@Floralsandsmiles Im going to try and see which ones I ordered and post a pic!!

OK, thank you @Tophy124 ! I just read up on the advanced ones I have and flashing smiley is when estrogen is detected in a surge as that's relating to fertile window and it goes to a static when there is a LH surge too. That's why it stays flashing as its searching for the LH peak too.. xxx

Tophy124 · 19/02/2023 20:26

These ones will only show either a circle or a static smiley!! No annoying flashing smiles to be seen.

@AlleycatMarie sorry these tests are still giving you issues!! Please look into the clear blue ones i mentioned before, which only show a smile on the day you actually have a LH surge (rather than the pack that show statics and flashing). I found it much clearer! I had no luck with the ones the flash and go static as my testing kit kept breaking and never showed a static!! But I was tracking alongside with strips and DID ovulate that month.

I feel sad I can’t try this month and super scared for my HSG. Really worried I will get told my tubes are blocked. I already know I have a huge endometrioma on one ovary hindering things and endo!! So for all I know my insides are destroyed. So scared!! But will post an update.

@Tophy124 which ones only show you the smile on ovulation days? (Sorry to jump on this..)
Sorry to hear you are having issues! Xxx

Congratulations @TinyPuds

AF due tomorrow. Never been so excited 😆

@Floralsandsmiles I am almost sure I had 10 days of flashing before static the month I came off the pill. I ended up emailing Clearblue in the end to ask and they said I could keep going if I wanted to.

@SaltedChoco that symbol is definitely a fault with the stick, not game over!

OH has spoken to his GP and has to pick up a form to be referred for semen analysis. My period feels like it’s on the way (felt really anxious last night and have some cramps which are usually the signs) so I’ve booked a raft of blood tests online with the hospital for this coming week, so that I can get the day 1-4 test done when it does show up, and will cancel the tests I don’t need. It gets so booked up that’s the only way to do it! I also put in my complaint to the GP practice about how we’ve been left too long without a referral but of course nobody has replied yet.

Congratulations to all those with lines!

Aww OK, thank you @Fallulah! Sorry you feel AF is coming, you aren't out until she is here! Xxx

@Floralsandsmiles the pack says that after 9 days of flashing you may wish to stop testing for the month. It assumes that either you haven’t ovulated that month or that the LH surge wasn’t high enough to register in the test. I have heard of people getting their static after 10 days though so I keep testing. The only thing I’m wondering is if I ovulated early this month, as I didn’t start testing until cd11 (but then I got two days of blanks before my flashes).
What day are you on?

@AlleycatMarie I started it on CD10, thar day and CD11 was an empty circle. Then today and yesterday have been flashing smileys. So I've used it for 4 days so far.. I'm supposed to ovulate either tomorrow or Tuesday (according to the predicted). So hoping either of those days it will turn static! Xxx

Amazing lines @TinyPuds so so exciting. I'm only 5dpo so long week ahead. I always find this the hardest part of the cycle by far... So many mixed feelings. Really praying this is the month but also trying to reign in the hope as I know it's so crushing when it doesn't work out. Fingers remained crossed and trying to stay as positive as possible!!

Just catching up on chat over the past few days - the loveliest bunch of girls!! So much support ❤️ I was in a really dark place in Dec/Jan and exactly the same I just didn’t have anybody to talk to about this stuff and bottling it up made things so much worse. Glad you gals are all here 💜 would’ve helped me if I had a group like you to talk to! I had a big chat with my husband about it 3 weeks ago and it was a game changer. Felt SO much better!

@LuckyC27 exciting! Did you use a normal pregnancy test or an early detection one?

I tested again yesterday… and today 😂 yesterday my line was darker than Thursdays 🤩 and todays was a bit darker than yesterday. I’m roughly 10dpo today and it’s looking very similar to how it progressed at the same time in my cycle with my daughter (had an early positive with her - think I had a due stealer before my period was even due).

With my pregnancy in October that ended in miscarriage the lines took a while to progress, and were really thin which didn’t sit right with me (also I had zero symptoms for the whole 8 weeks, and an ongoing tummy ache 😣). Just had a gut feeling the whole time something wasn’t right, I never felt excited about it. Strange eh.

Fingers toes legs eyes crossed this one sticks!! Xx

Sorry about the yellow on the oldest test 🤮 hate it when it does that haha, so gross!

This is amazing @TinyPuds! Congratulations 🎊 xxx

@SaltedChoco i just saw your post and went to reply to say sorry, then saw your picture! That definitely means a fault with the test rather than game over! Have you tested again yet? I want to stop testing because the bloody flashing face is driving me nuts, but then I keep thinking ‘maybe just one more day’.

@AlleycatMarie I just did a post on the flashing smiley and how many days ladies had it before static.. it only goes to 9 doesn't it? Then what? You miss your static? Xxx

SaltedChoco · 19/02/2023 18:49

Ooh I missed the post- congrats @TinyPuds so happy for you!!!

@SaltedChoco I had that error once and I popped out the stick and clicked it back in and it processed it and gave me a flashy smile. Just mentioning it as it doesn’t always mean you need to do another test.

LotzW · 19/02/2023 18:20

Congratulations @TinyPuds
Sending best wishes for a healthy pregnancy 💗

Runnergirl1 · 19/02/2023 18:08

@TinyPuds that looks like brilliant progression. Fingers crossed everything works out for you

@SaltedChoco definitely an error. Maybe the stick wasn’t pushed in enough or something. The amount of times I’ve popped it out while holding it to have a wee is ridiculous x

TunnocksTCake · 19/02/2023 16:57

@SaltedChoco I was going to say I think that's an error. Think you are only ever supposed to use first morning urine with those ones, but not sure if that applies if you have had an error... probably ok to test at a different time. Also think they say you can stop testing if you've had 9 days of no peak? It sounds incredibly frustrating though, do you have irregular cycles (sorry can't remember your back story!)
Congrats @TinyPuds that's looking very positive!

I'm trying to be much more chill this month too, at 5dpo now and I'm sure it won't last into the second week of the tww 🙄

SaltedChoco · 19/02/2023 16:44

Arghhh a very helpful poster has just messaged me to tell me it’s not game over, it means there was an error with the test and to try again 😖I could have been upset all day when it could still happen.

Instructions say to do with your next wee but typically I have just gone. So I’ll wait a few hours. Fucks sake! Will it still work testing with evening wee instead of first wee of the day? Guess we will see!

Aww this is amazing @SaltedChoco!! And I use mine CB tester all times of the day as I'm near my peak and am testing 3x a day.. (it's the first month and I don't know how long it will last, worried I will miss it!lol) xxx

Just getting caught up here too. Stepped away for a bit to try and distract myself with other things during this TWW but despite feeling generally less stressed this month and TWW is still getting the best of me!

Loved seeing all the positive messages, I felt totally alone in my worries until I started posting and it really does do the world of good to share all of it with each other, good, bad & ugly!

Huge congrats to the BFPs, love seeing your lines appear and their progression, much love to you all and sticky bean thoughts all round. For those that this isn't turning out the be the right month sending you all love and luck for the next cycle.

I'm only 8dpo and not testing yet, I have tests in the house but determined to get to 14dpo first. I think after speaking with the doctor at the start of this cycle it chilled me out, hearing that it just might not happen in the "normal way" for us definitely took the pressure off although that was hard to hear so not expecting it makes resisting the urge to test easier. I have bloods tomorrow and OH has SA on Thurs so will await those results too.

But, ah, isn't there always a but? 😂
I have had some very mild cramping today and yesterday, no bleeding though. And an odd sensation I can only describe as like a pulling in my pelvic bone. Never felt anything like it and it's right around the time implantation would most likely occur but I think I'm just the usual hyper aware noticing every twinge as usual. Really don't want to get ahead of myself especially since I've only really just got my head around the it might not happen etc etc from the doc.

Why do our bodies do this to us??

In a separate note though I'm off to London with pals in 8 days and I cannot think of a better reason not to get to enjoy the cocktails. Although it's nice knowing that if I am disappointed (testing next weekend) that I have that trip to help pick me back up.
