Hey!! Yeah I defo think I missed it! Still will try in case the window is still open 👐 I took another test at noon and was definitely lighter. Will keep checking a bit more, my app still claims my ovulation day is tomorrow even after changing the parameters (Flo). I would appreciate any advice on any other app that works better for this, I just paid the yearly subscription but was super cheap (11£/year over Saint Valentine's sale) so won't cry if I lose it. I'm budgeting but can use my Netflix money for TTC 🤣🤣

I add pic. Hopefully the GP could give us a push

@Edinnewmum Welcome! If you are just coming off the pill then it will take a while for your cycle to regulate but you can start tracking your period, and take any supplements you want to take (pre natal as a minimum) as they take a few months to build up in your system. If you want to start trying right away then I would use ovulation strips, be aware you may not see any patterns as such for the first few months after the pill but it will help you catch ovulation and time your efforts. Best to do the deed in days leading up to, and the day of ovulation. Premom is a good app which analyses your OPK strips and saves them so you can see the progression. One step/ easy at home on amazon are cheap strips that are easy to use.

Best of luck! any questions, please ask, there are lots of knowledeable people on here.

TunnocksTCake · 28/02/2023 14:42

@GeekyMina You may have missed it, it did look like it was going up on the previous one but I would keep testing - I think with strips you are better off doing it in the afternoon/ evening rather than the morning as the peak usually happens overnight but takes a while to shwo in urine. If youre new to it just keep testing until it completely disappears then over afew months you will have an idea of patterns. Good luck with Drs.

Hi, not sure if I’ve picked the right thread to post in as new here.

TTC first baby this year, 37 years old and been on the pill for 19 years! Mini pill for the last 7 of those. Took my last one yesterday.

Looking for some advice on where to start really, tracking periods, ovulation, best apps, supplements etc.

Any advice for a new start would be so greatly welcome ❤️

GeekyMina · 28/02/2023 11:27

Hey! Thanks, unfortunately I saw your message late and only tested once yesterday. I tested again this morning and is not as dark I think (judge yourself), maybe I'm going crazy. Woke up with a terrible headache and photosensitivity and work it's making it worse. Will test again at lunch. I felt some mild cramps yesterday and disch. was watery. Did I miss my ovulation? 😭

Thanks for your guidance!! 💕

Eeeeesh I’m so nervous and excited for us both. Now need to try and distract ourselves for 24 hours. Let’s keep in touch. Xxx

TunnocksTCake · 28/02/2023 10:35

@Peasinapod1 I feel almost the same as you! Boobs are solid too, have been hurting a lot over the weekend and that has eased which worried me but they are definitely bigger. Feel nauseous on and off, tired, and have the same CM. I had 3 mcs when trying for my dd so super cautious but the symptoms do seem to be increasing (maybe it's in my head?!)
I will test again in the morning too 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Peasinapod1 · 28/02/2023 10:01

@TunnocksTCake I have everything crossed for you! I haven’t tested again but have a couple of tests arriving today and will test tomorrow AM with FMU. AF was due yesterday. My boobs have been sore today, milky white cm and hints of nausea. I’m nervous of another chemical and have also had a mc previously so don’t want to get ahead of myself… these symptoms could be AF related I know…

how are you feeling? X

TunnocksTCake · 28/02/2023 09:28

@Peasinapod1 have you tested again? I had a similar thing, faint line yesterday day before af due and I'm waiting til tomorrow to test again...

TunnocksTCake · 28/02/2023 09:27

@Ttcsecond you're still early! Test again in a few days but dont assume youre out yet, you could easily have only implanted yesterday.

Ttcsecond · 28/02/2023 08:55

I think I’m 11dpo today. Saw the slightest shadow on my easy at home test so took a FRER and again got a faint line. But I think it should be darker by now so either false positive or another chemical.

ukMummyof1 · 28/02/2023 07:18

@GeekyMina it's defo getting darker!! Make sure you try and test now about 3 times a day because they can go positive and then back to negative within just half a day, sending baby dust xxx

Hi ! Sorry I was off this weekend. We did a home insemination last night, although my bf sperm is very little (way less than I remember, could stress affect the amount of stress they produce?).

I keep testing in the mornings, today the line has been darker but not so much to say it's a positive (see below, I'm putting a chart 📈 together and all 🤭). My predicted ovulation day is Wednesday and my breasts are already swollen and cramping xS.

Will keep recording all and hopefully by the time we see our GP we can present all these tests and app info.

Hi ladies I hope you don’t mind me joining, right at the end of the month!

we are trying to conceive #3 18 months now, had a chemical last month. I have not learnt my lesson and POAS today, day before AF due. Silly I know but now I’m driving myself crazy looking at what is probably just a shadow… can anyone see what I see? It’s only there in certain lights, I know I know (covers face).

thank you so much and baby dust to you all (currently reading through all your stories but wishing everyone the best for the next few days xxx)

I can see this @Peasinapod1! Xx

Congratulations to the positives! And best of luck to everyone else.

We only managed to dtd once in my ovulation window. It was day before ovulation was supposedly due so you never know but not feeling hopeful like last month. I say supposedly as the ovulation test came up with an error with my sample so I’m not sure exactly. Anyway going to stay away from these threads until AF due and fingers crossed will be joining the November group in pregnancy but like I said not so hopeful.

ukMummyof1 · 25/02/2023 18:15

It doesn't look extremely faint so it may be that ovulation is coming up. Do you test every month to know that you are ovulating? If you search on google 'ovulation line progression' this will give you a good idea!
Good luck on your appointment, is that to talk about next steps? I've heard of some people going on something called clomid to help you ovulate (I think!- may be wrong)... so may be worth mentioning that when you are there xx

@GeekyMina welcome to the club!!
Sadly that doesn't look positive yet, the test line should be as dark or darker than the control line.. do you know roughly when you ovulate? I usually know when to test as I get quite a lot of EWCM if thats any advice on what to look out for xxx

Thanks so much! I have changed it to non positive on my app and go with the original ovulation day it calculates, just made another test and looks the same. I wished I could find another way to figure it out but my cycles are 23-35 days long, and my periods are lasting 9-10 days now, I will try the tests this month, if nothing happens I guess we'll figure it out the next one.

We also have a GP appointment on March 6th to talk about this, it's been 9 months trying now 😰

Hi everyone! Looking for advice here, as I've never done any ovulation test before (PCOS) and I don't know if this could lead to error. I clearly see a second line, has taken the pic with the test instructions in the background, hopefully it can be clearly seen.

Instructions says negative as it is faint but I'm about to introduce the info on an app to check the process and I'm doubting, I would consider positive as it is line, right? Peak ovulation calculation would change from next Wednesday to tomorrow if I introduce "positive".

We got a home insemination kit to try ourselves this way and we want to optimize the time, it is night here so was planning on testing again in the morning and check of it's darker then and go for it.

What do you all think?

PS: Congrats to all the positives around!! 💕💕

@Ttcsecond that's good about your temp still being up! And being only 7/8 you are far from out yet, I didn't get my positive on a cheapy at 11dpo (not sure if they are any different though) xx

OP posts:
Ttcsecond · 24/02/2023 10:41

Caved and took a FRER test today at 7/8dpo, obviously it was negative. I don’t have any symptoms at all so really don’t think this is my month sadly. Not sure if I can 7 or 8 dpo as my temp dropped on the same day as my LH peak (new to BBT tracking). My temp is still high but hard to stay positive. Anyone else around the same dpo?

Just to update- Had my scan and there was nothing there which has really confused me as OPKs were getting darker 😔

last week it looked like one was growing but this week absolutely nothing. I came away so disheartened and upset but know I really need to trust my body and timing etc.

I have to go back in a week for another scan and if nothing then begin a new round with 7.5mg Letrozole

Is there any chance you could have already ovulated before your scan? Xx
