Cramps and still pregnant? 🥺

Hi everyone. Clutching at straws a little here but AF is due anytime between now & Saturday. I’ve have period type cramps all day but nothing has arrived yet. Not sure exactly when I ovulated but the app predicts around 4th Jan. We DTD loads with being off work for Christmas so I was hoping this would be the month 🥺

Anyway my question is.. has anyone had AF type cramps around the time it would be due and still had a BFP? I wanted to hold off testing until the weekend if possible as I had a chemical in November so promised myself I wouldn’t test early again.. until I’d missed AF.

I know it’s probably the inevitable and AF will arrive tomorrow but just keen to hear from anyone who’d had cramps, though AF was coming and was actually pregnant (if that’s even a thing!!)

hows everyone doing? I know im late on this post, currently 11dpo but been cramping for over a week think af is imminent now but still trying to be hopeful.

Just to say I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and had terrible cramping from about 4 weeks. I even had a short light bleed which I thought was AF just being weird and late because I tested negative the day it started. Midwife now thinks that was implantation bleed. Finally tested at 7 weeks as ccramping ouldn't stop and had dreadful ongoing nausea. cramping is less now but still very much there.

Il second that, I even brought tampons ready for when af came the cramps was identical to af! I think my sore boobs straight after ovulation gave it away for me!

@Butterflygirl23 it was the boobs that gave it away when i fell pregnant with ds 2 from about a week before my period was due. Near enough doubled in size and were agony lol

@Laul89 @Butterflygirl23 I'm 14dpo today and did a 10miu test this morning and negative so wasn't my month! SO confusing, I was absolutely convinced!

Congratulations!! I think I’m out. This is going to be TMI Had some very very light spotting mixed with Cm from Friday-Sunday trace amounts, Sunday morning I had a big blob of Cm and then nothing so I was hoping it was implantation. Today it was more I had to wear a pants liner but only filled one.. Does anyone else thing I’m out as well??? I have been having nausea, cramps , fatigue and breast pain still.

@Butterflygirl23 I’m happy to hear you can get some food in you. Here are my symptoms I posted it before so I’m just going to quote it instead of typing again.

This thread is giving me hope, I am 12dpo and have had loads of cramps the last 2 days which is much earlier than I would usually get af type cramps. Also had on off boob symptoms, nausea and bloat but not had my usual af moodswings...

Hey @Justbelieve25 I'm doing ok thank you, my sickness has seemed to calm down I'm managing to keep food down now lol I I took a clear blue digital last night just for reassure said 2-3 weeks so it's right I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. Do you have symptoms or is it just the bleed that's made you question it? X

Hey just wondering how everyone is doing? My bleeding stopped today so I only bled for 3 days and that extremely short for me so I’m going to take a test either tomorrow or Friday.

@Butterflygirl23 lovely, I called my GP surgery today and the receptionist asked a few questions and said she will refer to midwife who will contact me for my first appointment for when I’m between 8-10 weeks ☺️

@Justbelieve25 a chemical could definitely mess with your cycle I believe! Sending positive thoughts! 🥰

AF is due today so if I continue to bleed or flow gets heavy I know it’s AF. It’s still light right now but time will tell. Usually AF starts the same day I start spotting and I usually have a heavy flow but I did have a chemical last month would that mess with my flow/cycle?

Yeah some of my apps say definitely dates too, yeah I rang my local midwife up yesterday and they gave me a call back, you download an app and it says my first appointment with my midwife is 27th Feb so il be 9 weeks. What about you?

@Butterflygirl23 oh no have you 😭 have you spoke to the GP/midwife yet? I’ll be due around the very end of September.. due date varies depending on which app I look at?!

That is very positive! Congratulations! I love a thread like this. I had period type cramps when my period was due when I was pregnant with my first baby, I think that’s pretty normal.

Congratulations! I had bad cramps for a couple of months at the start of my pregnancies. Kept expecting my period at any second. My kids are now primary school aged! Best of luck with your pregnancy.
