in your cycle? Xx

Bubblesandballoons · 15/06/2023 18:16

@MrsJGrealish how are you doing? Had my appt with consultant today. She basically said as I can get pregnant she thinks just keep trying 🙄. I did mention they said about checking tubes and womb, she felt it wasn’t necessary, but I pushed as been 9 months now since we managed to get pregnant, so got to sort one after next period. She did do a more thorough blood clotting panel and is checking my vit d levels. Genetic blood tests will be up to another 2 months before results are in, so hopefully by them with have had everything checked and see if anything is flagged up.

@BudgetBuster
I know it’s difficult and it’s completely normal to feel the way you do after a loss.
Everyone says it and I don’t know if it makes you feel any better but your time will come and it will all be worth it when you have your own baby to send pictures of and celebrate ☺️ just try and stay positive and keep the healthy vibes flowing.

My LH tests today have gone down so I assume I ovulated early this month.

TWW commences 🎉

BudgetBuster · 16/05/2023 09:50

Should have had our 12 week scan yesterday but miscarried in April. Received a picture of a scan from a friend yesterday. It's these little things are bitter sweet. Obviously delighted for my friend but the day that it was was crushing.

Another friend is due next month on my due date from a previous miscarriage.

Not only do we need to contend with struggling to have a child, but need to try to be happy for all these others.

RegardingPersephone · 15/05/2023 21:50

Good luck @Dinosaur39 ! If you managed to dtd around this time then you've done enough!

Currently feeling down as booking appointment should have been this Wednesday. I think I should ovulate soon as tests are getting higher and darker and Im on cd16, which is when I ovulated last cycle. The one before that was cd18.

Just want it to go right this time. I know the next time will be tainted by anxiety and worry if I'm lucky enough to have a next pregnancy which makes me sad as the joy of it has been sucked away.
Most of the people around me are pregnant so easily and having a fine time which isn't easy either. I should have only been a few weeks behind them. Safe to say I'm in a bit of a slump!

Dinosaur39 · 15/05/2023 21:30

Hi all,
Really pleased to see some BFP’s!
I’m in my second cycle after a miscarriage in February, last month I had a peak at CD19 so decided to wait until CD15 this cycle to test LH as I didn’t want to get consumed by testing everyday, my test today was as high as my peak last month! This has thrown me off and can’t help feeling deflated and that I should have been more organised this month.
Anyway, can only hope that we done enough and I suppose my TWW will start early which is a positive.
Will test again tomorrow and see what my LH is saying!
Good luck to all this month!

TheBirdintheCave · 08/05/2023 21:43

@TTCxox I've nearly completed my first round of IVF :) Egg collection is tomorrow. It's a freeze all though as I'm an OHSS risk so I won't be getting a transfer until late June/July 🙄

We're lucky that we have a toddler already but had a lot of fertility issues trying to have him. Was hoping number two might be easier but two missed miscarriages later and no such luck 🤦🏻‍♀️

TTCxox · 08/05/2023 21:31

@TheBirdintheCave thanks for your kind words ❤️ how have you been getting on with TTC? Have you come across the podcast “the worst girl gang ever”. I listened to it nearly everyday on my daily walks lol, it really helped me feel like other ppl understood what we’re going through . I also ordered miscarriage books/ttc books to help me as I blocked off this site off my phone this past month as it really made me obsessive lol.

sorry to hear that @Cheetocat 😞 I know how you feel 100%.do you manage to catch your positive ovulation days?

@Daniki wow congrats! I hope the line gets stronger!! How many DPO are you? So I’m on day 3 of pessaries. They are (so far), totally fine. Mess free, no constipation (from what I read). I don’t actually know what the side effects are but I have none!

Hi All, can I join? I found out I was pregnant yesterday after exactly 1 year of TTC with 3x miscarriages in that time frame. I actually had brown spotting and cramps so thought it was my period coming and that I was definitely not pregnant. but when nothing else came I tested. My gp has given me asprin and progesterone pessaries until 12 weeks + agreed for me to have reassurance scans. My anxiety is going to be through the roof until I hold my baby in my arms but especially the next 8 weeks are going to be hell for me!

Hey, how are you getting on with your meds? Had a faint positive this morning so will keep an eye as my consultant what's me to start the pessaries, aspirin etc as soon as I get a positive! X

TheBirdintheCave · 06/05/2023 21:24

*wringer damn autocorrect 😂

Cheetocat · 06/05/2023 17:28

It's now been a year since our loss, I still grieve at the most random times. The joy we got from that pregnancy that ended too soon was life changing and I long for it. We have been trying everything to conceive and it hasn't happened yet.

Daniki · 06/05/2023 11:53

@TTCxox prednisone is steroids, when I was pregnant with my first I was on it and another medication as I have ulcerative colitis and possibly why my pregnancy was successful (as both used in recurrent miscarriage) so iv been prescribed it for when I get pregnant again. Altho TMI(I have a "barbie butt") as I have a ileostomy bag so vaginally will be the only way I can use the pressures I really hope I can tolerate it as iv seen so many people say they can't 🙈

TheBirdintheCave · 06/05/2023 09:20

@TTCxox

No worries re the mistake :) Congratulations and the best of luck to you! I really hope this one sticks as it sounds like you've been through the ringer.

And thanks for considering that it might have accidentally triggered people, not many posters are aware of that 🥰

TTCxox · 06/05/2023 08:32

Thanks for sharing @ChloeN i will join ☺️

thanks @Hankthehonk I really hope the best for you and a BFP soon🤞🏼

thanks @Daniki . I’m not sure what prednisone is but with the pessaries you can take them vaginally or up your backside 😬 I chose the latter as I have cervical ectropion and don’t want to worry myself if I see any bleeding . so far I’ve taken it last night and this morning and I have no side effects but still very early days. I have another 8 weeks of these ! Wishing you so much luck 🤞🏼

Daniki · 06/05/2023 08:21

@TTCxox congrats on your BFP! Iv not got mine yet but due to my previous losses iv been prescribed progesterone aspirin and prednisone, let me know how you're finding them?

Hankthehonk · 06/05/2023 07:14

@TTCxox I'm glad you shared here, it gives me hope to read stories like yours! Congratulations, I hope you can keep the anxiety at bay and of course that you have a healthy pregnancy. Great that you're already getting support from your doctor.

TTCxox · 06/05/2023 04:32

Sorry I’ve just realised the title is “ttc after miscarriage”, (it’s 4.30am 😕) so I really should’ve written my post in another thread. Sorry if I triggered anyone I can’t delete my message .

Hi, all haven’t been on here in a while, been struggling a bit, should have been my due date a month ago, and still not falling pregnant, and it will soon be fast approaching a year since I fell pregnant before.

Cervical Mucus question…. So around day 13/14 of cycle I started getting the egg white discharge and I did an OPK test on 1st May (day 18) and it was positive (is that late to be fertile? I’ve no idea) anyway, we had sex a few times during the times that I was fertile. But today on day 22 I’ve got a load of the egg white mucus discharge again??! My period is usually due around 14th may and my cycles vary in length between 29 days and 32 days! I’m just so confused, I wanted to do an OPK again today but I’ve run out 🤦🏼‍♀️

tulipsunday · 26/04/2023 12:11

It is so frustrating and I agree there is a lack of support. When I spoke to the Tommy's midwife about my miscarriages she spoke a lot about progesterone. I thought the likelihood of getting a test through the GP and on my correct cycle date was unlikely so have ordered a finger prick test to do on Thursday. I'm not great with that kind of thing so it may be £40 down the drain 🙈

ChickenT2b · 25/04/2023 12:35

Hi ladies, I am so angry right now.
I called the GP yesterday and was told they would ask if hcg could be added to my pre booked blood tests today (I’m having some anyway that I needed for IVF clinic).
Rang just now to check if that’s been added. I’ve been told no, I need an appointment. Asked for an appointment, I get given 9th JUNE! What’s the point in that?! This is despite the receptionist knowing the reason for my call.

Now the on duty doctor is apparently going to call me. But just what a waste of everyone’s time. You’re literally drawing my blood anyway…

It just feels like there is zero support for miscarriage at all. Both the EPU and Tommy’s advised hcg test. Why should we be expected to pay for these ourselves?

Not sure if it’s just me but I think it’s awful.

tulipsunday · 25/04/2023 12:25

@ChickenT2b - no experience of this sorry as my losses were a bit later but sorry you are in this position. Have you been given any advice as to what to do now?

ChickenT2b · 24/04/2023 21:08

Update from my side. Hcg test came back at 22.7 for 18 dpo which is extremely low. Safe to say this is in fact a chemical pregnancy. Any thoughts? Did anyone else check hcg before a chemical? 💔
