Ah I have no idea on DPO either really, I reckon test again on the 3rd. Especially with irregular cycles it’s so hard to know isn’t it. Will keep everything crossed for you!

BambiBooBoo · 28/01/2023 14:48

@NWnature I think I was just hoping. Damn evaps
Not sure DPO as don't track. I'm guessing around 14th so maybe 13/14dpo??
But I have long irregular cycles
My app is saying AF due around 3rd but test in 2 days

NWnature · 28/01/2023 14:45

@BambiBooBoo I’m not sure I can see but I am rubbish at these things! How many days DPO are you?

BambiBooBoo · 28/01/2023 08:08

Thought I could see something but now I think I've either got line eyes or it's an evap that came up really quick

Thanks @Seasalt1984 it definitely knocked me more than I thought it would. I will definitely give the ovulation sticks a go next month if no luck. Hope the coil appointment goes well! When is your wedding?

@BeaKind Totally with you on just flopping into bed. I hate feeling this lethargic but I just can’t seem to get into a routine with exercise, I start too early to cram it in the AM and I work a shorter day than I used to so usually work through lunch to try and keep on top of things. I think I will have to be more strict with getting out for a run on the weekends and one day when I WFH trying to use lunch or something. I can’t even face 20 mins in the evening at the moment once I’ve done bath and bedtime.

BeaKind · 27/01/2023 20:49

Oooh @Halpmer that looks like a pretty good line to me for 9dpo 🤞

@NWnature it took me a while to get back but I wasn’t really trying very hard. And tbh I feel like my body is carrying weight so differently postpartum. I feel much bigger than I did pre pregnancy but the same weight 🤯 agree that once I started back at work I was more sedentary and exercise is non-existent. At the end of the day I want to do nothing once little one is in bed. 😬

Torinunn2022 · 27/01/2023 20:16

@Halpmer theres definitely a line!! Looking forward to seeing the progression. Congratulations :)

Seasalt1984 · 27/01/2023 18:08

@Halpmer that definitely looks like a line! How exciting, everything crossed it progresses smoothly!

I had my call with nurse yesterday and have got appt next week to get coil out then we can get started! I've decided if I'm a bride with a bump then it means DC2 will have been at the wedding too which is pretty cool :)

@NWnature so sorry re your chemical. Not sure re app and dates, but it might be worth tracking with OPK as they will tell you when you're ovulating more reliably than an app? My app was a bit off with dates I started using OPKs.

BambiBooBoo · 27/01/2023 09:34

@Halpmer that looks really good! Hopefully it progresses nicely!

BFN for me today

NWnature · 27/01/2023 08:40

Eek I think that looks promising too @Halpmer !! Keeping everything crossed for you.

Hope everyone else has a great Friday- the weekend is nearly here.

According to Clue app I am 4DPO but I just don’t know how accurate the app would be after a chemical? As in the chemical was over a week later than my normal period but would the app adjust things accordingly? Who knows!

If it’s not too personal, has everyone got back to broadly prebaby1 weight? I actually lost the pregnancy weight pretty quickly via breastfeeding but the last year I have definitely put on weight having been back at work and found fitting in exercise night on impossible. I’m a bit worried about that too- getting massive from a higher starting point.

Halpmer · 27/01/2023 07:42

@WhiteHorse92 you have more willpower than I do 🫣 welcome, welcome!

@Bellyrumble I hope you woke him up!! Sending much baby dust!

I'm 9dpo today! Did not resist testing 👀😂 I think there's very faint line on today's test 👀 going to keep my hopes regulated as I know it's early still!

Haven’t used contraception that should say *

clearly too tired!

Bellyrumble · 26/01/2023 22:49

I’m also TTC number 2, we have used contraception since having our 17m old but now actively trying

im still breastfeeding, have PCOS, endometriosis and it took 3 years plus a surgical operation to get pregnant with number 1 (all before I’m even 30 🙈🤦🏼‍♀️)

not holiding out much hope but I thiiiink I may be ovulating due to symptoms… have just finished work. time to wake up the hubby? 🙈

congrats to all of you with BFPs :)

WhiteHorse92 · 26/01/2023 22:26

Also TTC baby no.2! In the TWW of cycle #1, been getting symptoms so have just ordered a couple of FRERs if no period by 1st Feb!

Halpmer · 26/01/2023 14:15

@NWnature I feel that that's an accurate view of attitude for sure 😆 yeah any age gap is great, we just don't want to drag out the baby stage repeatedly (they're lovely but it's hard work isn't it!!) I've been back to work since September (I'm a secondary school teacher so it was perfect timing and I got my 6week hols paid as I officially returned on the last day of school in July! I've really enjoyed being back and in the swing of things. It's definitely demanding and I've had to fight for respect from superiors all over again but I've rolled with all the punches and I'm finally back to the levels I expect and then some! It's definitely exhausting at first though. I have a huge family, my husband doesn't but would like one because of sibling relationships he's endured.

@Torinunn2022 aw that's a great positive! (I wouldn't have batted an eye even if the water on the stick was pee to be honest, I have to do the dipping method because otherwise - pee everywhere 😂😂.

Torinunn2022 · 26/01/2023 10:09

@NWnature i know exactly what you mean by it taking the excitement away. I had my chemicals before my son and it makes you not want to enjoy it or get your hopes up for it happening again - I feel the same way this time tbh. I was very anxious even weeks into my pregnancy because of this, but I did find that some early reassurance scans helped. I went to a local private company for this.
thank you so much!! I think I’ll be more excited in a few weeks when I can go for a scan, I’m only about 4 and a half weeks.
my little boy is 10 months old 😊

heres my latest test which is obviously very good! (That’s water from my hands on the stick not my pee😆) fingers crossed it progresses well

NWnature · 26/01/2023 09:16

@Halpmer haha I feel like the attitude is just an upwards trajectory from birth to teen 😆 I agree I think any age gap will be lovely but there’s definitely something to be said for close ones. Have you gone back to work? That is partly why I took longer to try again because I was so wiped out with trying to reestablish myself at the office. Also the plan for three or four!!!! I am impressed! Do you and your partner come from big families?

@Torinunn2022 thank you so much, really kind of you and I’m sorry you have been through it too. I haven’t been able to talk to my friends about it because I know that many of them have been really struggling with fertility for much longer and the others are pregnant and I don’t want to stress them out. My husband was much more pragmatic about it but I do think it put a bit of a damp squib on trying this month which makes me a bit sad, just sort of takes the fun, excitement and innocence away from it all. Even though I knew it was a stroke of luck how easily everything went with my son, and I think in my gut I didn’t believe it would happen first time round again, I was just beginning to believe the lines and trawling mumsnet for late ovulation stories etc etc

Anyway - HUGE congrats on your BFPs! So exciting! How old is your little one?

Halpmer · 26/01/2023 09:04

@NWnature my son is 13 months (14 months on 5th of feb) but omg he has had severe attitude for months already lol, dreading terrible twos hahaha.

I'm the same with the idea of being pregnant alongside having DS! And then potentially having a newborn with a 2 year old (aaaagh!) but I do want to sort of get these baby years out of the way fairly succinctly and we want three or four kids... wish me luck lol.

I also have the dipping sticks from Amazon and it says they pick up 10whatevers of HCG which I think is quite sensitive, so hopefully they work their baby dusting magic soon!

@Torinunn2022 aw I'm glad you've had good positives and even better that you're feeling okay at the moment. I'm only 8dpo today I think so going to hold off... for at least a couple of days...

OP posts:
Torinunn2022 · 26/01/2023 08:21

I feel for your @NWnature a loss is still a loss no matter how early! I’ve had a few myself and they are awful because you get your hopes up as soon as you see that positive!
@Halpmer how many days DPO are you now??
ive had very good positives now and tbh I don’t really have any symptoms at all!

NWnature · 26/01/2023 08:13

@Halpmer did I read your son just turned two? This age is WILD isn’t it! I am so knackered I can’t even really fathom pregnancy tiredness or another little one but I’m so so desperate for it to happen at the same time.

I really really hope it’s a BFP for you- I used those dipping sticks from Amazon which are great value and more eco! I do rate them as seem to pick up quite low levels of HCG :)

Halpmer · 26/01/2023 07:38

@NWnature sorry about the chemical, I think it would definitely affect me too though if it happened which is why I'm nervous about testing too early, but I tested from 8dpo last time because I was OBSESSED lol. I got a very faint line at 9dpo and now DS is here and thriving. But I'd love to have the will power to wait to test when my period is late this time... don't know if I'll manage.

I don't really feel any different yet, with my cycle seemingly a bit cuckoo this time I'm not sure we will have success this month anyway.

Fingers crossed for BFPs all round asap!

NWnature · 26/01/2023 07:22

Hi all,
I am trying for second baby too. My son was 2 in October. We started last month and I had a chemical pregnancy which messed with my head more than I thought it would. I’m now in the waiting game as my next period is due 6 Feb - keeping everything crossed but not getting my hopes up.

Sending everyone good vibes . @Halpmer keeping everything crossed for you! Do you feel any different? I don’t remember having any symptoms early the first time round and didn’t test for the first time
til my period was a couple of days late and got strong instant positive. I am going to try really hard to wait til my period date/ day after to test this time as it was far less stress than comparing numerous tests on the chemical.

Halpmer · 26/01/2023 05:44

@Torinunn2022 How are you getting on so far?

@JJM13 we were also pregnant first cycle with #1 so I'm not sure what will happen this time, only on first cycle so far (in the TWW!)

@BeaKind I hope you get your bfp soon. Your worries are valid and you're always welcome here to vent and have some baby dust shared with you if needed I'm currently 8dpo, so just trying to hold out on testing for a couple more days. Not sure exactly when I ovulated either as got two different days from my apps (annoying). I went with the date I thought was most probable.

@Seasalt1984 wonderful! I had my Kyleena removed in Dec after one attempt, an ultrasound and a lucky encounter at the GP for the second attempt. I had the copper one before DS and no problems! The Kyleena experience deffo made me a bit more scared for future coils. Mostly just because of the extra faff.

Seasalt1984 · 25/01/2023 22:07

Oo I'll join! I have a 13 month old DS and have a consultation call tomorrow with nurse at gp surgery about getting my mirena coil removed (not sure why i can't just have a face to face appointment to get it removed straight away?!). Anyway... I'm 39 in June so keen to crack on, only thing is OH and I are getting married in July and part of me would rather not be pregnant at the wedding. But we had a MMC before we had DS and I've got in my head that this will probably happen again and feeling like time is against me so want to crack on. Just going to roll with it and see what happens! Baby dust all round x

BeaKind · 25/01/2023 21:23

👋 me! We have a 2 year old and been trying since September. I have PCOS and irregular cycles and now so worried we left it too long as we wanted two closer together in age 😩

Where’s everyone at in their cycle? I’m CD19 and still patiently waiting for ovulation.
