Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

CinderRosie · 06/03/2023 12:43

@DollyGx congratulations! Please update with your CB digi result. Still another month or two til we TTC so I am living vicariously through everyone on this thread 🤣

DollyGx · 06/03/2023 12:34

@Mummyme87 i think around 12 DPO? According to my apps anyway! Yeah I think the CB digital is the way to go! Thank you, doesn’t feel real at all!

DollyGx · 06/03/2023 12:22

@PeopleAreToads aw wow congratulations! That’s so good to hear thank you! Definitely will be booking an early scan this time around all going well. Yep going to get some more tests after work today so fingers crossed 🤞🏼🥰

Mummyme87 · 06/03/2023 12:21

@DollyGx that’s a very dark line! How many dpo are you? Definitely get a CB digital. Congratulations!

PeopleAreToads · 06/03/2023 10:27

@DollyGx thats similar to my easy@home test at about 12dpo, and yesterday I saw my babies heartbeat at 7+2 weeks, so fingers crossed for you and tentative congratulations!! That's a real line, it's not a squinted but do another test and allow yourself to believe it

DollyGx · 06/03/2023 10:19

@HannahLouD @Floralsandsmiles @Hopingforno2in2023 thanks ladies that’s reassuring! According to my app I’m 12 DPO, going to pick up some more tests after work just to be sure 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@DollyGx that is really dark!! How many dpo are you? Even when my frers with my chemical were quite dark my easy at homes never got that dark...
That's a really strong positive for easy at home! Especially if it's early days, Congratulations!! x

I agree with this @DollyGx! This looks amazing! Tentative congratulations! Xxx

Morning ladies, just got a potential positive preg test this morning but I’m taking it with a pinch of salt atm as I’m sure I’ve read that the easy@home tests can’t always be trusted?? Has anyone had an accurate test with them? The line was pretty dark (see photo) so I’m hoping it’s all good, but this is the first (potential) BFP after my MC in august so I think im just extra paranoid!!

@LeopardLover thank you for the message! 💕 I'm feeling ok thanks... Trying to just be positive and patient and know that it will happen eventually...
I'm 28, so not in the more "risky" age group, but who knows if it'll happen again 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do have a daughter who is 5 next month (with a previous fling) so I know I can carry to term. But I'm just so anxious now that it's happened once. I stupidly thought it wouldn't ever happen to me... As everyone does, I'm sure.
Just a waiting game now. I'm only on cd7 and I obviously have no clue if this cp is going to have messed with my cycle... I'll just have to wait and see and try to stop stressing! :)
Hope you and everyone else on this thread are doing well! x

LeopardLover · 05/03/2023 20:23

@HannahLouD How are you feeling? Sorry you've been through such a roller-coaster of emotions. Time will tell re getting that next BFP but hopefully it's not a long wait for you and this will be the only chemical. Sorry I've forgotten but how old are you? I couldn't enjoy my BFP until I was 13 weeks, so I can relate but fingers crossed that isn't the case for you. You aren't pathetic! I'd feel the same x

@Hopingforno2in2023 Bet you can't wait to get this show on the road! Good luck!

Jennifer89 · 05/03/2023 17:43

@Hopefulhoney6 thank you, fingers crossed all ok. Main reason was due to issues with very heavy period first couple days and the spotting concerns, I am only 5 months into ttc but GP was still happy to run tests based on my concerns. Had day 21 and awaiting results and have day 3 of period test due soon.
Also awaiting scan appointment..
At least the tests should show if there any concerns such as low progesterone.

Hopingforno2in2023 · 05/03/2023 17:05

I spot before my period too Jennifer and am expecting my blood tests this cycle to show that I have low progesterone. Fortunately in IVF I will be supplemented with progesterone until 12 weeks pregnant I believe. Definitely worth checking out.

CD1 today for me so calling the clinic tomorrow. Assume they will want me in on Tuesday for my first blood test.

Hopefulhoney6 · 05/03/2023 16:47

Ps @Jennifer89 good luck with the tests - what are you having them for?

Hopefulhoney6 · 05/03/2023 16:47

@Jennifer89 people say different things about 10 days being low. It’s on the lower end but it’s not 6 or 7. Mine is 10 and I got pregnant before…. Ended in a MC but I def still got pregnant and lots of people do!

Jennifer89 · 04/03/2023 21:39

@Hopefulhoney6 I have been tracking with clear blue tests and this month spotting started couple days ago so will be 4 days before AF if arrives Monday so works out then my luteal phase is around 10 days if based of when spotting starts. My period usually starts 14 days after ovulation pretty much on track.
Is 10 days very low? Hopefully blood tests and scan I am getting done can track if any underlining issues..

Hopefulhoney6 · 04/03/2023 16:01

@Jennifer89 …. Worth googling luteal phase defect and having a read then? Could ask about it alongside your tests?
With a 27 to 30 day cycle no set rule on when you ovulate. I use BBT to confirm my ovulation. I have a shortish one of 10 days. But OPKs are quite good to pinpoint it too if you know you are ovulating. Then you can work out how soon after ovulation you start spotting and whether it might be an issue.

Jennifer89 · 04/03/2023 15:08

@Hopefulhoney6 ah I see..I do spot on average 2-5 days before period. I am in process of getting some fertility blood tests and appointment for scan as my period is very heavy first couple days so just checking if anything underlying, couple years ago I had test that found very small 1cm fibroid. My cycle varies on average 27-30 days if that helps?..

Hopefulhoney6 · 04/03/2023 14:28

@Jennifer89 if you don’t fall pregnant within a few months might be worth getting there spotting checked out. It can be a sign of progesterone lowering and luteal phase defect (ie luteal phase is short which makes it harder to conceive). The GP would usually do some progesterone checks. My friend used to spot every month 5 days before AF, but actually she still conceived. So probably nothing…. But the spotting is usually a sign of progesterone having already fallen. So just one to watch (rather than worry you!) and if you have a 14 day luteal phase, then it being 12 would be no worries anyway :)

Jennifer89 · 04/03/2023 12:19

@CinderRosie yea that's true. Jan is otherwise generally boring 😅.. Also true about it being close to spring within a couple months..

CinderRosie · 04/03/2023 12:15

A January due date would be quite nice I think, something to look forward to after Christmas, and not long til the days start getting longer. We have no January birthdays in the family at all.
