Well here we are again, day 1 of new cycle. It’s been over a year now (I’d ducked out of these threads for ages). Finally going to start with some private investigations. But not for a few weeks.

Anyone got any fun ideas for this month?

@Franki01 waiting is so stressful! It's of course possible it's a chemical but it's also possible you implanted a couple of days ago, just got some spotting last night and your levels are rising fast. Useless advice but no surefire way to know unless you wait a few days and test again. Sending Baby Dust and everything crossed for you πŸ’ please let us know how it's going x

Natty83 · 01/02/2023 08:41

@Hummusanddipdip I haven't had it that I know of (but then when not ttc I never symptom spot the way I am now) but I think @JJ2023 has good advice to talk to GP if it happens more than once. Our bodies do such weird things all the time though and sometimes there's no clear reason why so it's probably nothing at all to worry about and just go on as normal for the month in case and if it is an anovulatory cycle then onwards and upwards to next month. So much easier said than done, I know. Sending Baby Dust x

I'm on CD17. Think I am 2DPO.
I have cycles anywhere from 28-34 days. My app says I'm not due to ovulate until this Sat 4th. But from my symptoms I'm pretty sure I ovulated 2 days ago. Pain in tummy, EWCM etc ... I don't do OPKs or temps etc ... were just going with a very relaxed approach atm. DTD throughout the month and hoping it will catch at some point.
This worked for conceiving DS who is now nearly 3. We have decided this is our last month TTC for now. (Other commitments throughout Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb) If doesn't work will start TTC again in July time but then with the OPKs etc...
Good luck everyone 🀞 xx

I don't know if putting this here or starting my own thread is best, but as I'm already part of this one I thought I'd ask you ladies first. I hope that's OK?

Last year I had some irregular periods, I had bloods, hormones and also an internal examination, all of which came back satisfactory and normal. My period ended last Monday, but today when I've wiped after using the toilet I've had thick brown (almost sludge like) discharge, so old blood. I've never had random spotting this late after a period, google is useless, my Flo app wants me to pay premium to look at what the many different things it could be are. I'm due to ovulate this weekend, if that makes a difference.

But have any of you had this?

Hi @Hummusanddipdip I’ve had this twice in the past year. It first happened around June, I ended up having a period then a week later seemed to come on again. My natural cycles app came up saying it was probably an anovulatory cycle where you don’t ovulate. It was the first time it happened.

And it happened again In January, had my period from 1st- 6th then a week later brown started similar to you. To start with I was confused then it turned to blood. I can only presume another anovulatory cycle… if it happens again I plan to speak to my GP. Since then this cycle seems ok, and I got a peak on OPKs.

Not sure if that’s helpful, appreciate it’s really unsettling though when it happens x

Hi all, I’ve been lurking this thread for a few weeks.. hoping someone can help!

We’re TTC #1 cycle 1. DTD once on solid smiley so didn’t think we’d be in for much luck. I started spotting last night and although I know hcg levels won’t be high enough until 48 hours from implantation I caved and did another test today.. I can see a faint line which has some colour, but now I’m worried it’s a chemical because I’m spotting and shouldn’t come up positive yet??? Yesterday was BFN

@MummyBear2519 I generally follow the drink til it's pink rule that you read about a lot here:) so wait until the positive test

ThomasinaLivesHere · 31/01/2023 20:12

Another one here who is waiting! My due date would be end of October so still have some time before can see if it worked.

MummyBear2519 · 31/01/2023 19:31

@Mrsrobinsonx my friends would instantly know something was up if I refused a drink although dry January worked well as a cover. Pretty sure I can fake drinking though and would be on cloud 9 if I got a positive pregnancy test. Few more days to go

Mrsrobinsonx · 31/01/2023 19:21

@MummyBear2519
I don’t drink whilst ttc but also not a big drinker in general! However I do worry in the 2ww if my mates give me a glass of wine I don’t wanna drink it 🀣 but I know it’s way too early to have any effect so I wouldn’t worry if you don’t know 100% maybe just don’t go too hard! X

MummyBear2519 · 31/01/2023 18:39

I’m currently in the waiting window. AF is due Monday but will be testing Saturday as have a big night out planned so want to know either way. What is everyone’s feelings on drinking with TTC? I’m 35 now and my youngest is 8 so it’s been a while and first time I’ve planned a pregnancy

hipposinacircle · 31/01/2023 10:33

Still here, hanging on. Waiting to ovulate still which will hopefully be in the next couple of days.

Had the HyCoSy last week which was uncomfortable but at least it's done now. Unfortunately it showed that my left tube is blocked which reduces our chances of conceiving naturally even further.

We had a call with our fertility consultant yesterday and she has recommended we try 3 cycles with Letrozole before moving to IVF. Feeling so disappointed but still holding onto a glimmer of hope that we might conceive before then ✨

2021lady · 30/01/2023 20:48

I'm in the tww now. Trying to be realistic. But man I just hope it works. It's been such a long time trying now.

Mushroo · 30/01/2023 18:06

@JJ2023 I might look into it if needed for next month, every little helps!

Not until 13/14 feb so I guess could be a nice valentines surprise! My cycles are normally 29 - 31 days

JJ2023 · 30/01/2023 17:45

@Mushroo fingers crossed for you too lovely!

I think we caught ovulation too but I was away for two days for work which would have been a good time to DTD aswell as it was like day 5/day 4 before ovulation.

The fertililly has been good - when taking it out you can really see how much it holds, so can only be a good thing that it pushes it all towards the cervix!

When is your AF due? I actually have a shorter cycle so it’s not quite a TWW, AF due around 7th Feb.

Mushroo · 30/01/2023 17:02

@JJ2023 best of luck! how have you found the fertility?

I’m worried we haven’t DTD enough but we I think we should have caught ovulation (fingers crossed)

JJ2023 · 30/01/2023 16:50

I’m now in the TWW! Fingers crossed and baby dust to all. @Mushroo I would also love this to be the month, I agree about October being a lovely time of year :)

This is the first month where I actually managed to get a peak on OPKs so I know we have done all that we can. I also have been using fertililly this month which has been interesting!

Mushroo · 30/01/2023 14:03

Ovulating today so going to DTD again this evening and settle in for the TWW!

I can already feel it dragging, why is it so long!!

I really would like it to happen this month, I love October and think it’s a lovely time for a birthday.

Mrsrobinsonx · 30/01/2023 13:25

@madeofcodes hi! That probably means you’ve already ovulated.
on average after peak opk you will ovulate within 24 hours but can be up to 2 days. Then once ovulation has occurred the hormone goes back down meaning negative tests again x

madeofcodes · 30/01/2023 09:58

This has probably been asked 1 million times. My app said I was meant to ovulate yesterday, had peak opk Saturday PM and Sun AM. Tested opk this morning and v faint line. Does that mean I'm ovulating today?

Lasereyes12 · 29/01/2023 21:38

I’m now 2 days late for AF. Tests are BFN but I’ve got sore boobs, I’m starving and last week was so tired that for two days I had to nap at lunchtime which has never happened. There’s no way the BFP wouldn’t be showing yet though is there.

Jonesy88 · 29/01/2023 20:34

Congratulations on those positives ladies!

Im on CD 26 of a 30 day cycle, curiosity got the better of me and I tested. BFN with not a hint of anything else. I know it’s not over but i very much doubt it now. Waiting for AF and TTC November.

AlleycatMarie · 29/01/2023 12:07

Congratulations to all those getting their bfp!
I tested today (8dpo, AF due in 4 days) and bfn. I know it’s still early, but so many people seem to get their bfp early on, so I just feel I would have seen a hint of a line by now 😒

2021lady · 29/01/2023 10:54

Peak opk day was yesterday. We had sex last night but hubby wasn't able to finish
I'm due to ovulate today but I don't think it's happened yet. Haven't felt it. I hope we can manage to get a session in tonight and him be able to finish otherwise that's me out this cycle
We did do it on Monday and Thursday but I don't think that was enough

BambiBooBoo · 29/01/2023 10:54

Thank you all 😊😊 let's hope they're sticky beans x
