@NWnature maybe we are just too impatient! I’m not 100% sure when I ovulated, although think I’m probs at 8DPO too. I used the ClearBlue digital ones, which really is throwing money down the drain, but I wanted to know either way. Will test again on Saturday probably. Good luck NW ❤️

NWnature · 31/01/2023 08:13

Hey @Looper2 I’m in the same boat. I am due 6 Feb so apparently 8DPO and just tested negative. Gutted but trying to remain positive. Did you use a FRER? I am
only using the cheap Amazon strip ones so clinging onto some hope they just aren’t sensitive enough.

Looper2 · 31/01/2023 08:00

Is anyone else testing this morning? My period isn’t due til 9th Feb but tested this morning just in case… my lower back is sore and crampy and I’ve been so grumpy. Test was negative 🙁 so hard to not be disappointed even though it’s probably too early to get a positive

Mummyo1 · 30/01/2023 11:01

@NWnature yeah it's just gone! To think my baby will be 18 and ill still only be the young age of 35 is mad 🥺 sending baby dust to all who need it. Hoping this month is our lucky month x

TunnocksTCake · 30/01/2023 10:43

Hi! I am on Cycle 4 of TTC #2, Have a wonderful DD who was 2 in September.
Cycle day 2 here so a little wait until CD 10 & sex week!! I think I am going to use CB digis as they worked well last time (Have been putting off because they are so expensive!) and the SMEP plan :)
Good luck ladies!

Looper2 · 30/01/2023 10:35

Hello! I am also starting to try for number 2. My little one is 2.5 and waiting to test later this week. Think I ovulated on Wednesday and stupidly tested yesterday (waste of a tenner!!) but the two early tests are calling my name lol!

BeaKind · 30/01/2023 10:34

@NWnature I’m like you and would be testing that early too 😂 I feel like I just have to pee on something 🤪

NWnature · 30/01/2023 10:27

@Mummyo1 Oh wow - that’s amazing. Does it feel like ages ago or like you blinked and he was almost 10!? Will keep everything crossed for you :)

Mummyo1 · 30/01/2023 10:12

@NWnature he's 9! So will (hopefully) be around a 10 year age gap! I was pregnant at 17. Now 27, I'm TTC and doing all the planning that goes with it

NWnature · 30/01/2023 09:46

Ah that sounds encouraging and also so great that you can remember and recognise from the previous pregnancies. I have a memory like a sieve and can’t remember the early days of last time, definitely didn’t have any strong symptoms. I have been feeling weird stomach feelings but I think I am just going wishful thinking. I also had vivid dreams at the weekend - which I do actually remember from last pregnancy- however I ate an entire burrata so it could’ve just been that!

Tabbycat92 · 30/01/2023 09:33

@NWnature I’ve had cramping for the last 3 days, and lower back ache (something that I’ve had both times in last pregnancies). Slightly sore boobs (am still breastfeeding my youngest), and an incredible sense of smell. Hot flashes at night (can’t sleep with anything on me) and insomnia.

NWnature · 30/01/2023 09:31

Hi @Mummyo1 how old is your little one? Hope the smiley faces appear soon. I haven’t ever used the ovulation tests but know loads
of people swear by them.

Welcome @Tabbycat92 what symptoms have you been feeling? When do you think you will test?

Tabbycat92 · 30/01/2023 09:27

Hi all, am ttc baby no.3. I have two boys, age 4.5 and 12months. ☺️ currently 10dpo with AF due tomorrow. Have been feeling “symptoms”, so who knows 🤷‍♀️

Mummyo1 · 30/01/2023 09:13

Today's, CD9

I'm on cycle 4 of TTC baby number 2. I'm using digital clear blue ovulation tests as I tested the 1st month, didn't for 2...and now want a clearer picture for cycle 4. Started testing on CD7, now on CD 9 and still negative which Is about right! I normally ovulate around CD13 so should start to get a flashing smiley soon!

NWnature · 30/01/2023 08:51

@Halpmer English was my favourite subject. Do you teach language or literature? Or perhaps it is both together now? My grammar is awful, especially when posting on here- apologies in advance!

A new week is here. I stupidly did a strip test yesterday (6DPO) negative… don’t even know why I did it. Going to try and hold off til Saturday morning if at all possible. My app thinks my period is due next Monday. I am obsessing about it. I honestly have so much respect for people who have a long TTC journey, it is all encompassing isn’t it?!

How is everyone else feeling?

Halpmer · 29/01/2023 17:34

@BambiBooBoo congratulations, hope it's a sticky one!!

@mummmmyj I've currently no desire to buy other tests, so hoping it stays that way 😂.

@NWnature I teach English! I'm not the grammar police though, so don't judge my punctuating. I really love the job, but it's definitely hard work and it takes a lot of you, but so do a lot of jobs I suppose!

The nausea is already lurking in the shadows here... I think I'll book an appointment at the doctors sooner rather than later to try and get ahead with nausea if I can. I suffered with no meds for half the pregnancy last time, just insane nausea rather than vomiting thankfully but it was so limiting and got me down a lot!

@NWnature thank you!
Fingers are crossed for you

NWnature · 29/01/2023 08:49

Ahhh @BambiBooBoo congrats! I told you I am rubbish with the line hunting. Lovely news.

@Halpmer what subject do you teach? I have so much respect for teachers, especially secondary, all the hormones you have to deal with !!

I am DPO 6 today according to estimations. Had a charity ball last night so had a few drinks. Just need to get through this week then hopefully I will know either way. I do think my boobs feel a bit sensitive but to be honest I think I am imagining it/ wishful thinking. I was so laisse faire with testing with my first. It was our first month trying and I was late on my period so did a clear blue digi “2-3 weeks” and then ordered a cheap strip next day delivery on Amazon to check. That was that. I feel such an idiot how for granted I took it! I did worry the entire pregnancy , which if I am lucky enough to get pregnant again I am really going to try and avoid. I saw two of my friends last night who are pregnant with their first after various fertility issues. They are both so anxious , it’s such an emotional rollercoaster isn’t it!

BambiBooBoo · 29/01/2023 08:37

I got my BFP this morning!

WhiteHorse92 · 29/01/2023 08:22

FRERs were delivered a couple of days earlier than I was expecting, so I caved in and tested this morning didn't I? 😅. BFN though. Just a very thin and very faint colourless line which is definitely just the indent that was already there before I used it. I don't use OPKs or anything to try and confirm ovulation, but going by when I think my fertile period roughly was, I'm sure I'd have at least a faint line by now. First cycle after coming off the pill was 25 days but they were 25-29 days after coming off the pill the first time so if no period by Thursday I might use the other FRER but pretty sure I'm out this month 😅

mummmmyj · 28/01/2023 18:36

@Halpmer that really made me laugh!! I did exactly the same.. every brand going. I did buy a pack of digital this time after the positive cheapies cos I couldn’t help myself!

BambiBooBoo · 28/01/2023 18:35

@Halpmer I think I did. I can't actually remember. Feeling really weird today. And I took a 2 hour nap on the sofa which I never do.
I've got a couple FRER and a couple clearblue so might try one of the clear blue tomorrow with a IC

IC have always been good for me. But the ones I've got now are shockingly bad. I even emailed the company and was like "wtf are these?!" They sent me replacements but me and DH still think they're a bad batch

Halpmer · 28/01/2023 18:33

Tested again today and the line is the same if not a little tiny bit darker so that's good for now. Saved so much on tests this time with the Amazon cheapies, last time I must've bought about 10 packs of FRER, a pack of Clearblue, 2 digitals and a partridge in a pear tree 😂.

@NWnature in terms of weight I found that before I stopped breastfeeding my body was carrying extra weight or water or something because when I stopped I went back to pre-baby figure essentially - perhaps hips have moved a bit but weight is deffo similar! If it helps I went back to work (secondary teacher) around a month before I stopped so maybe the combo of the bf stopping and the fact that I'm run ragged at work helped me out a bit 😅.

@BambiBooBoo did you shine your phone torch on it and stuff? I can maybe see what you see on the first pic but hard to tell in the light! Those tests are sensitive if they're the same as mine but not as sensitive as FRER and if you don't track dpo you could well be still in the game! Fingers crossed for you!

@NWnature thank you. Yeah it's a pain in the butt. Especially thinking "I'm late" but it's not it's just stupid cycles
