Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

@HannahLouD hey, I’m 8dpo and I did the same this morning. Also feel a plonker. Lol. It looked exactly like yours. I have no idea why I even did, when logically it’s way too soon.

We haven’t been actively trying this month but have been more relaxed and DTD CD13 and 14 with the view of if it happens, it does!

LeopardLover · 18/02/2023 10:10

@buckingmad I definitely see a line! Congratulations! Hopefully you see progression soon.

@HannahLouD Step away from the FRER 🤣 You could still be pregnant but you're testing quite early - we all ovulate at different times and I've just found some people test positive early and other don't. I didn't get my BFP until 18DPO so that's quite a way away! How is your BBT looking? X

Morning everyone!

Thanks for the replies re. easy@home tests!
I don't know what to do now 😂 maybe I should just stop being such a poas addict and wait a few days and use a precious frer 😅 I just don't know if I can deal with looking and seeing it stark white again... I wish I was patient enough and had the will power to just wait for AF or until I was late 🙈🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

Hope everyone's doing ok today! 😊 x

Hahaha caved at 9dpo like an absolute plonker and did a frer... Why do I keep on wasting my money like this?! 😩😅🤦🏻‍♀️
I know it's still really early but I just know this isn't going to be my month 🤷🏻‍♀️ wish they didn't say they can detect from this early!...

Thanks both. I’ve done another test and it’s a bit of a squinter again but I’m only 10/11dpo so I’m being cautiously optimistic.

Will test again Monday morning before DH leaves for his trip away. AF is due Tuesday anyway.

DollyGx · 17/02/2023 21:52

@buckingmad that looks pretty good to me!! Congrats! 😃🥳🥳

@Madness101 welcome! I have the same goals at you, really need to work on better sleep habits!!

DollyGx · 17/02/2023 21:49

@LeopardLover hey! Yes I made an appointment with the GP for both me and my partner, so blood tests at the end of the month I think to check my progesterone and some other things? And a lovely semen analysis for the OH 😆 will be interesting to see what comes back, I’m a bit apprehensive but I guess it’s better to know!

Madness101 · 17/02/2023 21:44

Hi all, been following this thread for a while, congrats to all those with a BFP and baby dust to all those still waiting.

I’m 28, TTC #3 and I have 2 DS already. Coil came out last week and AF has just finished so can’t wait to get started.

Goals - get to bed earlier, cut down on the caffeine and remember to take my vitamins

CaffeineAndCrochet · 17/02/2023 19:49

@buckingmad Congratulations! I definitely see a line.

buckingmad · 17/02/2023 14:00

10dpo and I did a clear blue this morning and this very faint line appeared and it’s got darker since. I’m hopeful it’s not an indent as it is definitely blue. Will test on Sunday before DH goes away with work but I’m tentatively hopeful!

  • morning

bloody auto correct

Noodles4Me · 17/02/2023 11:39

Mormon all. Hope all is good - baby dust to all.

I’ve no idea what going on with me. Six weeks since the implant was out. No period yet. Done ovulation sticks and BBT which shows a “peak” on Monday (but we had sex Sunday and Tuesday 😩🙄) but not felt like I had ovulated.

So I am technically in the TWW but not hopeful.

NoodleQueen90 · 17/02/2023 10:08

Hope everyone is doing well.
@WolfMother326 sorry to hear this, hope you're ok. Let us know how you get on at the GP.
@SMG1992 that sounds promising :) keeping everything crossed for you!
@CaffeineAndCrochet I'm also due to ovulate next week so according to Flo, today is the start of my fertile period this cycle...lots of DTD coming up for us too. I'm using OPK's for the first time as well. The strip this morning had no line (apart from control) but will see what they're like over the next few days. Last month I didn't have any of the obvious symptoms that I was ovulating so will rely on them this time and see how we go.
For others using OPK's, how many days before ovulation do you start getting faint lines?

LeopardLover · 17/02/2023 09:19

@HannahLouD Haha, I remember my first two months TTC I was getting through FRERs and then realised it was expensive, so waited until I was 18DPO to test when I got my BFP! I'm planning to do the same when we start again. She says!

LeopardLover · 17/02/2023 09:17

@WolfMother326 Oh I'm really sorry, that absolutely sucks. I think it's a good idea to talk to your GP to hopefully get some answers and reassurance. Sending lots of love!

WolfMother326 · 17/02/2023 08:27

@LeopardLover thanks for checking in. I think it was an early loss. I am not feeling any morning sickness now and no sign of my period. Tests all negative. I'm sad. Might talk to my GP just to make sure all is OK.

HannahLouD · 17/02/2023 07:20

CaffeineAndCrochet · 16/02/2023 22:57

DH and I can officially start trying from today. Due to ovulate early next week so plan is to dtd every day or two for the next week and hope for the best.

LeopardLover · 16/02/2023 20:27

How are you feeling @WolfMother326 ? That's so strange, come to think of it I had strange spotting and light cramps last time I was TTC but no nausea. I don't think it's too late though, I never got my BFP last time until after AF was due.

@DollyGx Sorry about the long cycle but such helpful info from the acupuncturist. Have you made an appointment with the GP?

@SMG1992 That sounds so promising, crossing my fingers for you!

@Mushroo how are you doing? Have you spoken to the GP?

@Wonkyjelly Hope you're all feeling better and that's exciting... It's definitely not too late.

@Improbablecat Yay! Look how strong that line is. Congratulations. My friend got her dates wrong too, it definitely happens!

@Tophy124 You aren't out until you're out! TTC can be so emotionally draining, really sorry you've been feeling down. X

Tophy124 · 16/02/2023 19:58

@PeopleAreToads what confused me is the negative tests were the day after and everything I read online said that a CP is usually when the test goes negative after a week or so xx

PeopleAreToads · 16/02/2023 19:54

@Tophy124 @HannahLouD I think it's because they're more sensitive than a lot of tests, so pick up early when the risk of a chemical is higher

Tophy124 · 16/02/2023 17:07

@HannahLouD I used them this month (search my name or I can repost the pic if you want) and I had 6 with lines. My dr thinks I either had a chemical or they were dodgy tests! If you google them unfortunately a lot of women have had lines come up with them and then not been pregnant. I’ve used them a lot and I may have just got a dodgy batch this month or a chemical. Apparently you’re not meant to pee on them directly, but only dip them xx

PeopleAreToads · 16/02/2023 15:27

@HannahLouD I used them and got a BFP at about 10 dpo, which was the same as an Frer and earlier than clear blue

buckingmad · 16/02/2023 15:11

I only used cheapy pregnancy tests after I got my BFP and just wanted a little reassurance for those first few weeks until my 12 week scan. They never really got that dark tbh so think they're probably only much use once your period is due or imminent.

HannahLouD · 16/02/2023 14:02

Hi all! 😊

Does anyone have any experience with testing with the cheapie easy@home strips? I use them for opk and they seem to be really good but not sure about the pregnancy test strips? I've got 20 that came with my opks and wondering when to start testing with them/when they would be likely to show a bfp if it were to be my month... I know frers are much more reliable and you can test earlier with them, but with my poas addiction, I can't afford to use them all the time 😂

Thanks everyone and good luck to all still waiting and congrats again to those who have got their bfps! 😊x

buckingmad · 16/02/2023 08:38

9dpo here, testing tomorrow morning when DH is back from a work trip.

Trying really hard not to symptom spot as this is first month trying for 2nd baby and it took us 12 months last time. But I've been having on off mild cramping for the last few days and my BBT is high. Last time I had regular nosebleeds from about 14dpo through to about 20 weeks so I'm kind of wishing for a nosebleed 😂
