@PeopleAreToads understand you feeling like that*

Sb86 · 02/01/2023 15:45

@PeopleAreToads my last cycle I ended up ovulating earlier than predicted so I totally you feeling like that. Felt a bit robbed but keep your chin up as you never know, it only takes one time. I used CB digi ovulation tests this month for the first time and it tallied up with my natural cycles temps...feel a bit more confident this month but it's not in our hands anymore we've done all we can.

justwantobeamum · 02/01/2023 15:24

Can I join please. We’re TTC no2. Ds is 9 months I’m breastfeeding so just got my period back in December. I also had a chemical in September before my periods returned. Very tired with DS though so haven’t really DTD very much, then I get annoyed at myself not giving myself a chance. Two close friends are now pregnant and I really want this as would love a small gap so need to make more effort!

PeopleAreToads · 02/01/2023 13:54

So did a test with a CB OPK this afternoon (couldn't resist) and that's now showing peak, even though that and my monitor have been low for the last 6 days. So seem to have slipped the high stage completely, though CM has only really become noticeable today and not as heavy as normal at ovulation

Totally confused to where I'm at with ovulation now and feeling massively deflated that I might have missed the window entirely for this cycle before we've even started

I haven’t been tracking so am not sure how many dpo I am. We only decided to go for it on Christmas Eve and started then and there on cd16. My cycle varies slightly but I think I normally have an 11 day Leuteal phase so ovulate anywhere around then until about day 21 (if I have a 32 day cycle).

Last time I got pregnant was with my ex on cd23 (not trying and thought I was well clear of ovulation, took the MAP to be safe and bam pregnant). But me and my partner have had a couple of oops moments over the last year that we decided not to bother with the MAP after and I didn’t get pregnant on those months, so I am not assuming it’s going to be so easy to fall pregnant a second time.

Period is due next weekend, but could be earlier or later as it’s not clockwork (28-33 days range but always 11 days after ovulation), so I’m just sat here wondering if we’re in with a shot this month or missed ovulation altogether so there’s no point symptom spotting.

MilkyAndFluffy · 02/01/2023 13:20

Well after a super long TWW my period has arrived today - argh!!!!! So time to start again… Cycle Day 1…. Good luck to everyone else still in their two week wait, sending you all baby dust & fingers crossed for your BFP’s 😚

ttcat37 · 02/01/2023 12:24

Just checking in. I’m CD12 and having a weird one. My LH is still really low. Usually get a positive OPK on CD12 after 0.5 ish on CD11. But I haven’t got above 0.38 yet this cycle. Wondering if it’s something to do with chemical last cycle or just a random thing. Hope I don’t have an anovulatory cycle.
Anyone else have trouble not peeing for hours to get a decent LH sample 😆 I drink coffee/ tea (mostly decaf) a lot and then water on top. Either I’m bursting or my pee is like water 😂

Sb86 · 02/01/2023 11:56

@2021lady my TWW starts tomorrow with af due on the 16th, fingers crossed it goes relatively quick and we get our BFP at the end of it!

2021lady · 02/01/2023 11:38

I'm 1 dpo now. Hopefully this tww goes quick. Period due 15th January I'm.so hoping it doesn't show

First cycle TTC #1 and CD12. Been tracking ovulation with CB fertility monitor for a few months to get to know my cycle and always had a flashing smiley by this stage, so feeling a little stressed. If waiting for ovulation is this bad, I can't imagine how I'm going to cope with the TWW!

Glad I read about the high number of chemicals on here, had been discussing with DH whether we wanted to use FRERs or wait until the monitor tells me to test when AF is due

JuniperandI · 02/01/2023 10:17

@Roxybabe1 I'm so sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. Fingers crossed for the next cycle ❤

Emz30 · 01/01/2023 22:35

LAgeDeRaisin · 01/01/2023 22:09

@Emz30 that looks much darker!! I'm due AF on Thursday too so fingers crossed for us both!

I've been frantically peeing on anything that stays still long enough:

You’ve definitely got good line progression there 😍 Fingers crossed for us both 🤞🏼 can’t wait to see how your getting on 😍 I’m so tempted to test again tomorrow but got scared off with the posts of chemical pregnancies 🙈🙈

@Natty83 I quickly left the group after that

I'm so ready for af to be over already tho😂 what a way to start the new year 🙈

@ELJ1502 hello!! 👋
It just sounds like a load of hassle to me, and I didn't track with DC1 and found it hard to interact with the group I was in as everyone seemed to exclude me as I wasn't tracking ovulation and DPO

Nice to have a CD2 buddy 😊

Same with my DH when I tell him "it's my predicted fertile week or AF has stopped"🙊

It is a lot of hassle 😆 and so glad my DH isn't the only one!

DPO matters not, your group sounds awful ☹️ only dates that matter are the arrival of the BFP or the AF.

bubblebab · 01/01/2023 20:58

@Soda123x my app gives a fertile week estimate 🤷🏻‍♀️ definitely agree that you want as least pressure as possible x

Soda123x · 01/01/2023 20:48

@bubblebab I don't track ovulation as such. Just go off my clue app which has an estimate but I don't do any temps or sticks etc ....

I don't want to commit to all that pressure until we are officially "trying". Atm were just not being careful and seeing how it goes. It seemed to work for baby #1 he will be 3 in Feb and it took us 3 months with this approach xx

bubblebab · 01/01/2023 19:52

@ELJ1502 I'm TTC #2 now too.
But I don't think I can add the hassle of more tests.

I'm already an over tester on the pregnancy tests 😂

Fingers crossed for your approach 🤞🏻

ELJ1502 · 01/01/2023 19:44

@bubblebab with my first, I didn’t track until the month we conceived. We took a relaxed approach, then I kept getting disheartened so decided to give it a go. I didn’t realise that I ovulated so late in my cycle and we were previously giving in by the point that I was ovulating. The tracking made me realise this and then we conceived.

For number 2, we are actively trying and going straight in with the tracking. I don’t know if this will work or not but we’re going for it.

Definitely don’t stress about it :)

Natty83 · 01/01/2023 19:43

bubblebab · 01/01/2023 16:19

Does anyone on here NOT track ovulation?

I'm on cycle day 2. Everyone seems to track it and then can test on the right DPO, but is there anyone like me who DOESNT test?

Feel alone when everyone is comparing DPO and I don't know anything about it 😂

Hello fellow CD2-er!

I didn't used to but it's a slippery slope - did a month to check I was actually ovulating and found I mostly ovulate really early! Which is interesting for me to know but thing is if you're ovulating at some point and generally having sex frequently enough the tests are to some extent irrelevant, and it puts a lot of pressure on the deed itself. The "right" DPO varies so much anyway depending on potentially unknowable things that it's not necessarily a useful comparison - be test buddies with anyone you like 😁

But now I test every month because DH gets quite... ahem... excited when he knows it's not "just for fun" 😄

Downtherabbithole83 · 01/01/2023 16:50

The apps I’ve used always put ovulation one day before the final day of the fertile window (though once I started using opks I discovered I ovulated one or two days before that normally).

I wouldn’t worry about specifics when chatting on here: everyone just wants to support each other and won’t worry if you do or don’t know your days dpo. Just chat away and know that most of us test too early anyway, even when we do know our dpo!

I feel your pain on the disappointment - the ups and downs of ttc are so hard!

bubblebab · 01/01/2023 16:42

@Downtherabbithole83 I use an app which gives me an estimated fertile week but no estimate on ovulation. My cycles aren't regular.
Usually around 34/35 days but this last cycle was 38 (got my hopes up) 🙄

Downtherabbithole83 · 01/01/2023 16:40

@bubblebab I think most people on here use an app so they know roughly when AF is coming (I always used one even when not ttc so AF didn’t surprise me!) and these apps tend to estimate an ovulation date - I know that’s what I was doing before I started using opks. That meant I could give a rough guess of how many dpo I was.

If you’re fairly regular you can work backwards from when your period is to estimate when you ovulated to get your dpo (if you don’t use an app).

To be honest, I didn’t know any of the dpo stuff until I came on here: give it a few days and you’ll be an expert in talking about it even if you don’t track.
