Thusday coming LG&T give yourself the required 14 days (but if you want to try it now, I am happy for you to do so!! )

Yuk chicken pox, neither of mine have had it yet, thought DS1 had it whilst I was pregnant with DS2, I had to go for a blood test because I haven't had it, but never got the results and DS1's couple of chicken pox type spots cleared up within a week, so don't know to this day if it was CP or not. Good job you OV'ed already, don't think I fancy having a GOF with a man covered in spots!!

kayzisbroody · 12/02/2008 12:02

LOL,
here's me wanting to move forward and everyone else wanting to go backwards.

But if I ttc and concieve now I'll be 5 months pg when I go on holiday.
Tho I may be able to get away with a bikini

largeginandtonic · 12/02/2008 12:01

Diege · 12/02/2008 11:57

Oh yes, my own rule too . Just worried about sickness and effect it will have on my work etc (things get easier work-wise in June). Will that do? .

Diege · 12/02/2008 11:10

Morning . Just a quickie from me as snowed under at work!!!
BB, sending lots of sympathy for your nan . Be strong, and as others have said we are all here for you . Think NJ's suggestions of some nice nightwear and smellies is a lovely idea .
Oh and if it's OK [diege ducks and cringes] can I go back to May please??

kayzisbroody · 12/02/2008 10:32

kayzisbroody · 12/02/2008 09:40

Im dreading tell work when I'm pg, there is always someone pg at work, and its normally always someone on the deli which I work on. My supervisor will probably cry. She has lost 3 members of staff due to pg

BeMyLilBaby · 12/02/2008 09:34

LOL I've had that many times, I look for things and what I want doesn't come up

NatalieJane · 12/02/2008 09:28

Don't feel bad for talking about it on here BB, the thread doesn't always have to be led by Diege's humour

Sorry I don't do baby books..... have you looked on t'inernet? Just be careful what you put in google to search for....! I was searching for Thomas the Tank Engine not long ago, and what came back WAS NOT Thomas the Tank!

kayzisbroody · 12/02/2008 09:27

I have the pregnancy for dummies book and its really good. It found it a great help when I was expecting ds.

BeMyLilBaby · 12/02/2008 09:24

Thanks for that aswell NJ posted while you were posting, i think i might pop in with a few gifts like you said

BeMyLilBaby · 12/02/2008 09:23

I think im just gonna stay positive, anyway lets change the subject! WHo has a recommendation for a baby book i can buy that i havent already read?

Ive read both of vicki iovines (best friends guide to preg, and BFG to motherhood)
Rough guide to preg and birth, rough guide to babies, G-F contented lil baby, NCT book of sleep, and mums on abbies by mumsnet...any recommendations? i like reading it helps me do something constructive with my excitement

NatalieJane · 12/02/2008 09:21

BB, cancer is such a scarey illness. People tend to think cancer equals 6 hellish months before you die in agony, but it normally doesn't mean anything as dramatic as that. It is perfectly fine for you to be feeling bad for yourself. Someone you love is poorly. And I am sure your Nan would understand any of her family and friends feeling bad, although if she is anything like my Gran she would rather cut her own toes off than make anyone feel bad!

Staying positive and believing are the very best things you can do, but make sure you don't bottle up any of the other emotions, that is when things go wrong.

Can you maybe take her some nice pressies (not talking about magazines and grapes here!) Maybe some new PJ's or some nice bath goodies so she can have a nice soak in the hospital or whatever? I think bringing nice things makes you feel better, almost as though you are doing something to help.

kayzisbroody · 12/02/2008 09:19

You shouldn't feel guilty, I'd be terrified if it was my nan
