@Lal33 we are officially on cycle 3.. we weren’t careful in late September/early October as we were on honeymoon. But I would say properly trying from late October/ early November. It feels like much longer when it’s all you can think about though 🤣

Where abouts in your cycle are you now?
I think we might have missed ovulation slightly last month so planning to try every other day for the next two weeks! 🤞🏼 x

I'm CD 8 today with O predicted for CD16, and AF due 12 days later which is 20th Jan, so it's going to be a busy week or two! We don't have a problem with every day 🫣, probably by virtue of my Step-DD living with her mum and this being our first! Luckily it's fallen this time on our holidays from work so will be making the most of it. Xx

PumpkinTruffles · 30/12/2022 15:05

@Laul89 Thank you... it really is. It's so hard not to test early, but I think it's even harder to get your hopes up with a positive that turns out not to be. I agree, I don't think I'd have been so down if AF had just showed up and I hadn't tested. Good luck to you!

Maxime34 · 30/12/2022 15:04

I'm fairly certain I'm out for December so hoping I can join you for January 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LAgeDeRaisin · 30/12/2022 14:57

9dpo and another BFN for me 💔

Sb86 · 30/12/2022 14:55

Currently on CD10 and got our first ever flashing smiley on clearblue ovulation test (first time using them) also using natural cycles too and that predicts ovulation to be CD13 so let's see if they match up. I've got my heart set on being pregnant before May because I don't want to get to our baby's due date (who we sadly mc) and not have something positive to get us through. I'm trying not to stress about it but it's literally in almost every thought that goes through my mind! I'm thankful for the children I already have, 2 girls and a boy youngest being 13 I had them young between 19 and 23. I am now 36 and with someone different, couldn't believe our luck when we fell pregnant 1st ttc back in August/Sept. I'm just hoping that the mc wasn't due to me being older and having lower progesterone, so many things go through your mind and it makes you lose faith in your body. Fingers crossed for all of us getting our BFPs going into the new year ❤

Hi all,

Hope it isn't too late to join. TTC #2, AF due on 12th Jan. Took us a long time to take the plunge to try for second one, our first is almost 4.

Came of hormonal coil in Nov and half-heartedly tried then. Trying in Dec also was more "not preventing" than really trying. Next month I guess we'll go at it more properly. First one took 6 cycles but I was also younger then... Now late 30s.

GemLou88 · 30/12/2022 12:40

I’m 5dpo too @WonderfulSummer. Really dragging at the moment. When are you planning to test?

Babydustthisyear · 30/12/2022 12:32

Hi everyone, love reading all your posts, very helpful im basically joining any ttc chat lol! I’m 32 and this will be our first time ttc, ovulate next week and I think I am getting so over excited but I know it can take time but can’t help predict when baby will be due 🙈 Babydust for all this year xx

PumpkinTruffles · 29/12/2022 20:39

I'll be joining. Was pretty deflated when AF turned up yesterday after a positive FRER on Xmas Eve. I won't be testing early this next cycle, no matter how tempting

Sorry to hear this, it’s so disappointing isn’t it. Same happened to me in November and I won’t ever test early again after that. AF arrived 2 days early a few weeks ago but I found it easier assuming it was just a usual period than knowing it was a chemical again if that makes sense. Fingers crossed for next cycle 🤞🏼✨

2021lady · 30/12/2022 11:18

Hi everyone
Hope you don't mind me posting
This month was my first cycle using femara
I am on cd12 now and should hopefully ovulate soon
If all works I will get my bfp in January

Parkopedia · 30/12/2022 10:33

CD15 here so prime time for DTD, and DP is sick as a dog! I'm gutted! 😂

WonderfulSummer · 30/12/2022 09:06

Time really does seem to slow down during the TWW doesn’t it?! Think I’m 5DPO (not 100% sure as haven’t used OPKs and I had a chemical last month so wonder if that might have thrown dates off) and the idea of waiting another week or more to test is crazy!

Hope everyone has fun new years plans to keep themselves busy!

Ncl31 · 30/12/2022 06:11

@MilkyAndFluffy i believe there is surgery they can do but I’ve not looked into it to be honest. I’ve not wanted to get myself too wound up about it and will deal with it if it comes to that.

TTCno1in23 · 29/12/2022 22:29

Hi girls, I’d love to join the thread please! AF arrived today after our first month officially TTC no1. A bit deflated but I know the chances of conception in month one are probably slim! Reading the thread makes me feel like I’m not alone. Sending baby dust to you all for 2023!✨

Thank you, I’ve got everything crossed. Hopefully the abstaining between Boxing Day and next Tuesday will
help his little swimmers find their way when they finally get up there, as long as my tubes aren’t blocked

@Ncl31 Fingers crossed for you and his swimmers. If there is a blockage in your tubes can they unblock it? It’s such an awful situation sending you love 😔

Ncl31 · 29/12/2022 20:32

MilkyAndFluffy · 29/12/2022 20:23

I feel for you as I don’t do well with pain either - just try to think of how worth it will be if it works like it did for your work friend! I have everything crossed for you that 2023 is your year 🙌

AF arrived on 26th for me so I rang to try and book my HSG today.
got an appointment for 3rd which is CD9 and coincidentally the day OH is having his sperm analysis.
I’ve heard good things including a girl I work with who got her BFP on her HSG month so hoping that Jan should be our month.
im now nervous and slightly anxious about it as I don’t do pain very well.

@Parkopedia i haven’t really been doing anything on the lead up to it, I haven’t had a clue what I’m doing to be honest so thank you so much for the advice. So ideally need to be DTD more prior to the positive test in your opinion? I’m happy to try anything as I’m getting impatient already! Is it likely for the sperm to survive long enough and stick around for the egg? I know it can live up to 5 days but is there an average do you know? Well if it worked for you first time around, I’m happy to give it a go haha nothing to lose is there! I just need to get DP on board with more DTD within that week😂Also, good luck for try number 2, sending you lots of baby dust for this time around. When are you planning on testing? Thank you for the advise 😚

This is the first proper cycle, but we've not been trying not to for about 3 months, if that makes sense.

How about you?

On Day 3 of AF, usually lasts 4 days but I'm finding my AF heavier since my Mc. Only consolation is my cycle seems to be regular since it- hoping that will be on my favour in January. TTC cycle 4.

Think I had a chemical last cycle and my usual 4 day period turned into 7. I’m also TTC cycle 4, on CD8 now.
