Hi All.

This is a continuation from my past thread, but no need to go read that one if you're new here!

Quick TD;LR from the old post (but with up to date info) - I'm 31, OH is 35. We are TTC baby #1. Been TTC since Jan 2022, now on cycle 14. Haven't told anyone to avoid pressure.

Feel free to post any questions, thoughts, whinges, celebrations, basically anything here!

Going to try to be a bit more positive than I was toward the end of the last thread 😂

Love & baby dust to all. Wishing for BFPs for everyone this year 💖

@Yolo23 im on gonal f injections for ovulation induction. Had a scan today and will have another one on Thursday to see if the follicles are growing enough to trigger ovulation and probably more next week as they tend to be slow growers!

Livlaughloathe · 20/03/2023 16:15

@Yolo23 it’s good to hear I’m not the only one re wedding planning! Congrats! We are September 24 but it’s made more complicated by us doing it abroad 🙈 we’ll just have to see what happens!

Hope everyone has a positive week!

I’m pretty sure I ovulated over the weekend so entering the tww now 😬

Yolo23 · 20/03/2023 09:29

@Alexis7890 yeah I’ll definitely make sure he does that in the next few weeks! It’s one of those things that they have almost made impossible as it’s 40 mins there, 40 mins back and the parking/process to do the deed 👀 😅 but it has to be done!

yeah she’s always been pretty good and to be honest it’s nice seeing her photos but she has a one month old and an IVF 2 year old so in the entire process of me TTC, she’s effectively had 2 children - and here we still are 😂 I can deal with it but I shared that I was finding Mother’s Day quite hard (thinking she may not send photos) but she completely ignored it and continued. I’ve since put a ‘busy’ setting on my phone now for when I’m in work all this week or just want quiet time as I can’t be dealing with the complete ignorance 🫣 particularly when someone has experienced the exact same, it’s hard to understand. The moaning of having children riles me up too 😂 but I often bite my tongue because how do I know I won’t be moaning about little ones (I’d like to think not given all the effort this is taking just to try and have one lol)

I’ve decided I’m not testing until a week - I know I’m not pregnant. It must be a dodgy cycle but it’s worrying me AF not arriving and testing seeing negatives isn’t helping so I’m putting it to the back of my mind and hope it arrives soon 😤😖

what injections were you having and how did your scan go??!! X

Alexis7890 · 19/03/2023 23:20

@Yolo23 for a new job I think I would say medical or hospital appointment but I don’t know what his workplace are like with that sort of thing. Thank you, I’ve mentally accepted and am expecting ivf so I’m ready for it just hope there isn’t too long to wait once this cycle inevitably isn’t successful. Could be a longer cycle? Or a positive that hasn’t shown on a test yet?? oh that’s tough for her to keep sending photos like that, you would think she would be understanding of you, I know sometimes I’m fine with other people and their babies but other times I just want to avoid them completely.

Yolo23 · 19/03/2023 23:04

@Alexis7890 @TinyDancer91 Im the same - it’s only my partner and this girl I met through a forum that lives fairly local who I WhatsApp a lot and have done for years.

Recently this has been counter affective - she has had a hard journey to having children (ectopic and IVF, then a successful pregnancy naturally) … she knows I’m struggling but continues to send me photos of her little ones and constantly moan 😅🙃 it’s really hard trying to not mention how I’m feeling xx

Yolo23 · 19/03/2023 23:00

@Alexis7890 thats a good idea - the main issue is he’s in a new job so trying to find his footing at the moment but definitely worth looking at in the next few weeks, thank you.

I hope everything goes well for your scan tomorrow 🙏 we’re on the waiting list for a specialist and expect IVF in future - was always told this may be the case but a chemical in November has me a bit more hopeful. That being said, I’m suddenly late for my period with zero explanation so a bit worried - trying to distract myself.

xx

Alexis7890 · 19/03/2023 22:46

@TinyDancer91 could he move the SA appointment to next week so you have your chance? I totally get the IRL missing element, I only have you online guys as well. None of my friends get it, they try to be supportive but either aren’t wanting a baby yet or easily had babies. Mother’s Day does sting a bit as well as I genuinely thought I’d be quite pregnant by now

@Yolo23 can he make an appointment to do the test in person? My husband was given a drop off appt but phoned and went in person for the whole thing. He has his third one tomorrow. Or tell work he has a medical appt and go do it? It has to be with them in a certain time frame after he has done it but I can’t remember how long

first scan tomorrow to see if these injections are working, every cycle has looked promising at this point before then in a week or so turns to shit and the follicles stop growing so I don’t have much hope and can’t get excited if they say anything is looking good! But one last go before ivf is what I keep telling myself!

Yolo23 · 19/03/2023 22:27

@TinyDancer91 oh thats really interesting as I’m currently late by a day - never late, so I’m hoping/expecting it arrives soon as I’m BFN and slowly starting to worry where it is!?
sorry to hear you’ve been finding things difficult - a few weeks out can really help I find!
My OH has a SA there ready to go but it’s crazy as you have to drop it off to a clinic Tues to Thu between 10am and 3pm? Nightmare when you work full time and the clinic is over 40 mins away… logistically it just seems impossible!!
I remember with my smear I thought I was out but then had a chemical in Nov so had to cancel the appt - weird how everything works! X

TinyDancer91 · 19/03/2023 21:52

@Yolo23 yes I do remember your name! Sorry you've been having a hard time but also congrats on the engagement!!

AF normally arrived for me on cd 27/28 I've had two 31 day cycles before, but 35 is very out of the ordinary for me.

OH has a SA an weds so after tomorrow morning, no more BD for us until after. Annoyingly, that's also the day I should be ovulating this cycle 😩 might as well assume that we are out again this cycle tbh.

I've really been struggling this past few weeks of having no-one close to me to talk to about it all. It's great having you all on here, but I have really just needed someone to physically talk to recently. It's also getting harder to put on a 'happy' face at my job at certain times too.

How has everyone been today with it being Mother's Day?

I'm so sorry @Plantymcplant xx

Yolo23 · 19/03/2023 20:33

@TinyDancer91 when does your AF normally arrive in your cycle? X

Yolo23 · 19/03/2023 20:33

TinyDancer91 · 09/03/2023 13:15

I'm out again this month AF arrived Tuesday night, CD35. Unheard of for me, so no idea what's going on.

OH has to go for another SA in a few weeks as first one was 'slightly low'. He's also go to have a blood test too, just to make sure everything ok health wise.

AF has really hit me hard this time, completely wiped me out yesterday.

I need to contact my dr again to see where we go from here. At a bit of a loss at to what's next, feel like we're at a standstill.

@TinyDancer91 Sorry to see you’re still on here! You may or may not remember me but your name rings a big bell!

Here I am again 😂😅 after taking a bit of a break for a few months xx

Hello everyone, I hope you are all ok! Hoping I can rejoin from the old thread after a big break away from ttc. After the loss I blindly threw myself into wedding planning. It was a great distraction but I realise now that it was a form of self preservation. Now I feel truly ready to go again so here we are. Before the loss we were concrete on trying to start a family before getting married and I feel a bit stupid for then going all in on the wedding and not having the self awareness to see that I was just scared to try again and shouldn’t make any rash decisions. Now we have things booked for the wedding, deposits paid etc but that yearning to have a baby is there stronger than ever. My partner was ready to go again straight after the loss but he’s been so sensitive of my feelings that he went along with the change in plan thinking that was best for me in that moment. So now I feel like I’ve set us back a bit and created a stress of potentially needing to postpone the wedding and losing money if we are lucky enough to get pregnant again. Luckily he’s very calm and pragmatic about everything and as he said the money isn’t important when this is our whole life we are talking about. I just feel a bit stupid but I am excited that we are trying again. What will be will be I guess. I’ll class this as cycle one of a second round! I really want to be more chilled about everything this time but i feel myself obsessing already. I’m just not a go with the flow person 🙈

Sorry for the essay anyway, where is everyone at in their cycle? What’s new? I’ve tried to catch up on everything but there’s a lot!

also @RegardingPersephone I think I see something, hopefully it’ll be clearer if you test again tomorrow! Fingers crossed for you🤞🏼

@Livlaughloathe
Your post really resonated with me - we had a chemical in November. My partner proposed in the December and so I’ve been very busy wedding planning and getting lots of things booked - which has been wonderful but I’m the exact same as you… we now have everything covered (it was probably my distraction too because I have literally everything we could book with a deposit… booked 🙄😂)
Now that we can sit back and look forward to it (June 2024), I’ve found myself back here and on the TTC train once again 👀
myself and partner feel the exact same as you guys - losing money or trying to change dates (in the grand scheme of things) is far more worthwhile than holding off and pushing everything back!
Im currently stressing as I’m late for my period with zero reason - negative tests, no symptoms, and no explanation. Wondering now if it’s stress but also self diagnosing via google my early menopause 😖😂😂 honestly why do we do it to ourselves! Anyway, happy to keep in touch and pass the time 😆 xx

Livlaughloathe · 19/03/2023 09:30

So so sorry to hear that @Plantymcplant x

Kofifi · 19/03/2023 05:47

Im so sorry @plantymcplant. We are here for you if you want to talk about it!

Alexis7890 · 18/03/2023 20:48

@Plantymcplant im so sorry, thoughts are with you x

Feliciacat · 18/03/2023 20:24

Oh @Plantymcplant I am so sorry to hear this. I’d been delighted for you and feeling excited for you.

I don’t know if you want to talk about it but how are you feeling?

Plantymcplant · 18/03/2023 19:52

Well I am back. I started miscarrying today :(

RegardingPersephone · 18/03/2023 17:22

Not sure if I'm tricking myself into seeing lines but thought I saw some very faint ones today on internet cheapies and a boots early test. Could find any first response ones. Think they should be darker at this point based on others I've seen but also not sure on ovulation so 🤷

Kofifi · 18/03/2023 11:11

Welcome back livlaughloath and sorry to hear about what happened. I totally relate to wanting to go with the flow but being unable to.
Im day 25 of cycle and although I have pretty irregular cycles I feel like I'm going to do get my period in 10 days or so. I didn't use ovulation tests this month, just checked temperature. First time monitoring so I could be wrong but it did seem to show ovulation around day 16 and we had sex quite a few times in the days before that. As much as i want to get pregnant it wouldnt be the worst thing to have another month to lose weight and improve my health. So lets see. Good luck everyone.

@Ditzydaisychain please do not listen to your "friend". My period was 2 days. Currently pregnant.

RegardingPersephone · 17/03/2023 07:23

Hi all,
I'm 11DPO (I think) and fell into the trap of testing early!
Tested yesterday and I don't know if I had line eyes but I thought I saw something immediately upon reading it but then talked myself out of it.
Tested this morning and had this... Can anyone else see it?!

@Mitcx 45 weeks is a ridiculous amount of time!! Can I ask which part of the country you are in? I know it's a bit of a postcode lottery but now worrying we may be in it for the long haul too!

Mitcx · 15/03/2023 17:49

Thanks @taytay2020 its ridiculous isn’t it!
i feel quite let down because when i was first referred I was expecting quite a long wait (probably not quite that long) but receiving the letter to say if I hadn’t heard by March put that expectation in my mind. I’d sort of planned in my head I’d be getting sorted now and perhaps be starting treatment and for a that to be such a long way off is quite soul destroying. Out of my control though so I guess I just have to accept it
