@MrsC2018 so sorry to see your update 💛.
@Bubblemachiene did you look at the stick when you popped it out? I always had two very strong lines when the static smiley popped up, similar to a cheap strip.

Welcome to all the newbies. I’m just heading into the fertile window. Still waiting on my blood test form to redo the sticky blood test, the consultants secretary keeps ringing me to see if it’s been sent. It’s nice that she at least seems to care 😂.

bringmearainbow · 15/02/2023 16:12

@ChloeN I've given up on cbs I had a couple of cycles of like 9 days of flashies so I obv get a estrogen rise early and it did my head in 😂 I went for easy at home this time which I've never used before. Everyone seems to rate them so thought I'd try

ChloeN · 15/02/2023 16:09

@bringmearainbow it was exciting the first month then I just get fustrated🤣 I have a really fast surge as well so don’t even get to see the steady rise. I only liked the clearblue for the flashy part made you feel like something was happening

Bubblemachiene · 15/02/2023 16:02

Oh right @TheBirdintheCave I only ordered them the other day, I've never used them before either so just thought I'd try one, it does say start on day 8 and I'm day 8
I've no strip ovulation tests to try but last one I had I used yesterday was almost positive

bringmearainbow · 15/02/2023 16:01

@ChloeN 🤣 haha that worked out well for you 🙊 atm I just can't be bothered but prob by next week I'll be more chirpy and want to pee on all the sticks 😂

ChloeN · 15/02/2023 15:55

@bringmearainbow oh I hate the worrying in case it happens when they’re away, so fustrating 😡 I didn’t really do opks properly the last cycle I got so fed up of seeing low readings it pissed me off🤣

SMG1992 · 15/02/2023 15:51

@MrsC2018 Wishing you stength in the next few days/weeks/ months and all the best in which ever option you choose.

Life can be so cruel :(

Chellooo · 15/02/2023 15:33

@Ttcpph thank you!!

Kranke · 15/02/2023 14:46

@MrsC2018 so sorry to hear that. My last pregnancy was ectopic and I had the injections. I actually have a follow up appointment on Friday - 5 months after the ectopic due do staffing. My levels dropped quite quickly and I have been ttc since January as they kept rearranging the appointment and didn’t want to wait indefinitely. It’s hard to decide, mine was in my tube so I didn’t want to risk surgery and lose one, but I’m getting on and 3m feels a long time to wait to ttc. On balance I’m glad I did have the injections. It was good for me to take some enforced time out.

@Ttcpph so I've only really started charting again this month. I try to do it first think usually around the 7ish mark but it can be out by up yo 30 mins. I generally wake and toss and turn from about 5ish so could that be it? I'm using a bbt thermo an take it by mouth. Thanks for looking at it x

@Chellooo
i think you need to do a full cycle before you start worrying about whether you are or aren't ovulating, as there's no very many days worth of data there.
if you're temping first thing, then it should be fairly accurate but little things can throw it off. I find if I temp on the days I have to wake at 6 instead of my usual 7am, my temp is .2 lower, and equally if I temp at 8am my temp is .2 higher. To account for these slight deviations, you need a full month to spot a proper pattern.

keep going with it. My first month of temping was a mess, my second month was much easier to read and interpret.

Ttcpph · 15/02/2023 14:25

@MrsC2018 Sending you lots of strength. So sorry x

bringmearainbow · 15/02/2023 13:46

@MrsC2018 oh lovely that's really really crappy. Sending you so much hugs and love ❤️ I wish so badly the outcome was different for you xxxx

Chellooo · 15/02/2023 13:41

Ttcpph · 15/02/2023 11:45

@Chellooo how long have you been charting for?

do you temp at the same time every morning first thing? I.E you need to be laid down, and not have got up, had a drink, done anything at all.

mare you using a fertility thermometer, 2 decimal places?

do you do mouth or vaginally?

all these things will impact so just trying to get a better picture before I reply properly.

Sorry to be a Debbie downer but think it's the end of the road for me. They've ended up calling me in for the scan today and confirmed the C-section ectopic. Baby has a heartbeat too which is just so sad. So depending on my hcg levels which were 20,000 on Monday I'll either have methotrexate to stop it growing or surgery. But surgery carries a real risk of hysterectomy because of where baby is attached to and the risk of haemorrhage. So I pick surgery and risk hysterectomy or pick methotrexate and have to wait 4 months post last injection to start to try, but it may take months to get my levels down anyway. Having a healthy baby just feels too far out of reach right now so trying to get my head around saying goodbye to this chapter of my life - for my sanity as well as everything else I guess.
Wishing you all the absolute best of luck xx

Bless you - this all seems so unfair.
Take care of yourself ❤️

bringmearainbow · 15/02/2023 12:59

@ChloeN hey lovely how are you? I'm struggling atm CD6 and I'm in the it's never going to happen funk 🙈 and wondering if I should chuck out the new OPKs I bought and not bother. It prob doesn't help that if I have a late O this month I know we will be out as DH goes away so I'm willing my body to O CD16/17 🤞🏼 I'm just fed up and being a Debbie downer 🫣

TheBirdintheCave · 15/02/2023 12:58

@Bubblemachiene As far as I know, these tests require you to build up a history of usage before they can detect a peak as they compare the results to your previous data to see what your regular non-ovulation levels of LH are. I don't know how much I'd trust them when used in the middle of a cycle.

bringmearainbow · 15/02/2023 12:55

@Bubblemachiene oooh I've never had a static straight away as I've always started them early in my cycle. when I've had a static I've backed it up with a cheap strip opk which was also positive so I do think they are good at detecting peak. Haha men 🤦🏼‍♀️ It will cover you if he's not game but he might feel different tomorrow 🤞🏼if you can squeeze one more in to be sure! Do you have any cheap strips you can do?

ChloeN · 15/02/2023 12:55

@Brokenpancreas94 was thinking of you and the other girls on the mc thread the other day! Sorry to hear you’re still struggling😢 I felt the same it’s really hard when it doesn’t happen quickly like the first time!

Hope you’re doing okay too @bringmearainbow ❤️

Bubblemachiene · 15/02/2023 12:43

Thanks @bringmearainbow
Mine were just delivered and I took one straight away, got a static smiley face. Does this mean I am or have ovulate now? And if I dtd yesterday & this morning will that cover me as oh says its enough 😬but I'd rather try tomorrow to make sure lol. He says he's not 21 anymore haha

bringmearainbow · 15/02/2023 12:34

@Bubblemachiene I've used them before what's your question?

Bubblemachiene · 15/02/2023 12:19

Hi can anyone advice on clear blue ovulation tests.

HollyGolightly4 · 15/02/2023 11:58

@Ttcpph thank you so much, that is so helpful. I'm definitely going to do that- it might not give a 'reason' but it would help me to know one way or the other. Hope you are ok x
