Well here we are again, day 1 of new cycle. It’s been over a year now (I’d ducked out of these threads for ages). Finally going to start with some private investigations. But not for a few weeks.

Anyone got any fun ideas for this month?

Hello all,
A fellow lurker here. Ive never posted to one of these forums before but here goes.. currently 5dpo TTC #2. DD is 3.5 yrs and DH had testicular cancer in the intervening years so things have changed a bit. No concerns from his side of things but expecting it to take longer this time. We conceived DD on cycle 2. Had raging hyperemesis with her all the way through so this isnt something we’re entering into lightly.
Been using OPK along with sperm meets egg plan. Had a chemical preg last month so we must have done something right!
Today i’ve experienced mild cramping on and off, and sore boobs. Planning to test sunday (10dpo) 🀞🏼🀞🏼

Lasereyes12 · 24/01/2023 17:06

I’m joining the thread. TTC #1, I’m 10 DPO but have long 35 day cycles. Usually by this point I have very sore boobs, sometimes spotting 4 days before AF as well but this month so far absolutely nothing! Getting nervous my cycles are starting to be irregular as they had just settled into a pattern after stopping the pill.

Teatime32 · 24/01/2023 16:13

@Natty83 @ukMummyof1 I’m joining you with AF arriving today. Tbh I’m not angry because I’m one month out of lap surgery where I had to have an ovary removed so I’m just so happy my one remaining ovary is working! The only time I’ll be happy to see AF. Hoping feb will be our month - I don’t trust OPKs so will just be going ham πŸ˜‚

TunnocksTCake · 24/01/2023 15:24

Hello @SoThisIsMyNameNow thanks for the positive story, love hearing about people getting their bpfs and I'm so glad you finally found your correct O date :)

Also welcome @NervousNoo you're one day behind me, and I am also going crazy symptom spotting but have managed to hold out testing so far... mainly because I dont have any in the house!! I have already convinced myself I am 100% pregnant though, I'm such an idiot!

Mrsrobinsonx · 24/01/2023 14:40

@MilkyAndFluffy yes I definitely will ☺️ my husband actually said this morning when we dtd β€˜I think you’re ovulating’ because he now knows my body and signs as well as me 🀣
so will keep it up over the next few days 🀞🏻

MilkyAndFluffy · 24/01/2023 14:35

@Mrsrobinsonx hey love, I would defo test later today as you may find you ovulate overnight. Me and my friend both experience this and without evening testing we would both miss our ovulation positives! She has just given birth to a gorgeous baby boy so I trust that process hah! Even if you don’t get a positive later and do in the morning, at least you won’t miss it by testing later. Sending you lots of luck and looks like it’s DTD time πŸ˜ƒ I agree the app always puts me ovulating too early so I always trust the tests over the app! Xx

NervousNoo · 24/01/2023 14:27

Hello, also a lurker needing to vent!
Congratulations to those with BFPs so far, much love and luck to those still trying.
I'm 36 TTC#1 with my OH (35), this is our 5th cycle trying. I'm on CD20 & 9DPO. Trying to hold out til Friday to test but my willpower will no doubt break. Had a couple of days feeling quite nauseous on 6&7 DPO and very tired today and yesterday but trying not to read too much into things.
The TWW has me so anxious and agitated every month, talking to my partner and he listens but he doesn't really get it. He wants this baby as much as I do but the biological pull (and clock!) isn't there the same way and despite my trying to explain he just doesn't grasp how slim and narrow our chances and windows really are.
Hope everyone is coping, just getting the words out feels so helpful! Xx

Hi all, came across this thread and I just wanted to pop on and let you all know my story. I have been TTC for 13 months. I had a chemical pregnancy last August. I used some ovulation tests this cycle and discovered that I was ovulating on CD 12. I usually have a 30 - 33 day cycle, and my Flo app always predicted ovulation on CD17. Anyways, we DTD on CD12 and I can confirm I am pregnant 🀰 I am so glad I didn't rely on my app this month. I am super nervous and I am experiencing cramps and lower abdomen pain. I am hoping this is a good sign, and praying that all goes well. Visiting my GP in the morning.

Mrsrobinsonx · 24/01/2023 13:34

@TunnocksTCake ok thank you!
this is why I’m glad I follow my body & use ovulation tests as my app is telling me to start testing in 2 days! So probably would have completely missed it if I did that. X

TunnocksTCake · 24/01/2023 13:24

@Mrsrobinsonx Definitely on the way there. I would probably test later on today, apprently late afternoon is a good time for OPK testing, and definitely in my experience I have a very short peak so it may be gone by tomorrow.

Mrsrobinsonx · 24/01/2023 12:50

Today’s opk. I’m thinking it may be positive tomorrow? 🀞🏻 or maybe even later today, don’t know if it’s worth testing again later.

I am 37 ttc we have a 3yr old DD and fell pregnant straight away but this time we have tried for 3mths with no BFP , really hoping it happens we would love another child .

Natty83 · 23/01/2023 22:48

@Hummusanddipdip I hope so!! πŸ’

Personally I would trust the ewcm over the app! Loads of things could have brought you forward, the app will just be making assumptions. My app never hits the same day the opks do but usually it puts me as the day before or after. I find the opks quite addictive because I'm not very regular, O for me is anywhere between cd8 and cd12 but some months I just have to take a break, I can get quite obsessive with too much data. It is pretty easy though, I usually just use the cheapies, once a day until I see it start to rise then it's pee like crazy looking for the peak 🀭 x

Maxime34 · 23/01/2023 22:38

Haha I wish my bladder had that kind of self control 🀣🀣 @MilkyAndFluffy

MilkyAndFluffy · 23/01/2023 21:54

@Maxime34 hahahaha the ovulation trick sounds good, why are we so obsessed with needing to pee on a stick please πŸ˜‚roll
on Friday morning. I’m also going to act like a toddler and try not to have a drink after 7pm Thursday night so I can go all night without needing the loo and it’ll be a very strong concentrated FMU… dunno if that’s even thing but makes me feel better πŸ˜†

Hummusanddipdip · 23/01/2023 21:24

Oh @Natty83 hopefully we'll both get Feb positives!!!!

I've checked my flo app today and because af arrived 2 days earlier than expected, the app moved my fertile days, dh and I apparently totally missed ovulation.... but my ewcm was on the 3 days I initially expected to ovulate. So now I'm really confused, I've never temped or used opks, are they worth it?

Maxime34 · 23/01/2023 20:26

@MilkyAndFluffy it really is but I'm sure it'll be Friday before we know it. I know I'll be so tempted on Wednesday but the disappointment gets stretched out the sooner you test when it's not your month... But still so tempting!! I might just do an ovulation test to keep me busy 🀣🀣

MilkyAndFluffy · 23/01/2023 19:58

@Maxime34
i was thinking of testing Friday too, but I’m right there with you, today feels like it’s been about 4 days when really I’m still on the same DPO arghhhh! So Wednesday may end up giving in!

oh soo sorry to hear about your previous losses (I must have missed that further up the thread) but I’m so glad they have given you something to try and help. Argh so frustrating the symptoms you get mirror pregnancy ones, I really feel for you! Any tips how to survive this week and hold out until Friday plz let me know😫I’m praying for us both x

Maxime34 · 23/01/2023 17:48

Congratulations @Teaplease29 amazing lines for so early!

ukMummyof1 · 23/01/2023 17:44

Hi, can I join? In on CD1 on month #6 (AF arrived this morningπŸ˜’) and I'm TTC baby #2 ❀️

AlleycatMarie · 23/01/2023 17:04

Welcome @NewMrsC , I have had to bully my dh into it this time! He doesn’t normally complain but he says he’s knackered after I’ve been demanding we dtd every other day!

NewMrsC · 23/01/2023 16:05

Do you mind if I join girls?

I'm 32 and DH is 34 this is cycle#1 TTC #1. I'm on cycle day 16, with cycles ~30-32 days.

I feel like I have no one to speak to as DH want's to 'see how things go' and doesn't want me to get too obsessed πŸ€”. Clearly a man and doesn't respect the fact that there's such a small window 😝.

Tried to 'encourage' DTD this morning and it's like he knew what I was doing and refused to participate😀- not like DH to turn it down 😝

Would be great to have some support buddies!

Natty83 · 23/01/2023 15:53

I am officially out. 2 days early - not that I'm complaining, onwards and upwards, sooner the better.

TunnocksTCake · 23/01/2023 15:09

@SidSparrow ah I'm 9DPO so close to you! If you did FMU test tomorrow you might have a fairly decent chance of seeing a line, especially if youre 11DPO today. Good luck!

@Teaplease29 oh its a nightmare isnt it! Just constant anxiety no matter what! They are unusual symptoms πŸ˜‚
I am REALLY trying to hold off until my period is due/ late to test which would be this weekend, but I cant see that happening. I am vaguely monitoring my BBT to see if it goes down over the next few days, I quite like the gentle warning that gives me that af is on her way rather than the harsh negative tests! Its going to be a looong week πŸ™„

Teaplease29 · 23/01/2023 14:18

@TunnocksTCake not really - just impatience and a sore throat and sore ears when I swallow - heard it can be a symptom but could just be something I have picked up! Had much less symptom wise than last week when I wasn’t pregnant!

Can’t win though as I’m now worried my hcg is too high too early and it could be a bad sign. I’m so so happy to have a BFP and know I’m so lucky but really forgot all of the anxieties that come with pregnancy!

when will you test @TunnocksTCake? Got everything crossed for you!
