@Knov20 thanks hun. Can’t believe if happened to so many of us 😥I’ve decided I’ll never test now until my period is 4-5 days late (ideally a whole week late). I got my BFP at 7/8DPO which I knew was just far foo early!!

@Laul89 thanks hun! Was pretty gutted! Fingers crossed for us this cycle!

Told my fiancé today that I think it’s best that we wait a few months before trying again for baby#2.
So won’t be on the chat anymore

Myself and baby#1 are suffering from covid VERY badly and I know it’s the best choice not to TTC right now as my body is so run down and im struggling as can’t even eat.
And I don’t want to risk the health of a unborn baby with a history of miscarriages

I’m obviously upset as I was so excited to start trying but partner said not to get upset as it’s the best decision…

But I hope everyone gets their BFPs soon 🤞🏻💕good luck ladies

I hope you and little one recover soon ❤ and lots and lots of luck for when you are back on the train.
It's okay to be upset, something can be what's best for you and upsetting at the same time. Be kind to yourself x

PrimarilyParented · 04/01/2023 21:46

@Laul89 if you’re not tracking ovulation I would definitely continue for several days after the last ewcm. I read loads at the time (in disbelief as I was sure it was the wrong time of the month) and there are other threads where people track and ovulation is 3 days after ewcm ends.

Sb86 · 04/01/2023 20:39

Hope you and baby feel better very soon @bubblebab and all the best for the future, never know might cross paths again.

8DPO today and been very crampy this afternoon. Only other thing of note is a lot of cervical mucus - way way more than normal.

Trying to hold off on testing until Saturday (11DPO) but the urge is getting very strong now!

Knov20 · 04/01/2023 19:39

@2021lady I had this last cycle. I did get a bfp but a week later I tested negative :( not sure what it was all about!! I also had ovulation bleeding about 7/8 days post ovulation just a tiny amount

My peak opk this morning hasn't lasted all day. Is that normal?

ttcat37 · 04/01/2023 18:07

Knov20 · 04/01/2023 13:29

Well I got a positive opk this morning. We dtd lastnight and will do again tonight and if my husband isn't fed up and exhausted then maybe the following day just to be absolutely sure we've covered all timings.

@Knov20 I know this feeling… we have decided that multiple nights on the trot aren’t doable for us and trying every other day instead.

I just did a cheapo LH strip and got a 0.89. My peak is usually over 1 so based on that I don’t think I’m there yet. But I did a clear blue digital opk straight after and got a static smiley.
Which one do I trust?!

2021lady · 04/01/2023 15:06

I'm 4dpo and still feeling crampy like near my ovaries. Is this because I took femara meds this cycle? It feels like ovulation pains for like 4 days now. Never have this before

TunnocksTCake · 04/01/2023 14:23

@bubblebab from my experience, when I have a short period my fertile days are earlier in my cycle, and I therefore end up having a shorter cycle. I test for ovulation and for example in August my period was 3 days, ovulated cd 14 and cycle was 28 days, but then in Sept my period was a week and I ovulated cd 17 and cycle was overall 31 days.
As the luteal phase (after ovulation) stays the same, the follicular gets shorter when the bleed is shorter - for me anyway!
Hope that's helpful, cm is a great indicator as pp have said.

@Soda123x absolutely makes sense, I'm in the same mindset to be honest this month after reading about so many cps. My af due 16th so going to try hold off on testing, although I know what I get like nearer to the time. Silly really though as I'll either be pregnant or not pregnant in the end up anyway so may aswell wait til af misses to test. Going to try and not symptom spot too as I become obsessed with googling every little thing! Good luck and fingers crossed for your BFP 🤞🏼

ttcat37 · 04/01/2023 10:23

Hi ladies. Think I missed my LH peak this month. Either that or I haven’t ovulated. Tested yesterday AM and it was 0.38 and when I got home late last night it was 0.75. This morning 0.57. Didn’t get chance to dtd yesterday either so might be out this month for both those reasons.

Soda123x · 04/01/2023 09:08

Hi all.
Im now in the TWW. AF due 15th Jan but I am going to hold off testing until 17th if AF not arrived as I can have shorter / longer cycles etc ... it is hard not to test but after reading about so many CPs lately I would rather not know / get my hopes up (if that makes sense)

Good luck to all 🤞 xx

Laul89 · 03/01/2023 22:37

@PrimarilyParented this is interesting about the CM as I don’t track ovulation either.. my cycles are usually between 30-33 days long so my app usually puts ovulation at day 16-18. I’m currently on CD15 so ovulation is predicted tomorrow but I’ve had some EWCM since 29th December which was day 11! Starting to tail off a bit now. Been DTD every day or every other day since CD9.. starting to get a bit sick now but know we need to keep going as like you say I could ovulate late! What a minefield 🫠🤣

PrimarilyParented · 03/01/2023 21:15

@bubblebab glad I can help. I would also not rely totally on cm and keep at it for a while after it disappears. I conceived #1 on cd23 thinking I was absolutely fine and well clear of my fertile period based on cm and my period app, but I obviously wasn’t 😳.

bubblebab · 03/01/2023 21:07

@PrimarilyParented that's really helpful- thank you!

PrimarilyParented · 03/01/2023 21:06

@bubblebab the length of your period doesn’t usually change your fertile days, but you may find that these days change each month as if you’re tracking ovulation you might find it moves around from one month to the next. It’s your leuteal phase (after ovulation) that should stay pretty consistent. I know, for instance, that mine is usually 11 days and 14 is the normally cited number but anything between 10-17 is normal.

if you’re not tracking ovulation specifically (I’m not atm) then at least look out for fertile cervical mucus and consider that the start of your fertile period.

bubblebab · 03/01/2023 20:32

So I'm on CD4
AF usually lasts 5/6 days. (Or 5/6days+day spotting after)
Cycle usually lasts 35 days on average atm.

I started with pink spotting 31Dec which doesn't usually happen. AF stated 1Jan.
CD4 today and AF has nearly stopped, now have brown spotting. So AF is shorter than usual this cycle.

Does this change my fertile days?
How will I know my fertile days now?
I don't track ovulation

(I use OVIA app and Apple Health app to track AF)

TunnocksTCake · 03/01/2023 11:39

Hi, can I join? Im on CD 4 of Cycle 3 of TTC #2 and very actively trying, already so obsessed, it's awful! I usually o on CD 16ish so will be testing at the end of the month.

For those wondering about Chemicals, I had 3 Mcs before I conceived DD1, 1 of which was a chemical and I fell pg the next month with DD. I think of all the mcs they are most likely due to chromosomal abnormalities so nothing you can do, its just one of those things. It does show you can get preggers though, so positive thoughts :) Best not to test early as pp have said, tho I know thats easier said than done!

I also used Preseed the month I conceived DD so using that again!

I am thinking of trying the CB digi ovulation strips this month as I struggle to test in the day with the cheapy ones and like how easy to read they are!
Good luk everyone :)

Ncl31 · 03/01/2023 10:43

Thank you all for your positive thoughts and wishes. HSG all done and my tubes are patent and there seems to be no uterine abnormalities. Trying to stay positive but not get my hopes up too much about the 30% increased chance of a BFP in the next 3 months. Baby dust to you all.

Morning all, I've never managed a positive OPK before but always had O confirmed by temp. Decided to go for the ClearBlue O test this month instead of the Amazon sticks as its pretty foolproof to read.

Anyway I've gone from an empty circle yesterday to a static smiley today. Nothing in between. Nothing like unexpected pressure 🤣🤣

How accurate do you reckon they are in relation to other brands?

Lx

I get severe ovulation pains so know exactly when I'm ovulating. Everytime I've used the cb opks I've got a static smiley on the day I get the worst pain so they're definitely accurate for me

Emmamoo89 · 03/01/2023 09:24

Ncl31 · 03/01/2023 07:31

So I’m off for my HSG test this morning ladies…. Been awake most of the night worrying about it. I have no idea why I’m worrying as I know exactly what they’re going to do, I think I’m just stressed about the results maybe.
OH is going for his semen analysis this morning too.

Good luck. Hope you goes okay fot you and your Partner x

PeopleAreToads · 03/01/2023 09:12

@Lal33

I never had any luck with amazon cheapies either, was worried I wasn't ovulating so invested in Clear blue.

But now also have the clear blue fertility monitor which is giving totally different results to the clear blue sticks. I went straight to static smiley on the sticks, wheras the monitor showed low and only went to flashing smiley two days after!

So going to DTD until the monitor says peak too. Just confused how they given such different results when they're supposed to be exactly the same test

So not sure if that really helps you tbh!
