Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

That's fantastic news @LisaJor22 ! So happy for you x

LisaJor22 · 05/02/2023 18:12

Hi girls I was on the previous thread and had a bright red bleed last night attended A&E who referred me to early pregnancy but they can’t see me until Wednesday. We booked a private scan today where they found not one heartbeat but two 🙈 identical twins!!! We both burst out crying I can’t believe it!!

WolfMother326 · 05/02/2023 16:42

Hi all, thanks for the new thread!

We are not technically trying til spring but did have unprotected sex a couple times this cycle. It took us 9 months to conceive our first and I'm older now so I'm not super hopeful (or trying not to be). But I'm enjoying regularly making time for intimacy again, it's hard after a baby! Especially with working. And nice for us both to be taking extra good care of our bodies to prepare to try again 🙂

CRbear · 05/02/2023 11:55

@Hopingforno2in2023 - how exciting! It’s progressing so quickly- getting that appointment booked will be a milestone.

sorry to hear AF came @DollyGx - absolutely certain those circumstances could wreck your regularity! Fingers crossed it all comes back to normality for you soon.

@Lindsey02 and @PeopleAreToads - I may or may not be in the TWW too.

I just don’t know. I had a peak ovulation test on Thursday. But my temp has been erratic. At 07:30 this morning I still hadn’t had a rise, but by 8:30 (I stayed in bed, hadn’t got up) it was at my normal “post ovulation temp” so which one is correct?! My progesterone couldn’t have jumped that much in an hour. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. I’ve continued with ovulation tests in case of a second peak but nothing yet.

Hopefulhoney6 · 05/02/2023 01:15

@Lindsey02 When I got pregnant I had zero symptoms in the TWW so don’t worry! Most people don’t!

Chooba · 04/02/2023 23:43

@Lindsey02 I'm in the TWW too, no symptoms here. AF is due on Tuesday though so mentally I'm already prepared for trying again the next cycle.

PeopleAreToads · 04/02/2023 22:19

@Lindsey02 Im 7 dpo and definitely symptom spotting but don't think I have any! Trying to avoid testing til AF is due on the 14th

Lindsey02 · 04/02/2023 17:57

Tww and no symptoms, am I the only one?

Hopingforno2in2023 · 04/02/2023 16:25

Thanks SMG. AF is due this week so I assume we will start the cycle after so early March. Fingers crossed anyway!

Sorry AF arrived Dolly

DollyGx · 04/02/2023 15:28

Well that’s AF arrived for me so I’m out this month, another 37 day cycle, same as last month. Starting to get slightly concerned about these long cycles, I used to be pretty regular. Not been sleeping great recently and been a bit all over the place emotionally as this month would have been by due month had I not MC in august, so I’m hoping it’s just a combination of bad sleep and stress that’s thrown them out of whack and I’ll be regular again. Sending babydust to everyone else this month 🤞🏼

SMG1992 · 04/02/2023 10:51

Good luck for Monday @Hopingforno2in2023 I hope you can get booked in quickly!

Hopingforno2in2023 · 03/02/2023 21:03

Well today we paid for our ICSI! On Monday need to call the clinic and get the first appointment booked in.

Mummyme87 · 03/02/2023 15:53

I’m CD9 of another cycle not TTC. Hope it hurries up and AF comes as expected. It’s due 20th Feb then can get back on with this trying to have a baby!!

Summer022 · 03/02/2023 14:52

@Lindsey02 never out until AF shows up. Good luck!

I am currently 2dpo and trying to do anything to distract myself from the long wait ahead.

Lindsey02 · 03/02/2023 12:16

I’m in my Tww and i had my peak on Friday and Saturday last week. Currently have no symptoms so I think I’m probably out this month. AF is due a week tomorrow

SMG1992 · 03/02/2023 10:17

@CRbear thanks I hope you are too!

CRbear · 03/02/2023 10:07

@SMG1992 fingers crossed you are still in the window.

After my positive ovulation test yesterday I was hoping for a temp rise this morning but nothing. Even though I knowwwwwww it can be any time in the 24-36 hours afterwards so it doesn’t mean I haven’t but it doesn’t stop me overthinking it obviously. I tested around my peak at 8am yesterday morning- that means it could be anytime until 8pm today. So we’d better try and DTD today and tomorrow. I’m tired 😂

SMG1992 · 03/02/2023 07:46

So I took an ovulation test yesterday evening and got a static smiley face!
It's been just over 2 weeks since my MC! I'm so surprised I've ovulated so quickly and we hadn't been DTD as I had to wait 2 weeks post MC so we only started last night.
I hope I've still got enough of a chance to conceive in this window, will try and fit as more in as we can to boost our chances, however I'm trying not to put too much pressure on it, especially asbecuase the MC was so recent.
It would defintitley lift both of our spirits abit though.

TrudyProud · 02/02/2023 21:23

Hi all, no real update from me. Our house reno is nearly complete so still on track for a spring time TTC. Will be buying ovulation sticks for Feb AF so I can be sure I definitely am ovulating when I think I am then starting TTC in March/April when DD is 1yo (had a c-section).

So excited by all the BFPs! Can't wait to get back on the pregnancy train

LeopardLover · 02/02/2023 19:37

@Peachyplumm No other symptoms other than the cramps and shooting pains! I had imagined other symptoms the few months prior. I didn't really feel pregnant until I had an early scan! Not sure I'll get off so lightly this time round. Fingers crossed for you!

LeopardLover · 02/02/2023 19:33

I'm loving all the vitamin chat! I didn't even consider Pregnacare conception didn't contain omega 3 so I'm planning to add that in. I take CoQ10 but only 100mg (ubiquinol) as I don't have any known fertility issues. @SMG1992 Mine is Nature's Best - make sure it's ubiquinol as it's more easily absorbed. Although it takes something like 6 months to kick in 😅

I might consider adding more dairy into my diet. I need to remember to eat lots of leafy greens! It's kind of crazy we can influence egg health 3-4 months out. This is my main focus at the moment.

@Freya8 I'm also 37! Although I'm not concerned at the moment. 😊 Planning to give myself at least a year to conceive (but will probably get impatient after 4-5 months).

@Hopingforno2in2023 Sooo exciting! I'd feel impatient too. Hopefully tomorrow before the weekend!

Hopingforno2in2023 · 02/02/2023 16:20

Waiting for the clinic we have chosen to call me back to arrange tests and first appointment. Am so impatient and want to chase them but don’t want to be nightmare patient!

Hopefulhoney6 · 02/02/2023 15:37

@SMG1992 - yeah in Impatient Womens Guide to getting Pregnant she recommends Omega 3 (for you and your partner)

I also take COQ10 (as does DH). recommended for egg quality during IVF so think it could help here too

SMG1992 · 02/02/2023 15:16

@CRbear @Mummyme87 I've ordered some omega 3s to add to my routine, I was relying on walnuts and chia seeds but I don't think I'd be getting enough so happy to top this up with a supplement
I've never heard of CoQ10 400mg I'll do some research
