@Brokenpancreas94 i took vitamin d, folic acid, dha and COQ10, no idea if they helped at all but thought it was worth taking something!

Brokenpancreas94 · 17/02/2023 10:56

@FfoxRedN @ttcttc I guess I've just got to be patient some how. Are there any good vitamins to take? Or anything that could help? Xx

Just got my period 😢 4 months after a miscarriage, when is it realistically/likely to happen to fall pregnant? Or does it just vary with everyone?

Everyone is different and lots of different factors to consider. Your period has returned so that's a positive and your body has started doing its thing again. Takes time to recover.

FfoxRedN · 17/02/2023 08:19

@Brokenpancreas94 you're not doing anything wrong. It can be normal to take at least a year. It also may be a positive sign if it takes a little longer as your body is then being selective on what it implants. Keep going you will get there 🥰

@TheBirdintheCave could my low iron be playing a factor too? X

TheBirdintheCave · 16/02/2023 23:26

@Brokenpancreas94 It's about a 20-30% chance every month if you time things right and have no fertility issues. Sometimes it can just take a while to get a lucky roll of the dice. It took me three months to get pregnant with the first miscarriage pregnancy but then eight with the second.

@ChloeN yes, I said congratulations but it's just hard 😞. Seeing as this month looks like another fail, I don't know where I'm going wrong! Xx

ChloeN · 16/02/2023 19:12

@Brokenpancreas94 oh that’s horrible, you’re happy for them but sad for yourself😢 hopefully next cycle brings you better luck❤️

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/02/2023 19:00

@ScrantonDunderMifflin a bit better thank you, still no period but did another test and it was negative. I just want either my period to arrive so I can be annoyed that I'm not pregnant or a positive test so I can then be nervous but hopeful as well! X

ScrantonDunderMifflin · 16/02/2023 18:52

@Brokenpancreas94 those are so painful.. so sorry. I hope today's been a bit better for you ❤️

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/02/2023 12:05

@ChloeN it's so had, I did the test yesterday and then got a group message that a family member had had her baby, and it was just a kick in the teeth as it should have been my turn next In a month or so! Still no sign of period today, so fingers crossed! Hope you're doing okay? Xxx

ChloeN · 15/02/2023 22:14

@MrsC2018 oh so sorry lovely😢 I’d never heard of this until a lady I know had it happen to her, she had a hysterectomy with her c section too. It’s just so unfair as if losing the baby isn’t bad enough!

MrsC2018 · 15/02/2023 21:54

Thanks everyone, I'll be ok it's just more risky than we originally thought. Quite a shock to be told I need to consent to a hysterectomy and what the chances of haemorrhaging are. Baby has attached to wall rather than the endometrium so they will do their best but I'll be the 4th lady the hospital have done this procedure on in the last 3 years so it's tricky. They've only had 5 cases in total in that time, 1 had the methotrexate and the other opted to go ahead with the pregnancy and delivered at 28 weeks but needed a hysterectomy with the c section. I feel like I'm in a dream, how can I have lost 3 babies in 10 months for rare and unusual reasons. My luck makes me worry I'll end up with the hysterectomy! Maybe that's what it'll take though to help me draw a line under this.

@Kranke thanks for sharing your experience- do you by chance know what your hgc levels were? I'm not sure they'll offer me that option in reality, they said they don't want my hcg to be over 50,000 but it was already 20,000 on Monday and there's no timescale for the MRI even yet as they need a kidney function test back before the form can be sent. I agree with you about the enforced time out - that will be exactly what I need, I keep jumping straight back into this madness!
@bringmearainbow I used the easy at home ones for the first time last month and was fine with them, just confirmed with the clear blue when they showed high and for me they both gave the peak on the same day

Bubblemachiene · 13/02/2023 14:54

@Chellooo @LMM91x do you wait for a static before u dtd or whilst it's flashing
How long after mc did u get a negative pregnancy test x

@Bubblemachiene it took about three weeks of my mc for the tests to be negative. I was about 7 weeks 2 days.

SMG1992 · 15/02/2023 21:19

@2magpie the line is very faint so maybe give a few more days but if it’s still not gone it’s best to be safe and contact epu
the worst thing I thought was if I got pregnant again and still had old tissue it would make the new pregnancy not viable so best to get it checked out

Daniki · 15/02/2023 20:51

@MrsC2018 I'm so sorry to read your update 😫 you poor thing, hope you have lots of support. Take care of yourself ❤️

Mannymoomin · 15/02/2023 20:11

@2magpie mine took 6 weeks to go down after first mc at 8weeks.

@MrsC2018 so sorry to hear this news, absolutely devastating for you, even worse that you have to make such a difficult decision on top of it 💐 xx

BudgetBuster · 15/02/2023 19:00

@2magpie 8 weeks would be quite high HCG. If you are comfortable I'd wait another few days. But you could always ring and let them know you have a very faint line and see what they recommend x

bringmearainbow · 15/02/2023 18:57

@2magpie sorry nothing worse is there 🙈 my first took 6 weeks to go negative and the second took 10 weeks. I was staring at faint lines what felt like forever. Def give them a call they will probably tell you to wait another week or 2 and test again

Milamight · 15/02/2023 18:55

Sorry posted too soon. I was 8 weeks. Took 5 weeks to turn fully negative..

2magpie · 15/02/2023 18:54

8+2 this time. Last time 13+5 and it took 8 weeks to get a negative test x

Milamight · 15/02/2023 18:53

I was 8 weeks x

BudgetBuster · 15/02/2023 18:42

@2magpie Sorry for your loss. The line is very faint. How far along were you?

2magpie · 15/02/2023 17:30

Sorry to see the sad news @MMrsC2018 . 😔
I've taken a test today (not pregnant, waiting for tests ti be negative following my mmc 3 weeks ago. Its getting fainter but still a line there. The Epu said to phone if still positive 3 weeks post d&c but its faint so not sure if i should phone or wait a few more days? I will attach test photo, test sensitivity is 20. Any opinions appreciated. Do you think it will be negative quite soon given its faint?
Having a bad day in my head with it all today.
X
