I know the feeling i still have some weight to shift but keep telling myself that may as well get baby 2 out the way first. Just lazyness really....

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 15:39

3 stone. Its just the weight I put on from having ds. I'd really like to get into my old clothes.
I just to excercise more really

lardylumps · 09/02/2008 15:37

Kay i know you have probably already said but how much weight do you need to lose?

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 15:34

July seems ages away. I want to lose most of my extra weight before we go so I can sunbathe and get a good tan. I'm half tempted to cheat and get a fake tan before I go

schneebly · 09/02/2008 15:31

diege - a very amusing scottish (yay!) comedian. He is always on 'mock the week' DH loves him and I wanted to get him tickets as it is his birthday and our anniversary this month but they sold out before I even knew!

lardylumps · 09/02/2008 15:30

Kay your holiday sounds great hope you have a lovely time. My waters broke on the 20th but dd didn't arrive until the 22nd!!

Diege · 09/02/2008 15:26

LULU, thanks so much . I am an epidural addict, probabloy because I am a real panicker when in labour which I think has resulted in a 'I'll have everything available lest I feel even a twinge' approach! . I'll def. give you a shout for some contacts when necessary! .
Schneebly: who's Frankie Boyle?

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 15:08

Lardy my ds is the 20th March!!!

Does anyone know if surfing while pg is going to be dangerous?

Lulumama · 09/02/2008 15:06

hello diege !! am a bit far from warrington but know a couple of fab doulas in the area, and am happy to tell you anything i know about homebirth and doulas in general ! happy ttc!

schneebly · 09/02/2008 15:05

oh diege - I want to be in warrington tonight! Frankie Boyle is live at Pyramid and Parr and I couldn't get tickets

schneebly · 09/02/2008 15:03

kay - hol sounds fab!

Diege - thanks for your comments. I agree about the student thing. I think you are also more likely as you get older to really know what you want to do and therefore be more committed. I was a terrible student first time round!

Lardylumps - I personally dont think there is a 'best' age gap but I recall reading some research which concluded that the best age gap in terms of transition for existing child was less that 2 years or more than 4 years - not saying I agree but interesting reading.

Diege · 09/02/2008 15:02

Schneebly, gaps-wise I think there are pros/cons to all of them. I have 16 monthsd between dd1 and dd2, and they are so close it's scary. OK, they fight but then, as my friend says, are liek a pair of little old ladies who have known each othjer all their life (finishing each others sentences, holding hands/linking arms spontaneously when out). DD3 is 3 years younger than dd2, and while she had just 'fitted in', part of my reasoning for no.4 is so that dd3 has a similar rerlationship with no.4 (ok, taking lots forgranted here!).
Hi LULU! We've never spoken, but I may need your advice in the future! Contemplating a home birth with LO4, and thinking about a Doula (I'm in Warrington)

lardylumps · 09/02/2008 15:01

kay my dd is one on March 22nd. was looking to start ttc after that.

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 14:57

Lardy when is your dd's birthday? My ds is 10 months old.
I'm not sure it really matters to much. With any luck my ds will be about 23 months old when I have my next one.

Diege · 09/02/2008 14:56

Sounds like a good plan Schneebly . For what it's worth, I am an uni lecturer and I have to say the most committed students are those with babies/families. In fact, the more children/responsibilities, the more organised the student! Think it's to do with the fact that when you have lots on you CANNOT put things off [diege pushes untouched pile of exam papers out to sight]and I have to say students with babies are never late handing things in! (whereas your free and single 18 year old is generally hopeless!
I also need to shift some weight - about 8 pounds or so. Am thinking of doing a fitness dvd - the new Davina one perhaps?

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 14:56

I have about 3 stone to lose. I still have the baby weight from ds.
We're going on holiday the 19th July for a week in Devon. Its a big family holiday as there are about 10 of us going and a few of us said we'd try surfing. Im really looking forward to it as our last holiday was our honeymoon and that was about 18 months ago

lardylumps · 09/02/2008 14:56

Every time i see a pregnant lady i geet really broody. Then i see dd and think no want to spend more time wiht you first.

What is the best gap to have between children in your oppinion.

schneebly · 09/02/2008 14:55

true! I still need to get DH to say yes though! He will though

Lulumama · 09/02/2008 14:54

schneebly · 09/02/2008 14:52

schneebly · 09/02/2008 14:52
