Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

Got my first ever BFP last night at 14dpo!
I was staying with friends over Easter and had a couple drinks every day and even ate haggis which is full of vitamin A 🙈😂
Hope I've not done it too much damage!

Fingers crossed for everyone testing in the next few days 🤞

Oh wow! I’ve been off a few days and come back to see so many lovely BFPs! Congrats everyone.

I have just started my period so I’m out for another month. Onwards and upwards to cycle 4 and hopeful that it won’t be another 54 day cycle! I’ve been religious about taking all my vitamins - even on holiday which is unheard of for me- so I’m hopeful!

LeopardLover · 10/04/2023 21:23

@BatildaB You aren't out yet! You could've ovulated a little later maybe, I think that was the case when I got my BFP last time at 18DPO. I was also working on covering my asbestos floor last time soooo, it sorta leads onto the chemical chat! I think as long as you weren't the one using the spray it won't impact you at all! It seems all the data around toxins / chemicals is pretty new and although it's best for us to limit interaction with them, I think it's probably aimed at people (mostly women) using these chemicals day in and day out. I also understand your concern, but I wouldn't be worried personally.

I finished the Huberman Lab podcast (4.5 hours!? 😅) and I'd love to know if you made any tweaks to the supplements you take? He said you really need an Omega 3 with at least 1000mg of EPA but I checked mine and it's only 480g. I found a liquid version which is £47.50 (LOL) so thinking it over. I found the whole episode absolutely fascinating, especially the section on alcohol. Kicking myself for having a few cocktails the other week when I probably have a drink every few months normally! WAH. Also, I'm determined to start exercising to
improve my Mitochondria.

BatildaB · 10/04/2023 18:49

Congratulations on the lovely BFPs!

I think I was probably imagining symptoms as now 12dpo and still testing negative.

I have a mini AIBU, which may be PMS related - I'm feeling really upset that my partner used Roundup weedkiller in the garden today, then came into the house and said 'there was Roundup in the shed, I thought that was really bad? But I used it in the garden...' I've been trying to hard for months to be really healthy and avoid potentially toxic chemicals, and then he sprays poison all over the garden while I'm still not completely sure that I'm out for this cycle! On further questioning he said he only used four sprays on a few little plants by the shed, and when I asked him to he changed his trousers and thoroughly washed his hands. I've put box lids over it to protect the neighbour's cat. But am I being mad to be upset at all by that? Is there any risk, or is that when people are working with it or surrounded by it? I do know I have a tendency to health anxiety...

TrudyProud · 10/04/2023 11:26

Hi ladies, I'm back! For those who've gotten their BFPs - congratulations! For those still waiting- 🤞🏾🤞🏾and baby dust.

I've just finished my period so this will be cycle 1 of TTC DC#2. Not expecting to get as much baby dancing done as we did with DD but thankfully DH and I overlap WFH 3 days a week so worse case scenario we'll definitely get some daytime 💃🏾 🤣. This time around we've decided No OPKs (I'm BF but confirmed last cycle I am ovulating the same as pre DC 🙌🏾) unless we've not got our BFP by the summer. Last time we conceived cycle one so 🤞🏾.

Let the games begin

LongDistanceLife · 10/04/2023 10:30

I’m on CD6 of my first cycle and excited to start trying! My coil came out in February and I wasn’t planning on doing any ovulation tests, just hoping for the best.

GingerJanee · 09/04/2023 15:20

Aw how lovely is that 2 Christmas babies! 🥰 it really doesn’t feel long at all!

Yes, I think I’ll tell my parents this week because worse case scenario happens I’d run to them anyway but everyone else I’ll wait as close to 12 weeks and the scan as possible.

We’ve a big friends wedding the last weekend of May in Portugal (around 11 weeks stage) and I’m not sure how I’m going to handle it yet. I’ll either have to tell a few friends to help hide it or try and hide it ourselves drinking sprite and pretending but it wouldn’t be the most relaxing week having to do that. I think I’ll definitely book in for a private early scan around 8 weeks and decide from there what to do. 🙈🙈

NoodleQueen90 · 09/04/2023 15:07

@GingerJanee yay! I know, my niece was a Christmas baby (3.5 weeks early) so thinking we could end up with 2 in the family 😂 Insane to think they'll be here this year, it doesn't feel long away at all.
I haven't done that yet, going to give myself a few days for it all to sink in and then I'll contact the midwives. Are you telling any close family/friends early?

GingerJanee · 09/04/2023 13:40

@NoodleQueen90 So am I! How exciting same due date, worried already I’ll go over 😂 this is my first so December will be a very exciting month. I referred myself to midwife services this morning, probably too early, but I’d rather be on their books than not.

@Mushroo I remember you too thank you so much, over the moon with a BFP for Easter!

CinderRosie · 09/04/2023 11:44

Congratulations for all three BFPs!

Welcome @redyellowpinkbluegreen you’re the same as me, hoping to TTC from next cycle. Currently CD17 and this was our last month of using condoms.

NoodleQueen90 · 09/04/2023 11:44

Thanks @GingerJanee congratulations to you too 🎉
Hope everything goes well for us both. Have you checked your estimated due date? Mine is 14th December.

Mushroo · 09/04/2023 11:19

GingerJanee · 09/04/2023 10:08

He couldn’t believe it, managed to keep it a whole 24 hours before I blurted it out 😂

Several additional tests later I think it’s finally sank in a little, wishing baby dust for everyone waiting to test and those who are trying to conceive.

This was our fifth cycle and genuinely not our best effort with OPKs and BD so although very grateful I am very shocked this was the month!

Huge congrats! I remember you from a few other threads as well, so glad you’ve got your BFP!!!!

Hopingforno2in2023 · 09/04/2023 11:17

Happy Easter all! Let’s hope that by next Easter we are all holding our babies or pregnant :)

LeopardLover · 09/04/2023 11:04

@NoodleQueen90 Thank you for the positive vibes!!

@GingerJanee Oh that's so sweet. I love seeing it on a Clear Blue! Hope your pregnancy goes well. I can't wait to be pregnant again - I loved it!

@NoodleQueen90 congratulations!

9dpo here with nothing to report. No cm, normal sore boobs. Still holding out

NoodleQueen90 · 09/04/2023 07:21

LeopardLover · 09/04/2023 07:12

@GingerJanee How did your OH take it? ❤️

@BatildaB we're away for a wedding this weekend and I started the Huberman podcast late Friday night. Wow, it's so interesting! I thought I knew a lot about ovulation/ the menstrual cycle but obviously not. I'll probably need to listen to it at least twice! And slow the speed down as he speaks so quickly. But it's a great podcast, thanks for sharing!

LeopardLover · 09/04/2023 07:07

@NoodleQueen90 What a lovely start to the day! Congratulations 🎊
