Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

@CinderRosie I did think that, fingers crossed for tomorrow!

ViewFromTheAfternoon · 23/02/2023 14:36

@CinderRosie oh I'm so glad there's other people here in a similar position who can relate. I want to just crack on but I'm way too nervous about finances so feel like I want things to settle a bit after getting the house and decorating etc so we can see where we are at.

@happyfeet5 how are you feeling? have you done any more tests yet?

CinderRosie · 23/02/2023 13:42

@TTCTeacher if it didn’t come up in the time window it’s probably a weird type of evap or a dye bleed especially as it’s not a solid line. All you can do to he sure though is retest in a couple of days! Good luck x

CinderRosie · 23/02/2023 13:40

@LeopardLover @ViewFromTheAfternoon I’ve found my people. Hoping to TTC in 1-2 months, mainly because we have a million November and December birthdays in our family so we are holding out until then. Also having a lot of work done on our house in March so waiting until that carnage is over and we have sorted finances so we can go for it.

TTCTeacher · 23/02/2023 13:03

Help!
I’m currently 8DPO and I tested this morning and after 3 minutes it was negative, as expected, so I finished getting ready. I then glanced at it on the way out of the house and this has appeared… what’s going on?

@ViewFromTheAfternoon We're remortgaging, have work to do on the house and are saving for two cars so we're in a similar position! I keep thinking about it and I'm taking all my vitamins but probably not going to start until May at the earliest. Also considering switching jobs sooo...

LeopardLover · 22/02/2023 18:37

@HannahLouD Did you stop taking your BBT? It might be okay still! I never kept testing but I wouldn't have had as strong lines as you at your DPO. Crossing my fingers for you! Sending lots of love.

ViewFromTheAfternoon · 22/02/2023 16:51

Thread* not threat lol

ViewFromTheAfternoon · 22/02/2023 16:50

Hi everyone! I haven't posted on here since the first threat but still lurk every now and again. The plan wasn't to TTC until June so I have been trying not to think about it yet too much as it was obsessively taking over my thoughts.

We are in the process of buying a house. Mortgage application has been approved and now we are just going through the solicitor stuff. We have major work to do to the house and also need a new car! So I'm wondering if June will be too soon with the other stuff going on 😔

Anyway, congrats to everyone who is pregnant! So happy for you all. Can't wait to join in properly once I am actively TTC 😊

SMG1992 · 22/02/2023 15:44

@HannahLouD Aw I'm sorry about your tests this morning. How are you feeling in terms of your usual cycle?
It's early days so you don't have to rule it out just yet.

HannahLouD · 22/02/2023 14:18

Thanks for the congrats guys, but unfortunately my tests were much lighter this morning so I'm just waiting to bleed now... Hopefully it'll just start soon so I can forget about this cycle and try again... Gutted. x

PeopleAreToads · 22/02/2023 11:57

Hi all, I’m hoping that I’ve had a bfp, need to confirm in future days but thought I’d write a little log of my symptoms if anyone is interested:

CD13 9th Feb: noticed high amount of ewcm midway through the day, dtd late that evening
CD14 10th Feb: small amount of ewcm, assuming this was ovulation day (didn’t do any tests)
3DPO: headache (not unusual)
7DPO: large amount of white cm in one go (unusual), some period-like cramping. Assuming this was potential implantation day
9DPO: ~3 hours of cramping low down by my butt, very tender breasts (unusual, I basically never get this). Negative test (poas)
10DPO: potential positive test (pic below). Breasts less tender. Bit of nausea in the evening, could be unrelated as I’ve suffered from emetophobia in the past and anxiety presently
11DPO: potential positive test (pic below)

The tests look quite clear in the picture but within the 3-minute test window they were very very faint. So planning on testing with a digital tomorrow, though its level is 25mIU/mL rather than the 10mIU/mL so I’m preparing myself that it may say negative and try again in a few days!

Pics: top one is ~10DPO, bottom one is ~11DPO (today)

Any comments or if you think they’re not legit lines please let me know! Xx

anyone else lurking who is looking to TTC shortly but not right now?

I’m due AF any day and looking to skip TTC this cycle but potentially be trying from April/May.

Mushroo · 21/02/2023 09:32

Mummyme87 · 21/02/2023 06:28

AF has started for me this morning! CD1 of cycle 20, and we can restart ttc again now 💪🏻

CD3 for me so we’re probably similar timings :)

Wanting AF to disappear now - aiming to DTD every other day this time as far as possible. I’ve made DH go to the gym in case it helps 😂

TTC number 1, cycle 2

HannahLouD · 21/02/2023 09:02

Thanks everyone! I'm the worst, I know 🙈
With my DD (she's almost 5 now) it was a complete surprise and so I took like, 2 tests - one Sainsbury's one and one digital to see it in writing and then that was it. I didn't really think about it after that or worry... No obsessive poas... Just waited for my 12 week scan and was happy when I saw her on the screen.
This time, planned, I'm the absolute complete opposite 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

I was 23 with my first and to be honest I think a little naive about everything so maybe that helped 😅 (not saying that anyone who is 23 or whatever is naive about conception or pregnancy at all - I just personally hadn't really thought much about it before and certainly didn't know anything about opks or bbt or anything like that aha)

Anyway... @hahappyfeet5 - I can defo see a line!! Congrats! 🥳

Wishing everyone lots of luck who are waiting and sticky baby vibes to the rest! It's such an exciting but nerve-wracking time! x

Floralsandsmiles · 21/02/2023 08:34

happyfeet5 · 21/02/2023 07:04

Is there a second line or could I be seeing things? This was evening, having recalculated I think either 8-9dpo.

I can see this @happyfeet5 ! Xxx
