Still BFN at 10 dpo, due af in a couple of days so was hoping that if it was going to be positive then it would have by now... or is that just hopefully thinking? Xx

Hi! I’m just coming to the end of my period on cycle 3 of TTC, so soon to be ovulating! I have a 10-11 day luteal phase and 25-26 day cycle. Worried it will be harder to conceive. Any success stories out there? Both myself and DH are 31.

Ttcsecond · 16/02/2023 16:47

@TunnocksTCake
Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. I did indeed get my solid smiley this morning. Hoping to dtd tonight although both exhausted from the last week of it as thought my peak would be earlier.

TunnocksTCake · 16/02/2023 15:47

@Ttcsecond I had this, because you're only supposed to test with the cb ones in the morning, I had a flashing smiley in the morning but OPK was v strong if not positive that afternoon then CB was peak the next day, so hopefully you'll get peak tomorrow it just wasn't strong enough this morning.
Don't know why you're supposed to use them in the morning but either way definitely try to dtd tonight

Ttcsecond · 15/02/2023 16:16

congrats to all those who have had their BFP.
I got another flashing smiley this morning on CD19 but just used a cheap test and got this. Do you guys think this is my peak? It’s two days late so hoping it is.
Also does anyone use the CB digital ovulation tests and test in the morning and evening or just the morning. Thank you x

Tested this morning at 8dpo and BFN, expected as I'm so early but I am getting so impatient for a second line😩

@RaindropsOnRoses22 congrats.
Surreal day for us, we had an offer accepted on a house as well about 4 hours ago

Ttcpph · 14/02/2023 17:08

@RaindropsOnRoses22 tentative congratulations to you 💕 fingers crossed you have a smooth and successful pregnancy 💕

TunnocksTCake · 14/02/2023 16:36

Wow congratulations to those with BFPs😀What a valentines day surprise!!
@ukMummyof1 I am going to be in a similar situation next Friday and I think I will test at 10dpo then if nothing shows it will likely be too early for the alcohol to make a difference anyway - but just dont go mental! So many people drink in the 2ww and are absolutely fine so I wouldn't worry about it. Or can you drive/ say you have to get up early/ recovering from stomach bug?

I'm just starting my 2ww - anyone else? Trying to weigh up the merits of dtd again tonight, had peak opk on Sunday so could have O'd yesterday or could still be today I guess? So exhausted though, this would be the 4th day in a row!!

@GeekyMina welcome!

I don't know much about the referral/gp type stuff as yet as we are still relatively early in our ttc journey but I just wanted to say welcome.
can totally relate to the lack of labido on sertraline. I was on it a few years back and came off it eventually partly for that reason!

I don't know much about fertility treatments but with low sperm count could IUI or ICSI be an option for you?

Thanks for the warm welcome @Ttcpph <3

I've been taking Folid Acid for years as it helped with my PCOS symptoms and now we are both taking Pregnacare vitamins, as adviced by our GP. We also went through a fertility test back on Summer 2020 to see our possibilities, but because of Covid we delayed TTC by 2 years. I've been thinking about home insemination, I've seen kits online but ovulation strips don't work on me and I'm not sure if trying ourselves without doctor supervision would be a good idea. Just thought if the is a low count at least give it a push ourselves with the kit but we never end up buying it. Anyone around has tried it?

Otherwise you're correct, IUI is one of the options we have strongly considered.

Hi there! Just created the account after googling this topic for the thousand time. I'm TTC since last June, bf has low sperm count and in between I've been on Sertraline for about 6 months (libido, where?). Now I've withdrawing from it and back to myself, I suffer PCOS and got unexpectedly pregnant Dec 2018, miscarried Jan 2019. We're lost of ideas at this point, thinking on booking GP appointment to seek profesional help before going to fertility clinic, I'm 37 at this point. I'm losing all hope at this point.

Thewheelweavesasthewheelwills · 14/02/2023 11:46

@ukMummyof1 If they are decent friends they will just let it go under the radar. I've had friends over the years 'on antibiotics', driving, not feeling it, health kick. What ever they want to say. We all knew they were early pregnancy but we said nothing

VictoriaBlossom · 14/02/2023 10:18

@ukMummyof1 thank you. Feel very uneasy after the mmc. But what will be will be eh!
Going back to your post this morning. I had a friend who literally spent weeks on the piss, went to Ibiza, did a load of drugs and her DS is 7 now.
She didn't know she was pregnant til she was 3 months

ukMummyof1 · 14/02/2023 10:16

Ttcpph · 14/02/2023 09:48

@ukMummyof1
Could you go out but not drink? Say you are recovering from an iffy tummy. (I personally think the antibiotic excuse everyone comes out with is a load of shit as you can drink on antibiotics and it basically gives away to everyone that you're pregnant/trying in my opinion!)

im still holding off from testing 8DPO.
I've convinced myself I am pg so I can't handle the disappointment tbh... would rather hold out as long as possible

It was arranged a few weeks back but to bars and then they want to go to a club I think, I think I might just make up the old 'bug' fib😬
