How's everyone doing?

I'm really excited/relieved because I finally found my peak - after months of testing!
I peaked yesterday on CD15. My cycles are average 25/26 days so it's later than I thought. It means on previous months we've been trying slightly too early.. we've been DTD every other day since CD6 just in case 🙈 😴
I just feel glad that I'm hopefully ovulating and we're actually in with a chance this month.

Ahh glad you found your peak. ! Mine was a lot later than expected too but have dtd every evening or morning this month to be sure we don’t miss it anyway 😂
I have a week and half to wait now to test & it’s really dragging ..
anyone have any plans for the weekend x

Hello 🙂 feeling a bit fed up having to wait till next Sunday to test. How are you? Oh you are the same as me my cycle averages 25-27 days and I peaked on day 16. I had my progesteone levels done on friday so fingers crosse di actually ovulated.Nice to hear someone in the same boat! You have a very good chance if it's been every other day, I don't know how you have the energy 😂

@Morticia31 yessssssss the disappointment is the worst but like you said, hopefully we all get what we want. So hella baby dust and blessings😍

AgeGapBbe · 16/01/2023 22:43

9dpo but couldn’t resist doing a early cheapy test. BFN of course! Will see how I go and test again in a few days if AF doesn’t appear first 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Morticia31 · 16/01/2023 21:47

@hopefulkiy1020 it does make you anxious doesn’t it .. I feel like I have a good chance this month which makes me even more scared because of how much the disappointment hurts,
but hopefully we all get what we want this month ✨

Ah that’s a pain! I’ve been monitoring cycles for 11 months, and ovulation every month for about 6 months I think now- though sometimes I go straight from ‘not fertile’ to ‘peak’ or I get 1 day of warning… so I’m thinking we need to dtd more going forward, as soon as my period’s done, really.

Hardly123 · 16/01/2023 14:55

AgeGapBbe · 16/01/2023 14:53

@Hardly123 how are you getting on?

Thanks for asking! My period came after 29 days (35 the month before) so I think unfortunately we were DTD at slightly the wrong time (too late). Will have to see how next month goes. A little disappointing! How are you?

AgeGapBbe · 16/01/2023 14:53

@Hardly123 how are you getting on?

AgeGapBbe · 16/01/2023 14:53

I’m at 9dpo now, went pram shopping for my sister on Saturday. She and my mum saying ‘it’ll be you next’ and I’m just not convinced it’ll happen for us.

Tempted to test tonight, I’m (in theory) 4 days off AF appearing and I’ve got the super cheap super early tests in a big bag so I don’t limit when I use them really- I find it scratches an itch!

DP had his chat with the DR last Friday and they’re going to send him out a pot for a sample.

February will mark 12 months of no contraception, I never thought it would take this long!

Morticia31 · 11/01/2023 19:25
  • im not mum 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

@Hardly123 I get like that every month ! 🤞🏼 for you tho ,
mum having a weird cycle im on day 12 and still having a tiny bit of spotting never usually happens ! Worried it’s messed me up for this month 😞

@Betsy21 I think cheap ones are the only way otherwise it could get very expensive!
I use easy@home sticks with the premom app. Someone recommended them to me on another TTC thread a few months back.
I like it because you can upload a pic of the stick directly into the app and it sort of interprets the darkness of your line and gives you a number.
Maybe something to keep in mind for future cycles if you need it 😊

Ooh I like the sound of these being able to load them in to an app. Will defo look in to these, thanks again!

Hardly123 · 11/01/2023 18:23

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm about 10 dpo (I think) and feeling quite anxious waiting. Feel like I'll be disappointed if I'm negative and scared if I'm positive (!) 🙄lol🙄 . What about anyone else?

Morticia31 · 11/01/2023 18:00

I agree definitely go for the cheap ones I get through soo many but they’ve been accurate for me soo far x

@Pika93 congratulations!!!

@AgeGapBbe it’s a bit hard not to be jealous sometimes isn’t it , not in a horrible way just a kind of emotional way .

welcome @afinethingindeed I’ve been trying sort of casually for quite a few months now too and it’s getting me down a bit , hopefully this is our month x

@Betsy21 hiii .. I always find it easier to collect in a cup too and find my lines change if I test multiple times in a day and can go from barley there to really dark over night ! Good luck

Ah ok thank you 😊 tbh I was expecting the lines to get darker suppose that would just seem like the norm. I shall keep testing, thank you!

Betsy21 · 11/01/2023 11:39

afinethingindeed · 10/01/2023 15:35

I've always collected in a cup. Which tests are you using? I should imagine it's fine, maybe you need to be careful not to flood it. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to answer you definitively though.

Thank you, sorry I'm new to all this lol. I've just used cheap ones from Home Bargains.
