Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

@buckingmad I feel the same about wanting DH there! Another good reason for me to not buy a ton of cheapies and do it without him. Just in case a miracle occurs and we get our BFP!

Chooba · 08/02/2023 12:59

I'm now in the frustrating AF due yesterday but no sign, but BFN test position. I know rationally it's probably just my cycle settling down after my mirena coil was out in December, or stress as I've just moved house, but I'd quite like to be onto the next cycle if it's not happening this month!

WolfMother326 · 08/02/2023 12:55

I am definitely symptom spotting, or actually I've just been feeling nauseous for two days. I would only be like 7 or 8 dpo, I think, and I have a little boy in nursery so its also possible I just have a bug from him 🙃Time will tell but I am feeling really confused!

buckingmad · 08/02/2023 12:14

God I forgot how tedious the TWW is! I'm 1dpo with AF due 21st Feb.

OH was away with work when we got our positive last time and I've just looked on the calendar and once again he is away for a week when my period is due!

I've worked out we could use one of the early CB tests the Sunday before he goes and I would be 12dpo soo if I am pregnant then a positive should show up. I didn't get a positive until I was 16dpo last time but that was with cheapies.

I just really want him to be there this time! I want him to have first look seeing as I did last time.

Mummymidwife33 · 08/02/2023 11:46

@LisaJor22 fab news! Congratulations!

Mummymidwife33 · 08/02/2023 11:46

@LongDistanceLife hello fellow midwife!

Mummymidwife33 · 08/02/2023 11:43

I'm 3DPO and AF due 18th so looks like a couple of us are due around the same time. Date night for valentines on 17th. I'm not drinking anyway but tempted to test early to give DH a nice surprise if it was positive.

Asked DH last night about testing- he doesn't want us to do it unless my period is late. I'm holding off buying a bunch of cheapies off Amazon as I know it will get obsessed and test from 9DPO! I know he's right but it's so damn hard! It's not fair that he gets to just put it out his mind! I've decided we won't get a positive this cycle anyway. It can take 3-6 months or up to a year for sperm to be back in his semen after the reversal anyway so highly unlikely we have any chance this month. And yet I can't help but hope!

Everything went great with our nhs scan, 2 heartbeats and the twins are MCDA (monochorionic diamniotic) same placenta same outer sac but separate inner sacs and they’ll be identical 🙈 still floating on a cloud x

Yay! So so pleased for you and great news they are monochorionic diamniotic and not monochorionic monoamniotic! Is it starting to sink in? 😍

Morning all,

AF is due on Sunday and all tests are negative so I’m out this month. I am going to step up the game going forward and start healthy eating, take seven seas trying for a baby daily.

does anyone know of any green teas that may help?

You're not out till AF arrives. Any chance you ovulated later than you thought? I am in the TWW now and checked my app to see when I tested with my first baby and I didn't get a positive until I was 16dpo (or what I thought was 16dpo, looking back I'm guessing I ovulated later).

Hi everyone!

Sorry to jump on board as I know this thread started a little while ago and is absolutely rammed but...

Age: 28
Ttc: No.2
Started: End Dec 2022

Currently on our second cycle of trying (CD14) think I'm due to ovulate on CD18...

Have a DD already from a previous "friendship" - she will be 5 in April :)

My now partner (34) doesn't have any children and we would both love a child together and would love to give my DD a sibling!

Absolutely obsessed with POAS with both opks and pregnancy tests 🙈

As I'm sure a lot of people are... Really worried it's not going to happen or it's going to take ages to happen...
Seems like so many people either get their bfps on their first cycles or it takes a while!
Not sure how long it took to conceive DD as was a casual thing with a friend that went on for about 16 months and wasn't really on any contraception (was told from having anorexia for many years I'd probably pretty much ruined my chances)... But apparently not 🙈😂

Good luck and baby dust to all! 😊✨x

@LegalLights Welcome!! 💜 I'm also 37 but will be TTC #2. I know what you mean about just returning from Mat Leave. My toddler will be 2 at the end of April so it still feels recent. I actually think most people are expecting me to fall pregnant soon, but we won't be trying until May!

Aww snap on alot of this! I'm 36 in July and will TTC #2. We were planning on end of april/beginning of May.. but thinking of trying earlier now and bringing it forward a month as I doubt I will fall instantly lol xxx

CRbear · 07/02/2023 17:46

@Wonkyjelly and @WolfMother326 - snap! Well ish! I’m 4DPO, testing Friday 17th!

WolfMother326 · 07/02/2023 16:08

Hey @Wonkyjelly - yes very similar! I have a very short cycle, but I think I'm due the 16th or 17th. I might test Saturday as we're going out on a date night and I would like a glass of wine if I'm not pregnant!

Wonkyjelly · 07/02/2023 16:04

@WolfMother326 we must be similar with cycles? I’m 5dpo and due period on the 17th. Last month I tested none stop, was the first month of trying and because I fell easily with my 2 children I was naively hoping it would be the same. This month im way more relaxed about it. Probably do a cheapy test on Monday, what about you? X

LegalLights · 07/02/2023 15:38

@LeopardLover right! It's a bit tricky and I know one supervisor in particular is going to say all the right things, and be kinda miffed. Hey ho. Fingers crossed for you for May!🤞🤞🤞

Kittenmum89 · 07/02/2023 13:52

Hi Ladies,

Hope it is ok to jump on this, I am 33, TTC no1, 4th cycle and 4 DPO. I currently take -
Folic Acid x 1
COQ10 3x 300mg
DHA's x 2.

Felt odd the last 2 days can't out my finger on it but almost like fuzzy like, nausea on and off but not sure if that me just symptom spotting and making myself feel that way.

LegalLights · 07/02/2023 11:48

Hi all :) just jumping on the thread

Age - 37
TTC - Baby number 3
Started - Earlier this month

We've just moved into a new house and will be hoping to build an extension (partly with the intention of housing a new arrival 🤞) and my other main aim this year is not annoying my work too much. My youngest is 3 now but it still feels like I only recently came off Mat Leave. I'm thinking if I do manage to get pregnant again there'll be some mutterings!

WolfMother326 · 07/02/2023 11:36

Summer022 · 06/02/2023 20:22

Feeling super anxious today. Only 5dpo on cycle #2 but just can’t shake this feeling of that I won’t be able to conceive. This is totally irrational and I just need to try and be patient but please somebody assure me this is normal?! 😬 It seems to be all I think about lately. It’s such a worry but I need to try and let it be what it’ll be. It’s so hard when all I see everyday is pregnancy announcements 😞

@Summer022 It's so hard, I really understand that feeling. It took us 9 months to conceive the first time and I was terrified something was wrong. But on average it takes most people up to 6 months-1 year even when they are healthy. The best thing to do is just relax, take lots of walks/fresh air and try to trust your body. In most cases it will work out, and if not there are so many medical things that can help you if you need them. But it probably won't come to that. You will get a beautiful baby!

Hopefulhoney6 · 07/02/2023 10:25

@DollyGx I feel exactly the same as you - had a MMC in December and my periods haven’t returned so now I’m just all in my head about it. So many friends pregnant (many with their second babies), colleagues announcing pregnancies etc etc. I’m trying to just do fun stuff and forget about it, but it’s hard to not be in a negative mindset sometimes!!

@Floralsandsmiles - order The Impatient Womens Guide to Getting Pregnant, a short book helping with all of the tracking etc. I found out through BBT that I ovulate on CD18 (although my body is not mucked up after my miscarriage seemingly!).

I'm sorry @Hopefulhoney6 for your MMC. And for feeling abit of a negative mindset and all the other happy news with colleagues etc.. I will be honest and say I am finding it difficult to be around this type of news too xxx

@Jennifer89 I found it really hard hearing about pregnancies when I was TTC the first time. It just takes over your brain! I also understand about not being too excited. I only got excited after the 20 week scan with my son! I plan to get a private NIPT scan this time round so it's less of a wait.

@buckingmad Do you and OH work from home? I'm so jealous! Would much prefer to DTD with loads of energy in the day 😅 my son doesn't really nap though so it wouldn't work. But still!

This month I was disappointed AF arrived but not as sad as previous months as I told myself not to get too excited about potentially being pregnant. I think in a way that helps me to not get my hopes up too much.
Now it's just the usual countdown of waiting for ttc days again. Going to give the clear blue ovulation sticks ago as think I may prefer the smiley faces to reading the lines on the cheap sticks. 😅
