How are you getting on@Enigma85 . I bought the clear blue digital ovulation and had negatives then yesterday a flashing smiling face in the morning but then at 7 pm I had the static smiling face so I’m not sure why that happened so quick . We dtd yesterday and am going to tonight . I must be ovulating 4 days before my app said I would xx

Oh that is so frustrating :( I wonder what it could be, I'd get advice on that for sure. I use clear blue digital which are crazy expensive, might get the cheaper ones when I understand what I'm doing better but just feel so anxious I'd interpret it wrong and end up missing ovulation.

Tottenhaminmyblood · 01/02/2023 19:26

@Enigma85 its very strange I stopped Af on Monday but then started bleeding today and this is starting to become normal for my period so might need advice . What ovulation sticks do you use ? I think I ovulate early also x

@Tottenhaminmyblood my AF came too but has finished now, I'm CD6 and had a negative LH test today so we're going to start DTD tonight every other day, then I usually try and do every day once I get the static smiley for a couple of days. I'd definitely use ovulation sticks, mine happens a lot earlier than I ever thought so had been missing it a few times before I was using them.

Tottenhaminmyblood · 01/02/2023 16:36

@Enigma85 sorry to hear about your mmc am thinking of you and hope your ok . I’m 37 this year and I’m not sure if I need to go for fertility tests now or try the ovulation sticks .
sorry it look me so long to reply AF did arrive on the Friday and I was so upset . Am really going to try this month . How are you ? X

I am so so sorry to read that @Tottenhaminmyblood - I just can't bear to think what that must be like and I'm so incredibly sorry.

I came off the pill a year ago, stupidly thought it'd just 'happen' but quickly realised that was stupid so got on the ovulation sticks. 8 months it took to conceive but was a mmc at 12 week scan in December. We did consider fertility tests as I'm 37 but then got pregnant so didn't bother. Might have to in the future.

Tottenhaminmyblood · 27/01/2023 11:33

Hi @Enigma85 thats how I feel just wanting it to arrive so i can really focus on this month . No my baby died when he was 4 weeks old and I wasn’t ready for a long time . I have been with a new partner for a long time and he has a child from a previous relationship . We haven’t been using anything for 18 months but actively trying now for a year and nothing . How about you ? I think I may have to seek fertility help xx

@Tottenhaminmyblood AF on it's way for me too, I'm now just wishing it would start so I can get on with next month. How long have you been ttc? Will it be baby number 1?

Tottenhaminmyblood · 26/01/2023 11:41

So sorry haven’t been on here , work has been manic . Thinking of you all and hoping Af doesn’t arrive !
Af is on its way for me I think , I am cramping , boobs hurt and feel run down . My app said I ovulated on the 12 th . I just feel like giving up x

Sorry 12dpo*

positivethoughts2023 · 25/01/2023 18:53

I'm now 13dpo, and completely confused!
Last night I had some slight spotting/ brown discharge in my underwear and nothing when I wiped and then tonight I thought I must of been coming on early (CD26) as I was having mild period cramping- when I wiped I had gummy CM that had a pink tinge to it.
I'm now 12dpo and tested tonight and still BFN.
Feeling really nauseated tonight 🤢 any advise would be really appreciated x

BambiBooBoo · 24/01/2023 09:53

@Enigma85 no I don't x
I've still got my fingers crossed for you

Enigma85 · 24/01/2023 09:50

Really sorry @BambiBooBoo - do you temp? I think it's my temp drop that has made me lose hope more than the bfn as I'd just tell myself it's too early to test. Might still be hope for you x

BambiBooBoo · 24/01/2023 09:48

@Enigma85 BFN at 10dpo here too

Enigma85 · 24/01/2023 09:30

10dpo and BFN on a FRER today, and my temp dropped. Feel devastated, really didn't want to see AF after my MMC, just so wanted to be pregnant again, but here I am.

Rockyslife · 24/01/2023 07:33

Thank you so much, when I say over a year its been 17 months, i decided to pay for private investigations as I had a pelvic inflammatory disease when i was 18 which I was adamant had scarred my tubes, i am just getting to the point know where i think i am going to stop trying and just try and forget about it which is easier said than done, but it may help me chill out a little. Thanks again x

Yolo23 · 23/01/2023 21:05

Sorry by fertility specialist - I meant IVF discussions with this professional, if it was something you were open to in future xx

Yolo23 · 23/01/2023 21:04

@Rockyslife so sorry to hear how you’re feeling! It’s honestly such a grafting process 😅 and yep, the ‘fun’ most certainly goes out the window at certain points - especially when it appears everyone else is conceiving so easily!

It sounds as though you’ve had lots of tests which I can imagine is a double edged sword because while you’re getting good news.. you’re still in the same position! But good news is better than bad news and a year is unfortunately average 😫 it’ll likely start to feel more frustrating as time goes on but my advice is to have a plan in place - normally after a year/18 months you can chat to the GP about referrals to fertility specialists.. while you likely won’t need help, I always feel that by having a plan, I’m more in control and while awaiting appointments, I have more patience.. I’d think about all the other things you could do now you’ve reached that point - and be thankful that they’ve checked you both relatively early on.. most people have to wait until 1 year before they’ll even do any one of those tests!

im trying to make you feel a bit better with the above but I can appreciate it doesn’t really mean much. Plan some nice things over the next year if you can - holidays, trips out and try to enjoy what you can in between the journey is my second bit of advice xx

Enigma85 · 23/01/2023 11:46

Did you test again today @positivethoughts2023 ? I'm 9dpo and managed to resist testing today but not sure how much longer I'll be able to resist.

So sorry @Rockyslife - I'm sure you know a year is 'normal' but that doesn't help make it feel any easier. How old are you? Are you using opks, tying preseed or similar etc? I'm 37 and it took us 8 months to conceive first time but ended in a mmc, so now we're trying again and it's a year since we started ttc. Sending you hugs and hoping it happens for you soon

Rockyslife · 23/01/2023 10:54

I just feel like I really need to rant I am 9 days post ovulation (I think)
We have been trying to conceive for over a year now, I recently had fertility checks and my hormones etc are all ok, I had a hycosy procedure which my tubes were all clear which was great news as I was convinced they were blocked, my husband has had his sperm levels checked, and were all ok apart from the shape of them, they were a little abnormal, but the consultant has said no need for action, which does not make sense to me!
I try not to think about every single symptom I have during the 2 weeks wait because I just know that I will come on to my menstrual cycle, and I am just getting so fed up of letting myself get my hopes up for it to not happen! :( I just dont know what more I can do, the whole conceiving thing is becoming hard work now and not fun!

positivethoughts2023 · 22/01/2023 19:24

Congrats to everyone on their BFPs. I'm now on day 9/10po and this morning I felt like I may have got a very squinty positive with FRER. Don't know whether to test tomorrow or wait until 12dpo?
So far my symptoms have been sharp cramping, needing to wee more frequently and tonight my nipples feel like they could cut through glass. Sore nipples is not a sign of PMS for me as I have fake boobs and haven't felt very much in nearly 8 years 🤣 but wow tonight it's like all the nerves have reconnected!
I've read a lot of posts where sore boobs were many women's only symptoms.
What symptoms are others getting, if any?

ConstantlyWorrying · 22/01/2023 16:12

Congratulations to you all on your positives! Woke up to AF this morning :-( sad times! On to the next month...

Oh really that's sweet we are due the same time! I've had nausea since last Sunday it's been horrible, I took a test at 9dpo which was negative but I don't track ovulation so I'm not 100% sure when I conceived! I've had on and off cramps too but says it's normal this eerily on if there's no bleeding etc

Rabbithole27 · 22/01/2023 06:02

Butterflygirl23 · 22/01/2023 05:57

Aww congratulations, I'm due 30th September on my boyfriend's birthday 🥹 I've been awake since 4 I can't sleep so many things going round in my head! I've also been sick this morning

Ahh one of my apps says 30th September and the other says 4th October but I usually have really short cycles and ovulate early so I think that messes with it a bit! I keep getting waves of nausea and also have cramps, a bit like AF is starting which is freaking me out a bit 🫣 I found out at 9dpo and haven’t slept any night since 😂 there’s so much that goes through your head isn’t there!
