Well here we are again, day 1 of new cycle. It’s been over a year now (I’d ducked out of these threads for ages). Finally going to start with some private investigations. But not for a few weeks.

Anyone got any fun ideas for this month?

Hi I often experience brown tinges in my cm or even ewcm and I presume it's old blood left over from my Af. I may be wrong tho. Try not to worry x

Thanks so much for your reply! I’ll wait it out and see what happens (and try not to worry too much) x

Hi everyone update from me, I’m on CD15. Hope this isn’t TMI, I just need somewhere to vent my confusion. On CD13 I noticed the tiniest bit of colour in my discharge, then yesterday on CD14 I had brown discharge whenever I wiped. Today I’ve woken up and there is a bit of brown discharge (only when wiping again) but not more, in fact I’d say less than yesterday so far.

I am so confused what my body is doing and just feel a bit uneasy really. I have shorter cycles but they are regular around 23-25 days. To be starting my AF again on CD13 would be so not normal for me, that’s only 7 days after my last AF finished & at least 10 days before next AF is due.

I know things CAN change sometimes but it’s so frustrating. Anyway I’m not sure what is happening so I guess I’ll wait it out and see if AF does appear properly πŸ˜”

@Betsy21 you could be ovulating later. I had my bloods done over a three consecutive months to check I was ovulating. My GP do bloods to check ovulation around C21-25 initially. If you have a longer cycle they alter this. I think to know exactly when you ovulate would need more thorough bloods and scans not sure πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ.

They maybe suspect you ovulate later and would like bloods later in your cycle to check this. Your hormone levels change in preparation for ovulation, then alter again. Your bloods could have shown the preparation but not the right levels to show ovulation. I am no medical professional though so don’t quote me on any of this 🀣

I suspected I was ovulating later based on ovulation tests and temperature checking. I ovulate around CD18-20. But my cycle is between 27-32 days. So some cycles I only have a 7 day luteal phase which is too short.

Currently on CD29 but I didn’t do any ovulation test or temperature monitoring this cycle so not sure on how many dpo. 🀞🏼

Thank you for the reply it been really helpful! I feel like I need to go back to school haha!

How many blood tests has the doctor requested you have? Is there a set amount?

Fingers crossed this is your month πŸ™ x

BambiBooBoo · 14/01/2023 22:54

@Enigma85 thanks- this could be ovulation then 🀞🏻

Enigma85 · 14/01/2023 22:50

Sorry to hear that @B93 :(

@BambiBooBoo I always get pains on my left side when ovulating

BambiBooBoo · 14/01/2023 22:42

My app just updated after I put in my symptoms of cramps, nausea and retching this morning, mood swings (even DH noticed them today) and cervical mucus thst was between EWCM and watery. Says I'm in my fertile week now 11th-16th πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
But we've been DTD every day anyways so I haven't missed my fertile week whenever it falls

BambiBooBoo · 14/01/2023 22:37

@Mrsrobinsonx no I don't. My cycles are irregular too but I conceived baby 1 without OPKS so didn't want to add something new to have to learn πŸ˜‚

Mrsrobinsonx · 14/01/2023 22:05

@BambiBooBoo Sounds promising.
do you have opk’s?

BambiBooBoo · 14/01/2023 22:00

@Mrsrobinsonx thanks that's helpful, it's more throbbing than cramping. Not too painful but didn't know what it was πŸ˜‚x

Mrsrobinsonx · 14/01/2023 21:59

@BambiBooBoo hi!
I personally always get ovulation pains every month, cramps/throbbing. Sometimes can be quite painful, others I barely notice it x

BambiBooBoo · 14/01/2023 21:46

I'm on CD15 and have been having some left side cramps for the past hour or so.

I noted this on my app and it's trying to change my fertile week from 17th-22nd to being fertile now to 16th Jan
But I'm not sure what's right πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Would you say this might be ovulation pain?
Is it common to get some cramps with ovulation?

B93 · 14/01/2023 21:37

I think I am out again this cycle. I have started spotting this evening 😭

At least there is no need to waste another test tomorrow.

Roobles79 · 14/01/2023 20:42

@natty83 keeping fingers crossed for us bothπŸ€—. I'm 40 in October!

Mrsrobinsonx · 14/01/2023 20:39

I’m on CD2 and ready for my period to be over already πŸ˜†πŸ€
I’m currently on cycle #4 trying for baby no.3!

Natty83 · 14/01/2023 19:21

@Roobles79 I am also 39 and trying for #2 (DS is 15 months) completely hear you about the exhaustion!

Mushroo · 14/01/2023 18:57

Joining! Cycle day 2 and due to ovulate around the 28th. This will be my first month trying for our first so very exciting / terrifying.

B93 · 14/01/2023 18:51

@WineCap and @ExcitedandNervousC1 give it a few days 🀞🏼. I am testing tomorrow which is 11-13dpo 🀞🏼

DH wants to book a holiday. If I am pregnant he is booking May half term. If not Summer holidays πŸ™ˆ

WineCap · 14/01/2023 18:07

@ExcitedandNervousC1 You're not out until you're out! I hope we're both still in with a chance. You just never know x

Bouncingbeat · 14/01/2023 17:30

CD1 and joining you all. October is my favourite month so here's hoping for a Halloween baby. πŸ€žπŸ»πŸŽƒ

Roobles79 · 14/01/2023 16:57

@enigma85 thank you. And you too. πŸ’•

Enigma85 · 14/01/2023 16:52

Sending you positive thoughts @Roobles79 - I'm 37.5 and trying for our first :( MMC and surgery end of December

Enigma85 · 14/01/2023 16:35

Sorry to hear that @ExcitedandNervousC1 - when was your MMC? I had one 28th December, no living children yet :(

Roobles79 · 14/01/2023 16:34

Hi can I join? Anyone late 30s pushing 40? I'm 39 and hoping for baby number 2, she was ivf due to unknown infertility then a cancer diagnosis for my hubby so we are trying naturally. Had a failed ivf transfer in the summer which resulted in a d and c so we are trying naturally to see what happens. I am due period next few days, getting cramps and some discharge but not sign of AF yet. Am pretty sure she is on her way. I try to use opk's but not very consistently. We only managed to try this month on day 12 so I'm not very hopeful. I can't manage every other day around fertile week to be honest, it's exhausting and I really value my sleep with a toddler 😳

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 14/01/2023 15:09

@WineCap yes tested today and BFN at 12DPO so feeling pretty devastated:( AF due Tuesday or Wednesday so not technically out but a FRER picked up mu last pregancy at 11DPO although ended in a MMC
