Anyone else TTC #1? Just looking for TTC buddies!

Hello, sorry to pop in. But came across this thread.. wondering if I can pick some brains.

We are TTC cycle 1. I came off the contraceptive pill 3rd May. First period came 3 days later 06/05 I lightly bled for about 5 days, ending on 10/05. Two days later, when I went toilet I found it was very slippery down their when I wiped! After reading up, I'm now concerned that maybe I was ovulating that early?
I use an app called my cycle and track it via iPhone health app too. Both are indicating I should be ovulating anywhere between today and Sunday, peak predicted on Friday/Saturday. However, I started taking ovulation tests yesterday and all are very clearly negative....

Does it sound like I've ovulated really early? CD7/8? Or is their still time for me to ovulate? Completely new at this! Or is their still time for me to ovulate and keep on with the ovulation testing.... I've googled and googled and it's a minefield and I've tried to follow on here but there are lots of abbreviations which I have no idea what they mean!

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated...

@kalixxx Well, things took an unexpected turn. I had dark brown CM which I took to be the beginning of my period, but that just well, stayed like that. I’ve never had a period begin in that way so then started wondering what on earth id done to my by then quite regular, if shorted than I’d like, cycle with all the B6. And worrying that I’d ovulate whilst my husband is away for a trip and miss the next window.

I had the worst cramping on Thursday evening and was like ok, here we go. Still no P. Very confused. So thought f**k, this is weird let’s take a test and well you can see the image! Still hasn’t sunk in.

So yeah, I’m not sure if it it was implantation and bleeding and cramps… or actually, because my period comes quite around 10DPO my body was then wonder WTF with that trying to dig in. I’ve gone from worrying I’ll never get pregnant to worrying ill MC. (Notice a pattern of behaviour here!?)

I realise how incredibly lucky we are, so feel like a big fat faker for having wandered in here with my worries.

I’m trying to keep myself calm, there’s nothing I can do other than continue taking vitamins etc, and what will be will be. Have taken a few more tests and the line has progressed, so now need to step away from them for a while!

Hello ladies. I’m 3DPO today. I had a slightly longer cycle last month and then I ovulated a few days early this month so it caught me a bit off guard. Managed to DTD the few days before and the day after. Missed the day of suspected ovulation as was away for the night. Hopefully I’m in with a chance. BBT has just confirmed ovulation too.

hi @kalixxx i think I hit peak today despite the app was predicting Sunday.
I’m currently on my holiday and DTD yesterday & today and will just keep going. 🙈
I didn’t think I’d have for a positive / peak ovulation test due to being hydrated with lots of water lol.

I dread the TWW this time because we will be giving it a good go with BD and I’ll be egar to know lol.

@kalixxx All good here, Nausea, exhaustion and heartburn has truly set in now but other than that we're good 🥰

@lackingpatience Hi! I would day the best thing to do is just relax and about it all and have the mindset 'it will happen when it happens' definitely not good to stress about but I totally get it 😊

@Piglet34 Spotting is super normal at the start, I highly recommend joining the app Peanut, been super helpful as its other ladies around the same due date 💕

@kalixxx not really feeling anything so far apart from sometimes slight waves of nausea. I do have some pink spotting yday evening which worries me but lines are darker today so I guess nothing I can do but wait and hope. This was my first month using the ferti-Lily cup so thank you for bringing that to my attention ahaha, obvs no way of knowing if it actually helped but here we are 🥰

tomorrow is ovulation day for me I think (first month doing opks properly and peak was today I think) so very soon will be back in the dreaded TWW!

Ive been lurking on here for a little over a month now but thought it right to peak out from behind the curtain.

DH and I are both 34 TTC #1. Last month was our first official TTC month and sadly that miracle of one and out didn’t happen as AF turned up. I’ve never been pregnant, and never tried before. Quite the opposite, so the powers that be better not make a mockery of my avoidance for the last x years!!

I love some research, knowing makes me comfortable. Having not been able to try for three months having been to a Zika country I’ve enjoyed recording my LH stats on Premom and BBT on Apple Watch. After ten years on the pill my Luteal phase is short, but lengthening 8, 9 and now 11 days. I hear that it’s quite common to be short after long term pill use. But it tends to get longer? That being said the extension may also be down to the popping of B6 and berocca as I’ve read that May assist.

I bought some vitex (but haven’t used it yet as I don’t want to mess with a cycle so early in the day when I’m just getting used to it all). I have ordered some evening primrose thoughts. Im going to bankrupt myself with this…. And rattle as I walk!

It was disappointing that we weren’t successful first time round , I didn’t really think we would, but two friends did and well, you get a little competitive dont you!? I haven’t told anyone we’re actively TTC as I don’t want the pressure.

I just hope we’re successful before it gets stressful. That being said, the not quite 2WW drove me mad as it was so I think that threshold may be lower than I ever thought!

So I think I just got my first BFP guys !! 🥹 am in absolute shock and trying not to get too excited as know stuff could still happen but at least it's a line for now! 💕

@BexTTC yeah I know. I used them the month before actively trying to try and get my head around how they worked ETC and never got a peak and had to go on ovulation pain kinda .so I invested in easy @ home and I'm so glad I did.

@Nmmck93 oh good! I think that's so bad that the cheaper ones done work properly tho as I'm sure there's lots of ladies using those and thinking they're not having a peak 😞

I use easy @ home, I was using those along with cheapies and could never find a peak on the cheapies ever and they where actually one step so I was glad I actually had the easy @ home to actually find my peak.

Completely random but what ovulation tests are you ladies using? I only ask because I done 2 today and the easy@home was a dye stealer but the other brand had absolutely nothing and I remember struggling last cycle to find my peak with that brand so probably best to steer clear of Onestep
