OO Kay that means you have a decision to make on where to continue. Might be worth stopping even if its to regualate your cycle?

Right ladies I am off home so will probably not post again tonight.

kayzr · 05/02/2008 17:31

They ran out yesterday. Then I have a week before Im meant to start again.

Playingthewaitinggame · 05/02/2008 17:30

Hi Guys,

Kay, you are mot stupid, sometimes men behave just like kids themselves!

Just had a nose on the pg threads (I do sometimes ) and couldn't resist posting on a thread about bras as the company I used to work for do a really good maternity bra. Not sure it was that well received though, maybe I will just stay here where its safe!

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 17:27

So, have you both decided to go ahead after this pack of pills? When do they run out?

kayzr · 05/02/2008 17:23

I changed my mind and world war 3 breaks out, he changes his mind and expects a cuddle am I completely stupid?
He is now flicking through the M&P catalogue
Men!!

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 17:21

Why don't you book into see your GP, ask him the pro's and con's of carrying the extra weight through pregnancy? He could give you a bit of an MOT, check your BP and blood sugar ect. just to give you a good picture of how it will be. Then hopefully you'd have some good convincing positive news to tell DH.

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 17:19

Bloody hell!!

Can you explain to him that you can't cope with him changing his mind like that? I know I couldn't! Ask him to talk to you if he is worried about anything.

Maybe he has just had a shitty day, we all do sometimes.

Glad it is over, for now at least

kayzr · 05/02/2008 17:17

He says he isnt bothered about the MD so I'm not sure if thats it. He has offered to cook dinner tho

kayzr · 05/02/2008 17:16

He is a bit worried about finances, he has just come creeping over saying I'm sorry lets have a baby tomorrow. I'm about 4 stone overweight as I'm just over 13st according to the pregnancy books I got when expecting ds even tho mw said I was underweight and the books say to weigh less than I did then

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 17:14

Awww Kay, I don't know what to say... it is one thing him never saying he wanted a 2nd, and you hoping he'd change his mind, but to go from all for it, and getting annoyed when you looked at catalogues before him, to saying he doesn't want another, is a completely different kettle of fish.

I would do like I said before, give him a few days, a week maybe to calm down, see if he comes up with any reason's on his own, if not broach the subject carefully, and take it from there.

I really hope you can sort it out sweetie, what a nightmare for you And BB has a good point about the MD.

BeMyLilBaby · 05/02/2008 17:10

perhaps he worries about LO's muscular dystrophy?

BeMyLilBaby · 05/02/2008 17:09

All that over being a little overweight? how little? i mean im overweight but my dp wouldnt use that against me, more than his lifes worth! any other reasons you can think of? perhaps finances emotional etc?

kayzr · 05/02/2008 17:06

He says he does but thinks that me being a little bit overweight is going to be a problem. Its caused a huge row and he threaten to walk out so I dont think we'll be having any more kids

largeginandtonic · 05/02/2008 16:57

I love Ikea and have quite a few bits from there, all good. A day trip is a great idea, eat the meatballs and mooch The youngest ds has the Ikea cot, it is very sweet and excellent quality.

Hope dh changes his mind, NJ is right, just drop the converstaion and dont ask for a while. Men!!

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 16:54

Kay, you don't think something has happened to suddenly make him change his mind? Maybe he has had a big bill for something that has thrown him off course? Or maybe it has hit him how big a deal it is, and he has got a bit spooked? You know him best (obviously!!) does he do this type of thing a lot? Is he likely to change his mind back?

kayzr · 05/02/2008 16:42

Ds will be nearly 2 by the time we have the baby. He didnt seem to mind at the weekend and has been moaning that I havent waited for him to look through the new catalogues.
BLOODY MEN

Teuch · 05/02/2008 16:38

Whatever you do, don't let it be a battle of wills, as no-one can win...

OP posts:
Teuch · 05/02/2008 16:38

it is a woman's perogative to change her mind!!!

Just casually say "well, if you don't think you are up to it..." That should get him dragging you off to the bedroom

It is not a nice feeling thinking you have to persuade your other half to procreate...if you can explain that it is not just about being broody, but that you have had more time to think about it and, in fact, throwaway comments such as DS1's age don't really factor anymore.

Obviously hard facts like loans, etc, don't change...but your view of how things would work depending on dates can! IYSWIM???

kayzr · 05/02/2008 16:33

He is driving me insane. He just wont shut up about it now. I might not bother and leave ds as an only child

Playingthewaitinggame · 05/02/2008 16:30

well nothing much has changed. DS will be about 2 (give or take a couple of months) and you might not get pg straight away, so DS might be over 2 by the time dc2 arrives.

I am sure you will get through to him!

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 16:29

Oh no Kay, hope this is just a repeat of me on Saturday, I posted one minute I thought DH had changed his mind, the next post he'd said yes!

How old is DS now?

Tread carefully, give him a few days without mentioning it, and then aproach him again, he might surprise you!

kayzr · 05/02/2008 16:25

He has just said "You wanted to wait until ds was 2 whats changed?" He changes his mind about loads of stuff, like when I made his lunch yesterday with ham sandwiches like he asked for then he got home and moaned he wanted cheese

Playingthewaitinggame · 05/02/2008 16:25

hmm, not only can I not type today, I dont seem to be able to use my computer!! Maybe its a pg sympton?

BeMyLilBaby · 05/02/2008 16:23

thanks for the suggestions, i think il go and have a look around in a bit, maybe drive up there for the day one day how sad am i day trip to ikea ha ha ha! x

Playingthewaitinggame · 05/02/2008 16:23

Kayzr, thats a really mean thing to say, bad DH! I dont think being pg is dangerous if you are overweight, just obese. It can make it a little harder ttc but not more dangerous. Sounds like he is fighting for excuses to delay it, I am sure he will come round, men can take a while to get used to the idea of another obe but normally get there in the end!
