Well here we are again, day 1 of new cycle. It’s been over a year now (I’d ducked out of these threads for ages). Finally going to start with some private investigations. But not for a few weeks.

Anyone got any fun ideas for this month?

Today is fertile day number 1, dh and I have totally failed our sex every day in january challenge and it looks like ds is putting paid to any chance tonight πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
I agree with @NatGee day one is proper blood flow day.

NatGee · 05/01/2023 19:02

Hello everyone, may I please join? If we conceive this month, it'd be due on the 12th October
AF arrived today on what will be cycle 9 for us TTC #1. I am 38 so time is very much against me, wishing everyone good luck and baby dust to everyone on this thread !
@Bluemilan only when you see actual blood flow should you count as your first day :)

Bluemilan · 05/01/2023 18:37

So AF arrived this evening. Would you count today as cd1 or tomorrow?

Mine arrived 11.30 in the evening NYE πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I wondered the same and counted that as CD1, all half hour of it 🀭 arbitrary line but I guess it's got to be somewhere

MrsJGrealish · 05/01/2023 18:46

@Bluemilan if it's more than spotting I'd say today. Sorry name change to confuse everyone

Bluemilan · 05/01/2023 18:37

Arghhh so af is officially one day late today, never ever late, usually comes like clockwork but got a bfn the last few days on cheapies so I know there's no chance of me actually being pregnant and not willing for the disappointment of seeing another blank test!

hipposinacircle · 05/01/2023 08:39

Joining in! And definitely recognise a few names here from similar threads a little while back πŸ‘‹πŸ»

I've had to have a few months off from TTC #3 due to having methotrexate for an ectopic but am just waiting for AF to show so that we can start trying again.

Due to have a Hycosy later this month which will hopefully help. My fertility consultant had recommended it before the ectopic anyway, so it seems even more pertinent now. Hoping all will be clear and we can try for our October baby 🀞🏻

MrsJGrealish · 05/01/2023 07:46

@Bluemilan I've been there..its usually the snoring πŸ™„

AussieMum888 · 04/01/2023 21:54

That's me out this month! Already researching how to increase chances for next mont
haha....what a journey TTC is!! Baby dust to everyone else this month x

Bluemilan · 04/01/2023 00:38

Still waiting for af to arrive tomorrow, I'm feeling all the emotions this evening so expecting it to arrive by morning! I've just stomped downstairs to the sofa because DH keeps rolling onto my side and I'm just feeling very irrational about it all πŸ˜‚.

JD90 · 03/01/2023 23:34

I'm currently 1dpo on my 1st cycle ttc since recovering from a ruptured ectopic and surgery at the start of October. Am desperately trying to not get caught up in it all as I know it's probably going to take a while, 100% going to get caught up though πŸ€£πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

MilkyAndFluffy · 03/01/2023 23:24

Hi ladies, joining if possible πŸ€—cycle 5 of TTC #1. Convinced myself it worked last month, but got my BFN on 13dpo then my AF rocked up the next day. So back into CD2….. Sending you all baby dust πŸ’“

B93 · 01/01/2023 23:38

@AussieMum888 I had blood tests done to make sure I was ovulating after having a miscarriage and I’m sure that is testing progesterone levels. I have had these bloods done three times now and all has come back fine. They won’t investigate further until March now.

It took us 15 months to conceive our DD but was never timing, monitoring ovulation, etc. I have always had fairly irregular cycles too, sometimes spotting other times not. Not sure if I am just noticing it more now because I am more aware of my cycles πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

AussieMum888 · 01/01/2023 21:43

@Hummusanddipdip yeah I'm thinking it's progesterone levels not being quite right too..however I've always spotted this amount and manage to have a healthy first pregnancy and although it took 9 months to conceive. Might ask Dr to write me up for blood work anyway?? 😊

Teaplease29 · 01/01/2023 21:40

@Bluemilan haha can you imagine not realising for 8 weeks now! I fell very easily with my first and I realise how lucky I am to be able to say that but I think it set me up into hoping the same would be the case the second time around and so I’m incredibly impatient.
I’m really aware too… ovulation gives me the most awful mood for one day - tearful, angry, end of the world type feeling and then the next day really sharp ovulation pains. So I feel quite confident that I know when I ovulated and would have anticipated a BFP around now if this were my month.
Fingers crossed for lots of lovely October babies!
I need to stock up on OPKs!

Bluemilan · 01/01/2023 21:34

@Teaplease29 it really is mental what we can convince ourselves of! I'm extremely aware of every tiny change in my body following ovulation now, whereas in my first pregnancy (teenager) I didn't realise until I was already 8 weeks and that was only because I hadn't bought tampons recently πŸ˜‚

Teaplease29 · 01/01/2023 21:04

I’d like to join. AF due in three days but BFN ok early response tests so we will be trying for Oct next month. I felt so convinced! Isn’t it crazy what your mind can do!

Bluemilan · 01/01/2023 20:57

I'm 11dpo today due af on the 4th, have quite bad cramping/pelvic pain which doesn't usually start until immediately before af's arrival so that's new but fairly sure I'm out so kind of hoping she arrives slightly earlier than planned so we can just get on with the next cycle. I've ordered tonnes of supplements for me and dh which he's thrilled about lol

Bluemilan · 01/01/2023 20:54

Sorry I meant to tag @B93 not @Hummusanddipdip πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Bluemilan · 01/01/2023 20:54

@Hummusanddipdip and @AussieMum888 my understanding is that pre-af spotting is due to progesterone levels! Xx

Hummusanddipdip · 01/01/2023 20:52

I've no idea about spotting @AussieMum888 the only time I've experienced it was the week before my period was due in August, I think I took about 20 pregnancy tests between then and coming on at the end of September.
Annoyingly I called the Dr's and was sent for blood tests 3 days before I started bleeding and they had me provide a sample to test, the same day I started bleeding, I told them there was no point, but they insisted.
They did my hormones in April after my freak 3 bleeds, but that was all normal and because they did the hormone test in April, it took me asking them to recheck for them to do that too (normal again)

I didn't know an ecropian could have an impact, so not sure on that one, sorry.

MrsCristianoX · 01/01/2023 20:28

@BiscuitLover3678 hey missus nice to see you back ❀️ I'll join if I'm allowed (haven't checked possible due date..scared to jinx anythingπŸ™ˆ so might be September). Cycle 7 after miscarriage and think I peaked today at CD14, unfortunately DH is out for the countπŸ™„

AussieMum888 · 01/01/2023 20:25

@B93 I'm the exact same!! Have you had anything checked out? I'm wondering whether to get my hormones tested to see there's not an imbalance?

B93 · 01/01/2023 20:18

@AussieMum888 I usually spot 2-5 days before my period. Which I then question every month if it’s implantation bleeding πŸ™ƒπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

AussieMum888 · 01/01/2023 20:02

This is CD24 for me, about 7DPO. I'm spotting which I often do for up to 1 week before AF arrives. Anyone else experience this too? I'm convinced it's a hormonal imbalance but I've also got an ecropian which might be the cause.
