TWW 1dpo today - who's with me?

Hello!

Im just at the start of my TWW!

TTC cycle 1 (unofficially 6months)
Baby number 2 (DD is 2.5yrs old)
CD 18
Cycle length approx 25-29days long
1DPO today
AF due approx 31/1

Me and DH have been unofficially TTC baby number 2 for about 6months, so basically not been using any protection but not tracking my cycles either and just leaving it up to fate. However this month I've been doing OPKs and got a positive test on Wednesday and then a spike in my BBT this morning so pretty sure I can pin point my ovulation at some point yesterday putting me at about 1dpo today! DH and I have been DTD regularly throughout my fertile window this month so feeling hopeful!

Who wants to join me for the TWW?

@Carysmatic AF has come this morning full force but something has definitely happened this month because I never ever get that type of blood stained CM prior to it it was so weird.
Ah well ladies, onto the next cycle x

@MrsSB2023 I can't really remember when I had my CP, it was nearly 4years ago now. I do know it was longer than my usual AF which is normally 4days but this was like a 7day bleed. I think maybe it was more like spotting in the beginning and then got progressively worse over a couple of days, I don't remember it being mixed with a lot of CM or jelly like though. But I guess everyone is different. It's definitely not like implantation bleeding? Or have tests turned to BFNs?

@Carysmatic sorry to hear AF turned up for you.

I’m feeling ok today but wanted to ask. Those who’ve had CPs, what was your period like when it started? Today I’ve had AF cramps all day and I’ve been the toilet and have loads of thick jelly like CM with pink tinged in it. Normally when AF starts it’s just brown/red straight away and I certainly don’t have any discharge at all I’m normally really dry.
Is this normal?
I was also thinking about a December birthday being a pain but don’t think I can afford to be picky 😂

@Carysmatic I’d be trying to avoid a December baby too! And February because there’s basically a birthday every day for me there 🤣
but then don’t want to be too picky and not sure how I’d feel not ‘trying’ and wasting an egg when I really want a baby 🤦‍♀️ haha how the mind works

So no, I have no December birthdays 🤣🤣🤣 but they're all grouped into those 5 months, which can be quite intense

My children's birthdays are 1 in October, 2 in early Jan and 1 in Feb. It definitely feels like a bit of a pain to me, but they don't mind at all.

Would it be silly of me to say that if we don't succeed next cycle with a Nov due date that I'd give the next cycle a rest to avoid having a December baby? I don't think I've met anyone with a December birthday who doesn't complain about how close to Christmas it is! Any of you lot have December birthdays or little ones or partners with December birthday or have any strong feelings on it?

Can feel AF coming here too. I’ve got a great list of BFN symptoms to use going forward to stop me getting excited!

@Carysmatic Uch it’s so hard, another bfn today for me, due AF on Friday so might hold off testing now it’s not fun anymore!

@MrsSB2023 @Carysmatic really sorry to hear that ladies :( this is why I’m worried about getting excited or even hopeful. It’s really difficult going through the tww like this just trying to not get too invested because as much as we want it, the disappointment can be so upsetting.

It’s only my second cycle but my first cycle I really believed I was pg with all the symptoms I got, only to find out it’s negative. Worst feeling ever. I’m scared to test early bc of this too and just sort of discount any symptom I get…

keep your chin up though, there’s always next month ❤️ Only means you’re getting closer and closer. I think it’s special that we get to share these experiences with each other and realise how common it is!

Well ladies that's me out! No need for me to test in the morning as AF has just showed up. Only light at the minute but I'm sure it'll be heavier come the morning. Well at least I didn't waist one of my FRER tests on what would have been a BFN! Maybe next month. Sending lots of baby dust to everyone who will be resting in the next few days! If not maybe I'll see you guys back here in a couple of weeks for another TWW!

@MrsSB2023 so sorry 😞 this is what happened to me in November, I never got ‘excited’ because the lines didn’t get much darker and then eventually went and I got my period. Such a nightmare, hope you feel better soon and get your bfp xx

Thanks @Carysmatic I don’t think we DTD in time to catch ovulation as hubby was away wasn’t he but the symptoms are so convincing. Ah well at least I’ve got an idea of what a normal month looks like and I can properly prepare for next month now. Really hope AF stays away for you xx

Oh @MrsSB2023 I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds like you've maybe had a chemical pregnancy. The fact that you had multiple faint positives on different brands probably means that there was some hcg in your urine at some point. TTC is definitely a mind f**k, don't blame you for taking a break. Take care and hope to hear from you soon with a BFP in the not too distant future Flowers✨

Hi guys

Well today I’ve felt really emotional and had proper AF type cramps along with some brown tinged discharge so I caved and tested.
It’s a BFN. The others must’ve been evap lines, the one on the FRER was so convincing 😞
Never testing early again!
Feel awful, I’m going to give the TTC stuff a break for a bit because it’s not doing my mental health any good constantly thinking of it but I’ll check back in with you all soon. Baby dust to you all xx

@Peachyplumm thanks I'm hoping so but also experiencing lots of lower back pain and cramping which is all screaming AF to me. Though saying that when I fell PG with DD I was also convinced AF was about to show and then got my BFP so who knows. Will do a FRER test with FMU tomorrow and then will know for sure

@Carysmatic thanks! I tend to get a lot of migraines around my period time as well, had it since I was a teen. Last time I was pregnant, I had a really bad migraine just the same as before AF and next day I started implantation bleed. At the time I thought it was my actual AF but it never progressed passed spotting so a few days later I did a test and was positive. So even if that’s a symptom you normally get, there’s still hope it could be due to something else. :)

@Peachyplumm that all sounds really promising, I remember having lots of CM in the early days before I found I was PG with DD! Fingers crossed for you.

I always get a headache either a few days before or the day before AF starts and I'm now just starting to get that very familiar headache. I think she's coming any day now 😟

I’m 2/3dpo today. Really weird but no sore breasts or any of my usual symptoms. But I’ve had cramps all night and like a full heavy feeling in my uterus, right in the center. Also been weirdly wet. Like usually I don’t have any CM at all aside from before my period when it’s thick and creamy, but right now it’s feeling almost like egg white still. And like a lot of it? I don’t even get that when ovulating. Checked my cervix and it’s too high to even feel. Idk what’s going on

aside from that I have a spot, never get spots either. Probs just hormone

@MrsSB2023 I think that’s totally normal to feel that way but don’t know how you’re holding off! 😂

I’m currently 5dpo and feel… nothing!
I don’t mean pregnancy wise as obviously that’s way too early 😂 but usually I get symptoms in the tww and write them down by day to keep track but honestly feeling 100% normal. Only tiny thing I’ve noticed is still quite wet down there (tmi sorry) but how weird!
last month I had loads of symptoms and thought I was pregnant, mad how our bodies can vary so much each month! 🙈x

Morning girls

I haven’t tested this morning, it’s like I’ve got a block on testing because I’m scared of the result being negative, is that normal ?? Hubby is away in London until Wednesday so I don’t have him here to lean on if it is. Definitely going to wait until Wednesday morning I think.

@Carysmatic you’ve done well not to test! Fingers crossed the back pain isn’t AF. Have a lovely day resting whilst you can. I had very weird dreams last night too!

@Myperfectchaos sorry to hear that, BFNs are awful. The whole ttc thing is a massive mind f*ck isn’t it!

@Carysmatic I’m 10 dpo just using easy at home strips so I’ve ordered frer to take tomorrow and see what happens from there!

I’ve been having vivid dreams, lots of twinges etc and some cramping but nothing that’s out of the norm for AF coming too. Annoying

Managed to hold off on testing with FMU this morning! Going to wait until tomorrow I think. I had a really vivid dream last night that I had a BFP! Hoping it wasn't just a dream 😂

Woken up this morning feeling really hungry and with a really bad lower back ache which to be honest is a real sign of AF for me. But who knows I could be wrong, as apparently it's a sign of early pregnancy too 🙃 symptoms of AF and early PG are too bloody similar! It's so confusing!

Sorry to hear about your BFN @Myperfectchaos how many DPO are you now? I'm CD28 and 11DPO, thinking of taking a FREF test tomorrow with FMU if that's negative then I'm pretty certain I'm out for this month.

I'm off work today as tonsillitis is still really nasty, DD is at nursery so I'm just going to have a chilled and hopefully restful day and also try not to think about POAS!!
