Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

Weird one this month... looking for some guidance.... I have had egg white CM from yesterday afternoon and still this morning but no peak yet :/ is this normal?
Ovulation was due on the app today (CD17)

I have a temp monitor but havnt started tracking yet because I have broken sleep and wake up at different times it's been hard to implement .

I have a drs appointment Friday to discuss recent bloods and a scan BUT I think I got the progesterone test to late - it was also hard to pin point as my periods different in cycle length (29-34 days) and I came on my period 6 days after this blood test. I think it's suppose to be 7 days prior... so annoying and I am now not sure if that's going to tell if I ovulated correctly or not.

any thoughts? 😀

Hi @CoffeeMama1 I’ve been on seven seas now for around 6 months and definitely do agree the first 3 cycles I found came early/delayed etc which was very frustrating but it did settle down after this.

I’m still finishing up my pack as it can used within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy which I liked because it means you’re not spending more money on additional supplements! I have bought omega, folic acid and vitamin D supplements for when this pack ends but seven seas worked for me and I loved how small the tablets were. Not sure if this is much help but just letting you know it does settle after a while 😊

LongDistanceLife · 14/04/2023 14:17

Thanks all. I’ve now got some ovulation tests which have calmed me down, I guess it’s having a little more knowledge/ control.

Been much more disciplined today with focussing on the things which need to be focussed on and am feeling better. I went to yoga last night and the hour of forced mindfulness helped me to get out of the rut of obsessing.

I work as a lecturer and a lot of my job means I need to really concentrate, it hasn’t been going well the last few days!

LeopardLover · 13/04/2023 20:42

@HannahLouD That's understandable. I remember Googling every symptom! 😅 Keep us updated 😊

@abilouise93 Let me know what you thought of the podcast! Shame your practice has closed but I'm sure you could find another good one. 😊 Hahaha I know what you mean. My husband only takes the one but complains - lol!

@BatildaB Ooh, eating yams or taking yam supplements? I always wanted twins but it would mean a lot of big changes now we already have a little one... And a twin pregnancy is so risky! But I'd still love it haha.

@xTinkerbell You are a super mum haha! I love you're going for number 3. Fingers crossed you don't have to wait too long!

@LongDistanceLife Oh I know I'll be the same. Love the podcast recommendation - it's just good to keep super busy!

@TrudyProud Fingers crossed for you!!

@CoffeeMama1 Hm, sorry to hear about your cycles! I hope they start to regulate. I remember reading that about seven seas. How long have you been taking them? Maybe things will settle soon!

CoffeeMama1 · 13/04/2023 19:24

Hi everyone! Haven't fully caught up on the thread but will do so asap. Currently TTC no2, DD is 18mo and I'm wishing we hadn't waited so long to be honest. My cycles are all over the place, only came back about 6 months ago and in that time I've only had 3 cycles, and currently on my longest one yet 39days+. It's so frustrating because I just want to start the next cycle to try again. I'm taking the Seven Seas Trying to Conceive tablets as they worked well last time but I think I remember something about them messing with some people's cycles so maybe it's worth stopping them. Hope everyone is doing well x

I was feeling so relaxed and patient before we started but I am at the beginning of the first cycle and I already feel obsessive. I’m on cycle day 9, not even in the two week wait yet, and the days are crawling by!

Any tips to keep your mind off of TTC and remain focussed on important things like work and caring for your children 😬. I need to get on top of this because it may take a while, I’m in my 30s now and we already know that my partner has low sperm morphology.

Ha, I know that feeling. CD7 over here. DTD yesterday and already feeling twinges 🤣. Expecting my peak Sunday -Monday but in the meantime I've work, DD birthday party, running a household and finding the energy to DTD more often to get the most (a BFP 🤞🏾) out of TTC cycle 1

abilouise93 · 13/04/2023 15:03

@LongDistanceLife I find a good podcast always helps.
with it being summer soon I’m hoping being outdoors walking will help distract too.

As I know I get way too obsessive on LH strips etc.

@BatildaB I love the two year age gap between my two and think if I waited too long to have a third I’d end up not doing it 😂

No problems with first two pregnancies. Conceived my first in month 1 and second in month 4 of trying.

I never bothered with any LH and temp tracking with them but now trying to get some understanding of my cycle before TTC again so on month 2 of temp tracking now

BatildaB · 13/04/2023 11:13

@xTinkerbell Hi, that sounds a lovely plan to have three so close in age. I have quite short cycles too, around 24-25 days. I didn't track when I was younger, but I think I've always been close to that, always felt like the next period arrives when the last has barely ended.. Did you find it caused any problems with the first two pregnancies? I'm going to start tracking with temperature and LH tests properly from this cycle to get more of an idea of how long the different phases are.

@LeopardLover we're on the same supplement regimen then I think, except that I'm also taking yam for the first two weeks of my cycle. I think that began with the chat on this thread months ago - I saw it can increase twins, but it looks like it also just generally supports ovulation and healthy CM. Don't know if I'll wish I hadn't taken it if I do conceive twins!

abilouise93 · 13/04/2023 08:40

@LeopardLover its tonight’s listen!

I did have it briefly for morning sickness when I was 8/9 weeks last time but not fertility related. I would have tried anything to get rid of the sickness lol. That practise has subsequently closed!

I am taking ubiquinol which has omega 3 included it in too but probably not to the required dosage. Feel like we could all be rattles with these vitamins!

xTinkerbell · 12/04/2023 19:34

Can I join? Not currently TTC but planning to in June.

Have a three year old and a 15 month old.

concerned my short cycles (22-24 days)

HannahLouD · 12/04/2023 18:31

@LeopardLover thank you! 💕 Hope you're doing good too!
Trying my best to not worry, but still finding myself thinking the worst for literally no reason 🙄🙃 just a waiting game now 🤞x

LeopardLover · 12/04/2023 18:05

@HannahLouD Glad you're doing well ❤️ not long until that first scan! X

LeopardLover · 12/04/2023 18:05

@abilouise93 the podcast was fascinating. I am so intrigued by acupuncture! I think a friend had it during pregnancy so I should probably ask her for the recommendation. I might give myself 6 months TTC first 😊 feeling excited to start trying in May!

BatildaB · 12/04/2023 16:11

@LeopardLover Sorry slow reply, took some time off my laptop over Easter. Am definitely out now, I think the weedkiller emotions were definitely PMS!

I need to restock on Omega 3 since listening to the podcast - I'm vegetarian so am going to settle for an algae oil with any EPA at all, which my last one didn't. It's tricky getting the balance of doing all the right things without becoming obsessive and stressed isn't it... I'm sure there were some mood benefits to the cocktails! I also need to start exercising again, I find it hard to do regular moderate exercise rather than go all out one week and nothing at all the next. What exercise will you do? During lockdown I did 10 minutes of crazed solo kitchen dancing every day, I might try and reinstate that plus some yoga and pilates videos..

Oh bless you!! Totally understandable though. Onto the next cycle. 💪🏻

I'm actually a veggie too but I've decided to YOLO it with my Omega 3 and pregnancy vits. I didn't last time but I also secretly ate tuna during pregnancy (my guilty secret) so decided to just go with non-veggie Omega 3 this time haha. I also think I'm going to splurge the cash once my current supply ends because I have an Amazon voucher.

I know what you mean about not obsessing, I'm not going to try any of the other vitamins for now, I'm just happy with my regular conception vits, Ubiquinol and Omega 3 for now. Oh I love kitchen dancing!! I also really want to start pilates. I think I'm just going to sign up to FIIT again and ease myself back into things. I have a gym membership but never have time to go (it's not near me) 😅.

@CRbear haha thank you!! Aware I'm totally loopy 🙃🤦🏻‍♀️ nearly 6 weeks so trying my best to relax now 🤞 hope you're doing good! x

CRbear · 12/04/2023 14:41

Love a bit of science @HannahLouD and very glad you’re starting to get more comfortable with this pregnancy! Happy for you!

HannahLouD · 11/04/2023 15:17

Hey all, congrats to all those who have got their bfps recently! ✨🤞
And good luck to all those still waiting and waiting to try soon!

Just wanted to share... (And I wish I had have just listened to everyone and taken their advice, but here we are)... I'm 24dpo today (or 5+3 weeks) I had 3 easy at home ics left in a drawer and I wanted to get rid of them... So I just peed in a cup and did one aha... Didn't know what to do with the last 2 so added about 50% water to the cup and dipped one, then filled the cup to the top (probably about 70% water at this point and dipped the last one) these are the results in that order... I now know that once you get a dye stealer, you really should stop testing... They can't get any darker! 😅 I am officially out of tests so finally no more poas for me! Just going to keep my fingers crossed now and wait 🤞

I guess the take home here is, listen to people when they tell you to stop poas! It's not going to help your anxiety and it's not going to change anything! 🙈

Lots of love ladies and thank you for all the help and advice and for just being there for me to rant and cry at! 🤍✨x

@LeopardLover thanks for the welcome.

Looking forward to listening to the podcast. Seeing if I need to tweak anything I currently take.

do you know anyone or have Accupuncture? I did last time between my loss and then my DD till I hit 12 weeks. Considering starting now again.

@AlbaGracie massive congrats. 🎉

LeopardLover · 11/04/2023 13:36

@CRbear Fingers crossed for a nice regular cycle this month!

@AlbaGracie Congratulations - such great news! I've had a few friends drink heavily before finding out (🙈) and all was well 😊❤️

@Farmgirl12 Welcome! So sorry to hear about your loss. 😔 Fingers crossed you don't have to wait too much longer for another BFP. Are you taking supplements and doing all the optimisation you can?

@abilouise93 Welcome!! 💜

abilouise93 · 11/04/2023 11:21

Hi

May I join too please? I’m starting to try for baby 2. DD is 20months and I’ve just turned 30.

Anxious to start again. Think we missed ovulation this month due to hubby on a stag. Which has annoyed me but trying not too stress too much.

Farmgirl12 · 11/04/2023 10:34

Hey lovely ladies

AlbaGracie · 11/04/2023 10:29

AlbaGracie · 11/04/2023 10:28

Got my first ever BFP last night at 14dpo!
I was staying with friends over Easter and had a couple drinks every day and even ate haggis which is full of vitamin A 🙈😂
Hope I've not done it too much damage!

Fingers crossed for everyone testing in the next few days 🤞

I meant 13dpo. Can't you tell I couldnt sleep a wink last night 😂
