Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

Hi ladies,

so after having the pains early this morning that felt like AF was coming I decided to test this evening…I am in utter disbelief… I don’t know how to keep myself calm so my partner doesn’t realise as I wanted to surprise him on Valentines Day! How do I keep calm?!!!

@LegalLights That's true - it could happen straight away. I just don't want to presume it will. We're planning to start trying this month so hopefully by the end of the year, I'll be pregnant.

LegalLights · 10/02/2023 11:38

@CaffeineAndCrochet Hey, I'm also 37 and expecting things might take longer etc you just never know! Fingers crossed for you when you start 🤞. I've got two but younger than yours and I'm aware this is likely our last 'go' we're trying to take a more relaxed approach this time just with the uncertainties of age :)

CaffeineAndCrochet · 10/02/2023 11:32

Hi all,

Can't believe I'm joining this thread!

I'm 37, with one child already who's now a pre-teen from a previous... eh... situation.

DH and I have been talking about whether to have a child together for the last while and last night we made the decision to start trying so I'm both excited and nervous.

I'm a fair bit older than when I got pregnant on DD, so I'm going to try and keep in mind that #2 might take some time.

Freya8 · 10/02/2023 11:24

@Summer022 i didnt have an implantation bleed with my first either! Had really bad crampy feelings much worse than my AF cramps! Also rem i was bendin down and got up too quick n something jus felt .. diff! Was like a big pang sharp pain in belly down near foof! Fingers crossed for u xx

WolfMother326 · 10/02/2023 10:15

@TrudyProud wow those notes are so helpful! Very detailed.

@buckingmad that was the same for me in my first pregnancy. I felt unwell, and like i was getting my period, but no morning sickness til about 6 weeks.

I'm either sick right now or pregnant, I just cant tell. I've had a headache for about 4 days, waves of nausea in the afternoon/evening that's made better by having toast or a biscuit, and a lot of my normal things I like to eat sound gross (esp sweet things). Definitely could just be a bug though. Still have another week to go til my period is due.

@Floralsandsmiles Good idea! I will wait it out, I’ll keep myself busy over the weekend to avoid thinking about it too much 😆 I should know either way by early next week! Hopefully AF doesn’t show up lol!!🤞 Xxx

I'm crossing my fingers for you @Summer022 ! Xxxx

@Floralsandsmiles Oh that is so reassuring!! I am super hopeful that this may be it 🤞 How long after feeling the implantation pains did you test? I was going to try and wait it out til 12dpo as long as AF doesn’t show up, but I’m desperate to test 😆 so hard to resist!! Xx

@Summer022 I waited until the day after AF was due, as I got a little crazy on early testing and disappointed alot. However it was the hardest thing ever!! Lol I've read the later you wait, the more chance it's accurate. So try and long it out as much as you can lol however hard that is.. 😊 xxxx

@Summer022 I didn't have an implantation bleed with my first DC either! And I felt the pains you are feeling which I thought was early AF at the time and it was implantation. These are great signs! Xxx

LeopardLover · 10/02/2023 08:57

@Summer022 I never had an implantation bleed!! Fingers crossed 🤞

Summer022 · 10/02/2023 08:47

@LeopardLover honestly I was convinced AF had started as I was curled up in a ball with the same dull ache as I get with AF - never had that early in my cycle so defo hoping it was implantation pain. Not everyone gets bleeding with implantation right? As I have woken up this morning with still no bleeding so still confused! Fingers crossed!

LeopardLover · 10/02/2023 07:34

@Almondbut Such great news! Congratulations 🥰

@Summer022 Some women feel different straight away. I had loads of cramping (worse than normal AF) but it was later than DPO9 and I didn't test until DPO18. You could be feeling implantation pains! 🙏

Summer022 · 10/02/2023 03:22

Hi ladies,

I have just been woken up by cramps that feel like AF is coming at 9dpo. I have never had this so early in my cycle before as I’m only CD 29 and I usually have a 30-32 day cycle. I normally get a dull ache around my tummy and slightly into my right leg with AF and it feels exactly the same as that. Easing off slightly now but still there. I have been to the loo and there’s no blood at all yet so I don’t know what’s going on! Has anyone experienced this?

TrudyProud · 09/02/2023 22:34

@WolfMother326 i actually wrote down what I was feeling during my TWW for DD. I'm glad I wrote it as I actually forgot.

I got my BFP on 16th august

Hey everyone still here and lurking just don't have much to contribute as I'm not starting for a while 😂.

Still very much looking forward to October when I start but it's temporarily stopped dominating my thoughts which I guess is a positive as I dont want to wish away my year

buckingmad · 09/02/2023 20:15

WolfMother326 · 09/02/2023 19:14

Did anyone who got a BFP experience nausea before a missed period?

With my first I just felt off. Almost like the day before you come down with a bug. Nausea didn’t kick in until a few weeks later

AlbaGracie · 09/02/2023 19:59

NoodleQueen90 · 09/02/2023 17:32

@AlbaGracie that's a good plan instead of just worrying for a month like I did, which OPK's do you use?

Wondfo cheapies from Amazon!

Needing help. AF is now 3 days late apart from a single very light spot Monday morning. Getting lots of pregnancy symptoms but test was negative. Any one had something similar? Going to try and speak to the doctor Monday as I’ve only ever been late because of pregnancy

Do you track ovulation and if yes, how many days post ovulation are you? Wondering if you ovulated late and didn't realise..

If you read further up the thread it looks some people don't get a BFP until 10-14 days post ovulation so maybe testing too early?

Fingers crossed you've got your dates wrong and it's implementation bleeding x

AlbaGracie · 09/02/2023 16:19

NoodleQueen90 · 09/02/2023 13:46

@AlbaGracie I was worrying a bit too. I haven't tracked ovulation yet...was going to just DTD a lot from next week until the end of the month and see how that goes...DP is on board with that plan 😂 if nothing this cycle then I might buy opk's or a thermometer and track bbt. How do you track it?

I used OPKs last month and will do again this month in case my cycle length varies post-pill. We tried to DTD every other day last month but we were exhausted by the end so going to try targeting specific weeks now 😂
