I have babies on the brain and I just dont pay much attention to what Im typing but I think hopefukky may be one of the most funny typos

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 14:57

I know what you mean, I still miss working part time (I have only worked full time for 2 years). Even worse, I can't help thinking, "what if it takes years to get pg, I might have to keep working for ages!!".

My aim is to have baby mid-end 2009, go back to work part time mid 2010 after 9 months mat leave, have dc2 2011/12, have another 9 months (or maybe a year by then) maternity leave then quit work for good. Want to be able to be at home full time by the time dc1 is 4 so I can home ed, at least till dc1 is 5/6 which is a more suitable school starting age IMO. But since when has any of my life gone to plan...

NatalieJane · 13/02/2008 14:52

LMAO Kay, hopefukky Made me giggle

BB, try not to worry about making a mistake, we all do it from time to time. Fuck 'em if they are being arsey.

I quite like being a SAHM, think I will miss it whenever it is I do try to get a job. But I have a bit of a dream of being a midwife, when the kids have grown up, I am looking forward to being the one watching instead of labouring!!

DS1 has after school club today so still have another hour of waiting to go and get him. I do it every day, sit and clock watch till I have to go and get him, and then he comes in, makes a mess, and I am clock watching for bed time then! LOL

BeMyLilBaby · 13/02/2008 14:52

I know deep down that today isnt anything to worry about i think i feel more annoyed bacause none of it is directly my fault its just the buck stops with me...i dont think the having to wait to march to get signed off is helping my strress levels either, im very sensitive to it...

im feel all arg!

anyway on mat leave front im gonna have the full whack!! hopefully will be able to accrue savings go back for minimum required and then leave or even get sacked if need be.. get a nice lil job a few days a week at nice comfy tesco!

kayzisbroody · 13/02/2008 14:47

I found it really hard to go back after 6 I dont know how I'll cope after 9

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 14:45

I hate working too . I work with a really nice bunch of people, in a job which most of the time is ok, close to home, pays not great but ok for my town, but still, I hate working! Would love to be a SAHM, not going to be able to afford that though, still I will have 9 whole months off maternity leave and then will be able to work part time, can't wait!!!!

BeMyLilBaby · 13/02/2008 14:42

BeMyLilBaby · 13/02/2008 14:31

Arg this has officially been the day from hell...i hate days like this... ive admitted my mistake and although its not huge its cost the business so i feel shit but on the otherhand i am the only actually bringing money in so.... ARG i wish i didnt have to work

kayzisbroody · 13/02/2008 14:06

Oh BB Everyone makes mistakes. Believe me I do.
Dh is taking me out to York for the day Saturday then taking me for a meal.

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 14:04

Well whenever I make a mistake (I do, everyone does) I always own up. Most of the time my boss repects my honesty. Sometimes the shit just hits the fan. You have to admit it, apologise and work out how to rectify it and 9/10 you will be repected for being honest and sorting the problem out. The other 1/10 you will just be in the shit, but hey, everyone has a day in the naughty corner every now and again.

BeMyLilBaby · 13/02/2008 13:27

ive jsut made a mistake at wrk and now ive owned up i feel really pants....insecurities rising...

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 12:27

Hi BB, absolutely nothing

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 12:26

I loved getting married too. I never walked anywhere without a stick at least, even bought a parasol to use as a walking stick on the day. Didn't need it, a combination of strategically placed chairs and sheer will power and excitment got me through the day, even managed to dance the night away . Could barely move the next day but it was worth it. DH keeps saying we will get married again in vegas for our 10th anniversary in the little white chapel, which might be fun! Still, as much as I loved getting married I love being married more, so I wouldn't want to do it again cos it would mean not being married!

BeMyLilBaby · 13/02/2008 12:21

hello chatter boxes!

kay that is a lovely story made me well up!
Playing you have more patience than me, waiting is not something i do well!

whats everyone got planned for the weekend? x

kayzisbroody · 13/02/2008 12:08

Playing - My mums friend had a horse riding accident and couldnt walk, she had loads of physio and was due to be getting married and they decided to go ahead with it anyway as it was all booked and planned.
She amazed everyone as she walked down the aisle. She had re learnt to walk and hadn't told anyone except her dad. It was amazing no one could believe their eyes I know I couldnt. She still took her wheelchair on honeymoon with her so she didnt get to tired.

I'd love to get married again, it was such a good day.

kayzisbroody · 13/02/2008 12:05

Good Luck Teuch with your valentines day procreating!!
Fingers crossed for BFP in a couple of weeks!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 12:01

too many typos, I meant of course "thought for the day"

Teuch · 13/02/2008 12:00

LOL Kay - I was early for my wedding! Caused a right panic at the church...

LG&T...boo!! Could still change though!

I got faint positive on OV test just now, so I think I am indeed gearing up for some Valentine's procreating

Can't stay long - got to get house presentable as 'baby group' is here this afternoon!! There was a baby boom last year, swelling the population by 5% (okay, there were 5 babies...) and we get together every wednesday for a natter and cake

I have had to learn patience. When I got ill (second time) and had to leave uni, couldn't work, couldn't walk more then 100yds, so was pretty much stuck in the house alone all day, I had to learn to roll with things. I am or certainly was, by nature, quite impatient but have learnt that patience and perservance does get you their in the end zas long as you keep the faith in yourself and your ability. I have to keep reminding myself of all the good things I have in my life and how far I have come in a few short years. When I look back, although I walked down the isle I still had to take my wheelchair on honeymoon, I remember my DH pushed me round Chichen Iza (Mayan ruins) in my wheelchair oven uneven ground and 35 degree heat, just so I had enough energy to climb to the top of the temple! When I remember things like that, where I have come from, what I have achieved and how lucky I am, waiting a few more months seems easy! Anyhow, that is enough on "thought for the say" really must do some work

kayzisbroody · 13/02/2008 11:49

I'm terribly impatient sometimes.
When we got married I was getting really annoyed as they said I had to wait as its traditional to be late!

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 11:37

waiting is something I am quite used to (hence the name) had to wait 3 1/2 years to get married so I was well enough to walk down the isle (still wanted kids then but wanted to get married first and was too ill to have a baby) and have been waiting since then (another 3 and a but years) to have kids! I seem to have spent all my 20's waiting!!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 11:30

Yep, the broodiest wont go, its pretty much all I think about some days but I have wanted DC's for years so a few more months is nothing!!

kayzisbroody · 13/02/2008 11:27

I cant help looking at baby stuff and maternity clothes. Mothercare have sent me 2 catalogues in the last week I think they are trying to tell me something

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/02/2008 11:24

For the same reason I am posting on MN and am not a mum
