@Bridgeth29 was it first morning urine? As 10dpo is v early!!

Bridgeth29 · 15/02/2023 16:58

Also I've been spotting today so maybe it's a chemical....

Tophy124 · 15/02/2023 16:58

@Bridgeth29 I do see a hint of a line!

Bridgeth29 · 15/02/2023 16:58

@Tophy124 yes I've read that and so don't trust it. Though I've taken 2 frers a month for a year and have never thought I've seen a line till now! There's no way I can wait 2-3 days, I'd go mad! Will retest first thing tomorrow....

Tophy124 · 15/02/2023 16:55

@Bridgeth29 is it a FRER? I’ve had two false positives on them, so am really wary of them now!

Id retest in 2-3 days x

Bridgeth29 · 15/02/2023 16:53

Hi everyone, I have been TTC my second, age 38 for a year now. I got a vvf line at 3pm. This is a photo after 1.5 hours and I know you're not meant to read it after 30mins. There was a vvf line within 5 mins but it didn't show up in a photo then... What do we think? I had lost all hope and planning to book a private fertility appointment next month and don't know if this is just a dodgy test..I'm 10dpo and with my DS the line was clear at this stage.

Tophy124 · 15/02/2023 16:44

Is anyone else a few days out from AF? I just stared crying as the false lines really really got my hopes up this month and I’ve stupidly been reading all the threads about people getting late positives. I don’t feel pregnant. I have all my normal PMS symptoms including very painful boobs! I usually get bad rage with PMS but this month I just feel really really sad about it all.

Due AF in 2 days!

Tophy124 · 15/02/2023 16:43

@2021lady totally empathize! We are TTC baby 2 as well and I don’t know how far I want to push it. I’m booked for an HSG for 2 weeks time, but this emotional rollercoaster is stealing my happiness from enjoying the toddler I already have here. I’m so so thankful we have him!

2021lady · 15/02/2023 16:21

I'm feeling really emotional atm
I've seen so so many pregnancy announcements from friends etc and I just feel so low
We've been trying for number 2 now for over 2 years
Each month just gets harder
As much as I want another baby I feel like I can't keep doing thos trying month in month out
Waiting for ovulationn waiting for period etc
I've got 1 month of letrozole length and then I think I'll call it a day
I need a rest ;(

Amadeaa · 15/02/2023 16:05

Hi all, just came across this thread…this is my very first TWW 😅 probably not lucky on my first attempt anyway but I feel somewhere between excited and driving myself mad nonetheless. Good luck to you all!

AL1424 · 15/02/2023 15:40

@SaltedChoco Hopefully you get yours soon - I was getting annoyed with mine and a bit deflated as it had been day after day of flashing smiley then I got static the next day 😅 FX'd for you!!

SaltedChoco · 15/02/2023 15:33

@AL1424 that's reassuring you got yours on CD19. I'm on 17 and was starting to despair!

AL1424 · 15/02/2023 14:53

@Fallulah great news on the new GP - seeing someone different makes the world of difference and I am so pleased for you that they are taking it seriously. Also love the colour coded list of notes - can relate!

@Dragonfly91 it is so frustrating but hang in there! I didn't get my peak until CD19 so O would've been CD20 - there is hope!! Keep going and hopefully it'll show soon :)

SnookyPook · 15/02/2023 14:26

@Dragonfly91 I totally get you on not managing to stay eternally positive! I would be suspicious of anyone that did tbh! We all have our down days and can help pick each other up when needed! ❤️

Ah yeah my hubby does shift work and it can make it so complicated! Luckily I mostly work from home... There have definitely been days I snuck away from my desk for an hour to DTD 😂

Dragonfly91 · 15/02/2023 14:14

@SnookyPook thank you lovely, I do appreciate it. I was doing quite well with staying positive but you can only do it for so long I think! It's extra important for me to know when as my DH works nights and I work days so we're like ships that pass in the night! We will get there, thank you for the boost x

SnookyPook · 15/02/2023 14:08

@Dragonfly91 sorry to hear that you're down. It's so tough keeping positive sometimes isn't it and like you say, any uncertainty etc just makes it all worse. I'm sure you will ovulate soon! It's just all so difficult to navigate - especially when you don't have anyone to talk to irl! At least we are here for you and all going through similar! Big hugs

Dragonfly91 · 15/02/2023 13:41

@Babydustthisyear thank you lovely, it's so annoying to not know where you're at isn't it? I think I'm just getting a bit stressed and down x

Babydustthisyear · 15/02/2023 12:43

@Dragonfly91 hang in there I got my smiley today and I usually get it on CD14 try not to worry 🥰🥰

Dragonfly91 · 15/02/2023 12:36

Argh so frustrated, second cycle after mc using the CB ovulation tests, I'm on CD 14 and it's still blank!

Making me miserable, usually I am like clockwork on CD15/16

Having a bit of a downer to be honest about it, no one in real life to talk about it to.

Hugs and baby dust to everyone!

NatGee · 15/02/2023 11:39

@Fallulah thanks for the update - how reassuring that the GP you now saw seems to have taken a more proactive approach. Fingers crossed things will be followed up properly and good luck with your DPs SA. If you have £150 to spare, just book yourselves in a private clinic for that - that's what we did as we didn't want to wait around. You get the results the next day

@Sierra26 I don't know anything about prolactin at all and how to fix it. Will you have an appointment with dr to discuss?

Another flashing for me. 6th day in a row. Now CD17.

SnookyPook · 15/02/2023 11:03

@Fallulah so glad you had such an understanding and proactive GP - it can make all the difference can't it. So frustrating though to hear how much time has been wasted for you. Everything crossed that this gets the ball rolling with some positive results.

Fallulah · 15/02/2023 10:45

I’m back from the GP. Bit surprised how it went!

As usual it was a GP I haven’t seen before and it was at a different practice because mine is part of an ever-expanding group.

I explained that I was there because I was not pregnant. He asked how long I had been trying so I whipped out my colour coded list of notes that shows we’ve been trying since I came off the pill Easter 2021. At this he nearly exploded that I had been trying two years and not been referred to the fertility clinic. I explained that I’d had various blood tests and scans but that nobody seemed to follow
anything up and I felt like nothing was planned. He agreed and told me I should have been referred after six months because of my age. We discussed how they might well say I’m too old and fat, but we need to hear it from them so that we can move forward. He was really lovely and has asked me to put in a complaint about wasting two years of my
life with no answers (his words). He told me he has lots of patients that have had healthy pregnancies in their 40s.

So I will put in the complaint. It won’t benefit me but it might help someone else.
I’ve got to have my day 1-4 bloods done again and the ultrasound because it’s almost a year since the last one and he said the fertility service will want something more up to date.
My partner has to speak to his GP (different group/practice) about semen analysis. And then once we have all the results this doctor can do the referral to the fertility service. As I said, they may refuse to see me at 42 but at least that will be an answer.
And I will continue to try and lose weight although nothing seems to work!

AL1424 · 15/02/2023 08:00

@Sierra26 how annoying - it drove me mad too!! Not to mention the premium ad coming up every time i log into it 😂 I use my Fitbit as well and the two seemed to have synced so has evened out abit, when I log a positive ovulation test in Fitbit it moves the fertile window which is much easier to make sense of! I have made lots of notes though which I think have been most helpful! Wishing you lots of luck for a BFP soon xxx

Sierra26 · 15/02/2023 07:56

@AL1424 omg Flo is driving me nuts - I’ve never logged ovulation on CD14, but despite that and the fact I’ve logged consecutive negative ovulation tests on CD13&14, I’m on CD15 now and it’s still saying I ovulated yesterday. Annoying when I’m literally spoon feeding it the test data 😂
