Hi girls just got back from the commitee meeting for playgroup WON the door prize so it was worth going.
Cockenzie our ds has just stopped sleeping in our bed about 2 weeks ago just b4 he turned 2. he only came in half way through the night but he was getting very pushy in bed and noone was getting any sleep so with the help of brillant mumnetters he sleeps in his own bed all night. i started a thread on it and got some great advice but you have jeddah here to help and she has some great advice. Not sure on the BF thing thou as i stopped at 8 weeks.
JB my cycles got shorter too when i was taking the herbs from my natrapath which is similar to Angus catcus but jeddah did remind me that it just means that you get more than 12 chances in a year to fall pg and really the wait isnt as long so you dont do your head in as bad Wink it will be interesting what my cycle will be this month as i stopped taking the herbs just couldnt afford them this month. try working out your ov dates on babycentre.com thats what i do.
Hester thanks for that info on sperm count not sure of the numbers yet gyno will discuss them with me b4 my op next Wed but if i have questions later can i call on you please.
Nicks sorry about the BFN but it maybe too early not over till the fat lady sings.

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 10:12

jeddah · 06/12/2004 10:01

How long have you been breast feeding?

moschops · 06/12/2004 10:01

hi girls.....

i've finally managed to get my christmas decorations up!

well after my unexpected ewcm the other day things got stranger. was woken up early hours of sunday am with a very strange pain by my right hip. at 2am in the morning i was just annoyed that it had woken me!!! but then yesterday i got more ewcm. and it was much more noticeable than when i've had it previously. so either i ov'd or my body is just totally confused...........bd'd anyway, so i can be satisfied i'm not missing any chances.

day off work for me today and i planned to clean the kitchen but dp did it yesterday so i'm going to potter around the house doing little jobs that i always ignore. will pop in here again later

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 09:49

StNickschik · 06/12/2004 09:42

Morning all - haven't time to catch up with 5 days of messages as I'm supposed to be working! so hope I haven't missed too much - Blush. However, did pick up on Geordie's fab news - big hugs and luck to you and yours!
AF due today and have done x 2 tests already (one yesterday and one this morning)!- both BFN not surprisingly. Why did I do it?? Got very excited initially as two blue lines appeared, then realised that I'd bought the new Boots tests and you now have to have a cross in one of the windows to be pregnant not just a line as before. Might still be too early but I don't think so!Oh boo hoo :(
Big helpings of baby dust to us all!

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 09:39

i dont mind either way.but on thread is more friendly!! and maybe someone else can benefit from it? yes please i would like that very much please hester.tx

hester · 06/12/2004 09:29

It stands for Contact Another Talker - basically, I email you via Mumsnet. But you may prefer to keep it on thread Grin

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 09:27

what is CAT?

hester · 06/12/2004 09:22

Excellent! Grin
Cockenzie, you asked for further help lower down the thread. Am happy to but not sure what advice you need? You want me to CAT you, or have you now get what you need?

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 09:19

hester if i get pg thins month i'll be happy to buy u all 2 drinks..

hester · 06/12/2004 09:09

Tania - I used to work in a clinic where they do these tests and can reassure you that some abnormal is fine. EVERY man has some sperm with two heads, some that swim round in crazy circles, some that are too sleepy to bother swimming... the critical thing is the numbers (you will usually get given three numbers: the number of sperm per sample, the proportion that are abnormal and how 'motile' - i.e. energetic and swimming in the right direction - they are). I can't remember off the top of my head what numbers you should be looking for but will look it up if you like. But it sounds reassuring so far, and I'm sure they'll explain all to you at the visit.

jingle - thanks for putting me on your list! I'm trying my hardest, honest! Grin

OK, I think that whoever gets pg between now and the meet-up should still come along to buy the others a drink! (Of course, they may prefer not to hang out with losers like us - but whoever said it was a free country?)

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 09:06

sory never heard of the angus cactus thing!

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 09:06

nothing temps her jb but the breast....just pulling my hair out

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 09:03

Forgot to mention, my cycle last month was 24 days not 25 as I thought, it's getting a lot shorter since being on this angus catus thing, am thinking of stopping it, (hope fully my body will have had enough of a boost, I don't want my cycle to get any shorter thou. Any ideas are wwelcomed. will the angus catus keep on shortening my cycle? I was up half the night thinking about this, and trying to predict dates fot DH's home coming, I think i'll just think like my 16 yr old slef towards BD and just go at it hammer and tongs etc... and see what effect that has.

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 08:53

distraction even.

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 08:52

have u tried the baby whisper method of distration? but encouraging cuddles at the same time?

(not that I want to appear sad watching that prog, but she does give handy tips)

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 08:48

why is it that at times i try to keep her off the breat but she will head straight for it and (sometimes during meals or out of meal times) i will give her some food or try to and she refuses it and just wants the breast? i keep asking myself WHY??

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 08:41

any advice tanya2 for my pb please? or someone else??

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 08:38

glad hula af much better now.just a pain to restart another cycle.huggies..

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 08:37

very busy yesterday.as we move out in jan we have to let people see the flat for renting and had to run like headless chicken to tidy it all up

tanya - baby wont go back in bed.well she still sleeps with us tbh.
but what annoyes me most is (she likes juice so will take cup,but not keen on bottle) is that she is too easy on the breast which is think is more for comfort.can it be though?i promised myself no2 will be on bottle so dp can do the feeding

i tell u girls.....it feels so good to moan and winge here (and hopefully without boring u)hope u all feel the same!!!hehe
