Hello everyone!

@Shaker21 congratulations!! I’m so pleased for you! You’ve waited so long for this! I’m so pleased to see the Letorozole worked! I’m so glad u went and found that consultant! You’d have still been waiting on the NHS!

@Annapolis35 everything crossed for you entering your fertile
week!

well I’m still up and down! Don’t know if I told you but my close friend told me she was pregnant over the phone, she wasn’t trying and cried when she found out as wasn’t sure this was what they wanted… totally get that just almost wish she’d missed that bit out of the story! Phoning wasn’t the best for me either! I wish she’d text or voice noted! It took me so off guard I think my reaction was probably poor and I hope I’ve not made her feel rubbish by it!!

I’ve carried on with this bbt and have no clear indication yet but this morning I’ve had a positive OPK and lots of ewcm so we’ll dtd tonight incase! Not managed to do it much this month as I’ve had D&V 🤦🏽‍♀️ so only managed in cd 14! Hopefully these are all good signs!

move just rung to chase my fertility referral after seeing @Shaker21 bfp! They’ve said it’s 14 more weeks!!! So I’ll have been waiting 50! I need to find someone private I think

Shaker21 · 14/03/2023 14:49

That's alright! I don't mind the questions at all @Annapolis35 I would be exactly the same. I really hope it is the start of other BFP's coming up, it has been so long without any! x

Annapolis35 · 14/03/2023 14:29

Thank you so much and sorry for all the questions! It really is helpful and gives hope to see another bfp on this thread. We’ve all been through the ringer too so it feels especially good to see some bfps ❤️

Shaker21 · 14/03/2023 14:01

@Annapolis35 Yeah I have got to just go with it and what will be will be. Erm did overly notice anything too different. I have put my chart in here for this cycle. The only thing I did notice this cycle that has been different to others is my temps in general were all slightly higher. My temps before ovulation previously have been 36.15-36.30 and this month they were 36.25-36.45 and after ovulation previously they were 36.50-36.70 and this month they were 36.60-36.90 so just that slight shift higher but that could have been down to my hormones finally being at the right level they should have been.

@pinkpirlie also wonderful news! So glad everything is going well.

@Shaker21 i think the cramps are normal, I had them for the first couple of weeks so I wouldn’t worry about that. And as said, this is now out of your control completely so no point worrying. Just a question re temps, did yours seem different at all this month? Or just odd at time your period should be due?

Shaker21 · 14/03/2023 13:27

@pinkpirlie Ahh I'm so glad it is all ok and thank you so much for all the advice, I am thinking I am going to do a early scan at 7 weeks and then see how I feel after that and may also do one at 10 weeks if I really feel like I need to. I have felt so tired yesterday and today, I feel so bloated and achey. Which the aching is freaking me out whether its good, bad, normal or not normal but I have seen people say they are quite crampy in the first few weeks finding out as its all stretching and doing what it should be. I am really trying to stay off of Google and to just go with it and wait and see what happens. There is no reason anything would be wrong so just need to chill.

@Jen05p Thank you :) I do really believe it was the Letrozole that has done it so I am in amazement how a tiny tablet can do that to just regulate hormones how they should be for it to happen!

Jen05p · 14/03/2023 11:59

@Shaker21 im at work and just saw your message and I had a big grin on my face!! Really happy for you congratulations! Im so pleased the letrozole ( or whatever it was in the universe) has worked for you. Wishing you a very happy and healthy pregnancy ahead.

@pinkpirlie awww 12, weeks! Amazing.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. Xx

pinkpirlie · 14/03/2023 11:46

@Shaker21 I'm about 12 and a half weeks, but they couldn't date me today as they couldn't see the baby properly. So I have to go back next week to try again. But baby is about the right size and has a heart beat so that was the most important bits for me and helped de-stress me. Hopefully my eczema will clear up now, as it always flares when I'm anxious.

I had private scans at 6.5 and 10 weeks, these really helped as anxiety creeps up between scans and the first NHS one feels so far away. This helped as I had previous loss and also just the anxiety of knowing it took 2.5 years to get to here and not wanting/feeling able to go through that again. I would aim for 7 and 10 weeks though if you want to do that as you can't see much at 6 weeks.

I found the exhaustion really hard weeks 4-6 but it got a lot better for me after that.

Sickness has been awful! I'm on cyclizine which really helps, so I would really not wait to speak to doctor if you're suffering. I have found it hard to drink anything, as liquids make me feel so poorly. So small sips little and often.

Appointments feel forever away in the moment, but come around quicker than you think they will.

Don't compare yourself to others and try to stay off Google. There is absolutely nothing you can do to help or hinder the pregnancy, it's all in nature's hands. Googling symptoms won't change outcomes and just adds to anxiety.

Thanks @pinkpirlie ! I am so happy your scan went all ok! How many weeks are you now? Have you got any tips or advice on how to keep myself sane and not anxious that something will go wrong? Lol... only found out yesterday and I am already freaking out x

pinkpirlie · 14/03/2023 10:52

OMG @Shaker21
The BIGGEST congratulations!!!
That's so amazing.

It's been such a tough journey for you, I couldn't be happier (and I just had a scan and my little one is okay, but I'm happier for you - haha).

I really hope we start seeing more BFP's for us on this thread :)

That's good you're coming into fertile window and that you got a flashing smiley! I am keeping everything crossed for you x

Annapolis35 · 14/03/2023 08:07

That pregnancy tired is something else! Get loads of rest now and keep us updated. I am happy for you and nice to see another bfp on this thread.

I’m ok, I’m on cycle day 10 so gearing up now for fertile week. I think we are gonna just try to dtd as much as we can and try to enjoy it. I had some clear blue opks in the cupboard so decided to use them on a whim and got a flashing smiley today, definitely early this cycle! I won’t tell my oh as it puts a bit of pressure on him.

Shaker21 · 14/03/2023 07:59

Thank you! It doesn't feel real yet. I am feeling ok, just feeling a bit bloated and so so tired, got bit of aching going on. Other than that no other symptoms. No of course not @Annapolis35 , we dtd 2DBO, 1DBO and Ovulation day.

How are you doing? x

Annapolis35 · 14/03/2023 07:24

Congratulations @Shaker21!! what lovely news and so happy for you. How are you feeling? I hope you don’t mind me asking, how often did you dtd?

Shaker21 · 14/03/2023 06:52

Morning girls :)

So I had a temperature rise yesterday morning which is 12DPO which normally my bbt would be on the decline by this point ready for AF to arrive on 14DPO. So I decided to take an easy at home test and got a faint line. I was freaking out all day yesterday and had to wait all day at work until I could get a FRER on my way home to take that. I got a much darker line on the FRER yesterday late afternoon and decided to try the digital :)

It hasn't quite sunk in at all yet......clearly the 7.5mg Letrozole was all that was needed and no need for the HSG next cycle! Lol!

@Shaker21 sorry was supposed to say. I hope it all goes well for you this cycle...fingers crossed. Xxx

Jen05p · 13/03/2023 07:46

@Shaker21 hey! Hope all is well. Thanks for reaching out. I took the trigger injection a week ago so should be around 8dpo now. I don't feel any differently than last month. I always get an odd throb in my foot just after ovulation and it lasts all the way on and off until my period and same with my upper back. It's weirdly just on the left side but had it for years and always means my period is on its way. So my foot is getting worse each day and so I don't think it's going to be a positive one.

Do you test or wait for period to come?

pinkpirlie · 12/03/2023 20:08

Hey everyone,

Sorry that everyone is struggling with different things associated with the stresses of TTC. I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and hoping that you will get your positive results soon. It is so hard month after month and I really couldn't have got through the TTC process without all your support, so I'm glad we are still all here for each other.

@Annapolis35 yes, I'm 12 weeks now. Have my dating scan on Tuesday. I had a private scan at 10 weeks and baby was bang on dates I expected so will be interested to see what they say Tuesday.
I think everything is going okay as I think I'm starting to expand a bit, although it isn't that obvious under the layers of fat 🤣.
I'm feeling anxious nevertheless.

Shaker21 · 12/03/2023 15:59

Hey girls....sorry I haven't messaged in a while.

I am 11DPO today, AF due Tuesday or Wednesday but expecting her to show as I feel no different this month. I had my day 21 bloods done Tuesday from being upped to 7.5mg this month and got the results Thursday that my progesterone was 34.9 nmol/L so way better than previous cycles and fertility consultant was happy with that so I am sticking on the 7.5mg for next cycle. I also am now booking in my HSG for week after next too so fingers crossed that all comes back OK and then is just a matter of time on the 7.5mg 🤞🏻

How are you all doing?

How is the OPKs and temping going @ANP2020 ?

They sounded positive signs @Strawb28 how are you doing?

Has the bleeding stopped from your procedure now @Annapolis35 and where are you at in your cycle at the moment?

What DPO are you on now @Jen05p ? How are you feeling? Any different?

X

Annapolis35 · 10/03/2023 08:35

Awww I’m so sorry @ANP2020 it really sucks. I hate that feeling so much. But it’s totally valid to feel the way you do. I’m starting to think the best way for us to be more relaxed about it all and not time dtd anymore, but maybe from next month we will do that? And just stop “trying” officially. I can’t bring myself to do that this month though as it takes a massive mental shift!!

We are going to Skye so not abroad but really looking forward to it. The weather might go either way but as long as we are prepared. We both like walking, nature and hills so it’s perfect for us (good thing we live in Scotland!) and may take a ferry to Harris if the weather is good and stay a bit longer.

ANP2020 · 10/03/2023 05:49

hey,

im up as I can’t sleep! Got told last night from one of my closest friends that she’s pregnant! Hadn’t been trying it’s just happened! What a clanger! I cried and cried and cried! Not to them obviously! I did the whole congrats I’m so happy for you! Then felt guilty that someone else’s happy made me so sad!!

here I am rattling with vitamins! Eating clean and trying to eat the right foods for fertility and temping and weeing on sticks for months and nothing! One night and all done for others! It’s so unfair! I actually felt really lonely last night! It’s such a lonely journey!

@Jen05p 🤞🤞 for you will they do your bloods again to check? Glad to hear you’re taking it easier! It’s easier said than done but trying not to pin your hopes on the 2WW definitely helps! I yet haven’t managed that 🤣🤣

@Annapolis35 where are you going away? I’d heard about the Apple Watch on the advert! Might try it! Remembering to temp each day is tough! Plus I’m struggling as I wake up at different times everyday for a wee overnight! Earliest has been 4:30 and it’s always lower then! Then if I make it to 7 it’s always higher! Next month might have to set my alarm for 4:30 and always do it then

Jen05p · 08/03/2023 10:44

Hi all,

@Annapolis35 thanks for reaching out. Glad to hear you are well and will be back on the TTC train soon! That must have been hard bleeding for 3 weeks...so I hope this comes to an end soon. You have some lovely things planned so hope this makes it easier.

@ANP2020 I know the feeling of being around friends who have newborns...it is so hard and feels like we have to just suck it up and enjoy the moment but in some conversations just feel like there is a lump in my throat! Its hard as we are so happy for our friends but it just makes the reality of our situation come to light and then you end up overthinking everything all over again.

Glad we have this thread to share our thoughts and feelings.

I am okay just finished days 2-7 of letrozole at 5mg again and then had the trigger shot on Friday day 9 of my cycle. They saw a big follicle on my left which was already about 21cm so decided to do the shot that evening. Its a been a bit hard trying to DTD this week as my little one keeps waking up/had people over the weekend etc. I think we managed once a day so fingers crossed! I also have been taking the cyclogest since 2 days after trigger. It is day 14 of my cycle so soon approaching TWW. I am feeling a little bit more calm since last month. It really got me when I got the BFN and my period arrived and the 1st cycle failed. Was just devasted so this month I am trying to take it more easy and not feel as stressed but come the 2 week wait I feel the anxiousness/symptom spotting will return.

@Shaker21 how are you getting on? hope all is well x

Annapolis35 · 07/03/2023 12:20

@ANP2020 well sounds like you’re doing all the right things and trying everything. I’m quite excited to get “back into the saddle” haha but I am sure come 2ww I’ll be all anxious again - thankfully we are going away during it. Paris in April sounds lovely!! So many nice things to look forward to as well and good job on continued weight loss, it’s hard.

It’s so hard seeing friends with babies, I really struggle with it too and that’s totally normal. I have an Apple Watch now that does wrist temp to show ovulation and mine is up and down too. I think it guesses ovulation day within a day or two of accuracy but I don’t use opks to confirm. Mine definitely shows a shift so know I’m ovulating. I know what my fertile week is generally so we will just aim to dtd through that I think. I find the wrist temp makes me feel quite anxious through the 2 weeks.

ANP2020 · 07/03/2023 10:47

Hey,

yep I’m into a fresh cycle and I’m throwing everything at it! Temping and OPKs! I’m still not holding out much hope! Also wondering if I did ovulate earlier last month or it was another month where I didn’t ovulate again! So far I haven’t had a positive OPK and my BBT is up and down!! Cycle day 9 now so we’ll see if I ovulate early it’ll be in the next few days!

all I’m doing is trying to focus on the weightloss and getting another stone off! We go to Disney land Paris in April so trying to get another stone off before then.

@Strawb28 any news they sounded like positive signs!

@Annapolis35 so happy to hear the conceive plus has sorted out your cycles. I take them as well and they’re good!

sorry to hear your still bleeding following procedure wearing pads is awful! Hopefully it’ll not be for much longer! Sounds like you’ve got some lovely things planned!!

so yesterday I went out for breakfast with my friends who both have newborns! Wow it was tough but I’m glad I did it! Really weird to think I was hoping I’d share their Mat leave with them and no such luck! Felt a bit down afterwards but soon picked up! The time I feel the most down is when AF comes though nothing feels worse! X

Annapolis35 · 07/03/2023 10:10

Hey @ANP2020 hope you’re doing ok now and onto another cycle! I started taking conceive plus vitamins and it seems to have shortened my cycles to 27/28 days, which is actually quite nice as sometimes they could go to 33 days. Or maybe my body is finally regulating after the miscarriage/stress of house sale! I definitely do feel happier, hopeful and more relaxed now.

I just got my AF too as expected, but I have been bleeding since I had the procedure so now into the thirdish week of bleeding. I am a bit fed up of wearing pads now! We will be trying again this month so will see how it all goes. We have a little holiday at the beginning of next month so lots to look forward to regardless of baby making. Hope everyone is doing ok?

@pinkpirlie you must be coming up to your 12 week scan now - good luck and let us know how it all goes.

@Shaker21 @Jen05p hope youre both alright with the letrozole.
